LISA "Congratulations Luna, you are pregnant with the alpha's heir" The Pack's doctor announced with a heartily tone. He was so excited for me. It's been three years since I've been trying my best to conceive for my husband, the Alpha. We tried several methods but to no avail.. I took the papers and I squeezed them quickly into my purse and stood up. Without replying to his wishes, I stood up and left the office. For the past few weeks, my relationship with Lucas has been hitting the drain and this all goes down to our childlessness. The pack's elders have been pressuring him to get a divorce. They've also tried several times to get Alpha Lucas to have s*x with other eligible she-wolves from the pack in order to prove that I was the infertile one. I've been depressed lately because of his distant attitude, however, I hope that the news of this baby will bring back his love for me. I arrived at the pack house and I stepped out of the taxi and headed inside. Immediately I reached the entrance, I had a strange cold feeling climb up inside of me. My chest began to hurt, I felt like I was losing it. What's going on? Is anything happening to Lucas? I asked myself rhetorically as I went inside. My wolf wouldn't even reply to me but her heart kept pounding as if something was wrong somewhere. I felt it.. the mate bond was getting stronger between Lucas and I. I reached the hallway leading to Lucas's and my bedroom, I met a maiden who was coming out from that angle. "Where is alpha Lucas?" I asked her, ignoring the stings in my chest. I hope nothing happens to my baby, with the amount of pain I am feeling, I hope to get past it soon. It was as if something was going on, I also noticed the strange attitude of the bodyguards earlier while I was coming in. Now, this maiden looked frightened As if something had happened in the pack that I didn't know off. I've just been away for like two hours so there was nothing unusual to happen without my notice. Unless, something was happening to Lucas that I didn't know of. I walked past the maiden who could barely respond to my question and I headed towards the bedroom. On getting there, I could hear some soft moans emanating from the room as it filled the hallway. I tried not to judge before I got my assumptions right. The door was half-opened, I wonder how they left it this way .. What the hell is going on inside here? I asked, immediately I pushed the door open with both hands. My eyes were wide opened when I saw my own husband, Lucas, in a compromising position with my best friend Anna. I was trying to place a finger around the current scene I was noticing.. I felt like.my eyes played a dark trick on me. My head began to spin as my chest hurt the more. "Lucas…" I groaned out as the pain in my chest increased. They suddenly noticed my presence and stopped their actions. Lucas jerked out of the bed when he saw me. "Lisa…" he tried to explain things to me but I shut him off with a gesture. My eyes didn't leave the woman who was in bed, and was moaning to my husband's touches. She was my best friend for Goodness sake. Another person would've been better, or he shouldn't have cheated on me at all with anyone. "How could you do this to me, Lucas?" I asked, my chest hurt the most… The bond was slowly being broken by me. I didn't want to be with Lucas anymore, no matter what he told me. "Lisa, I can explain.. It isn't as it seems!" *Slap* My fingers landed on Lucas's cheek with a resounding slap. Anna was forced to get off the bed. She wanted to come attack me. "How dare you hit Lucas?" She yelled, trying to protect him from my wrath. "Stay away from this, Anna, " Lucas warned her. I smiled coldly, I didn't speak because my voice was already drowning in internal tears. I touched my tummy and let go quickly so they wouldn't notice. "Lisa.. please wait" Lucas tried to stop me immediately he noticed that I was trying to leave. "Let go of me!" I growled out angrily, I would kill him if he touched me again. "I'm sorry, please.. I do not know what came over me, please let's just talk this out" Lucas begged me.. "Lucas, let go of me this instance" I yelled "Lucas, baby.. Let her go, she's barren anyway.. What do you need someone like her for?" Anna said Mockingly. I was forced to turn and look at her. She was someone I called a friend, nearly a family. I've known Anna even before I got to meet Lucas. While I was raised by my foster parents, Anna was the only one who stood by me as a friend. I valued her and told her everything about my affairs. She even encouraged me to accept Lucas as my mate after we discovered that we were mates. How could she backstab me in this manner? I was just so stunned to find out that all these happened while I was away trying to find a solution to my illness which later turned out to be pregnancy. I was carrying the child of this cheating bastard. I turned slowly, glaring at Lucas. "When did this start?" I asked, using a fake smile to mask my pain. Lucas tried to touch me but I rebuked him. He couldn't try me. "Since a few months ago, Lisa. Don't act like you are innocent too. You're also cheating on Lucas.." Anna said, Lucas glared at me coldly. "Lisa, is it true?" He asked
