It was morning and Lisa had woken up to get the daily activities started. Unlike when she was Lucas's Luna, the duties were somehow relieved because Lucas was there to support her.

Now, she is the leader of her own pack without an Alpha, she had to carry out all the duties on her own. Before her grandpa died, he told her there was an impending war with some other packs which made her plan to hasten the marriage alliance.

Lisa got dressed up and went downstairs, she expected Alpha Ryker to be at the dining room but when she got down, it was announced to her that he was in the training field with his Beta and other members of her pack.

Elisabeth couldn't think of why he was there. She quickly went to check. "Luna, it's cold outside" a maiden came with a coat for her to wear. Lisa rushed out after that.

As expected, Alpha Ryker was indeed training with some of the wolves from her pack. She watched from a distance, how he displayed his strength and fought them. Alpha Ryker was as powerful as her grandpa described.

His strength was unmatched, Lisa admired him as she watched. He was so focused, his hand game was powerful and no werewolf in the field could subdue him.

His muscles, just as she saw them yesterday, were perfect. With a well detailed claw tattoo on his chest, Lisa couldn't stop staring.

Soon, Ryker noticed her presence. He had been feeling uneasy since she arrived so he decided to look and he saw her standing at the entrance of the field watching.

Lisa raised her gaze, making their eyes interlock with each other. She didn't even blink so did he. But the whole thing had a greater effect on him than her.

Ryker didn't expect it when he was attacked by one of her werewolves who managed to bring him down. Lisa was stunned. He had gotten distracted and the wolf noticed that was why he attacked Ryker.

Lisa rushed towards the scene as he laid flat on the ground. Other wolves from Lisa's pack cheered on their wins. Beta Adams and Ryker's men quickly helped him up.

Ryker's face turned red with anger, he couldn't believe that a little wolf was able to bring him down. And it was all Isabella's fault.

Lisa placed her hand on his shoulder and inspected his body. "Are you alright, Alpha?" She asked curiously.

"I'm fine," he answered in a cold tone.

"What are you doing here?" Ryker asked her. "I couldn't find you inside and I was told you were here" she explained.

Adams gave Ryker his coat which he wore immediately and went inside the mansion with Lisa.

Ryker's injury got healed immediately, so there wasn't any need for Lisa to apply any medicine for him. She however followed him to his bedroom to talk.

Lisa sat on the bed while Ryker moved towards his wardrobe to change.

Lisa was quick to turn her gaze away in order not to look at him.

"You can say what you want. I'm listening" Ryker said to her, Lisa bit her tongue. She had to tell him about the pregnancy now…

"I wanted to tell you something…" she said slowly and Ryker turned. He noticed that she wasn't looking. He wore his clothes, still waiting for her to speak which she didn't.

"You haven't said anything Lisa.." his voice was calm but seductive. Ryker soon came up to her, standing in front of her, rendering Lisa speechless.

"I'm going to be your husband soon, you should get used to seeing my body" he reminded her.

Lisa felt a bit uneasy about what he said but it was just the truth. She has to start getting used to him soon, they are expected to get mated and that includes intimacy.

She didn't want to fail her pack for the second time. Lisa tightened her fist while she dug her fingernails into her bare palm. It hurt her but that was how frightened she was to announce the news of her pregnancy to him.

"You wanted to say something to me, or did you get distracted?" Ryker asked teasingly.

"Y.. yes. I wanted to tell you something. Alpha, I'm…" a knock sounded on the door, distracting her from speaking. Ryker moved away from Lisa and went to check the door.

"Alpha, we got a message from the pack" Beta Adams said.

"What does it say?" He asked.

Beta Adams looked at Lisa first then Alpha Ryker. He was wondering if he should speak or keep quiet until she leaves. "You can speak, Adams. Lisa is going to be our Luna anyways" he stated.

"Alpha Russo is back. He arrived at the pack house last night. He requests that you return in time for the mating ceremony to be conducted "

Ryker clenched his fist hard, even though he didn't say a word, his anger was obvious. Alpha Russo was his uncle who had raised him from childhood after the death of his parents.

Alpha Russo was Lucas's father, Ryker's cousin. Ryker had a rough childhood growing up under Alpha Russo's mentorship.

He despised alpha Russo and Adams knew about it that was why he didn't want to announce the news in front of Lisa.

"You may excuse us" Ryker said to Adams, turning to Lisa who sat nervously on the bed.

"W.. what's wrong?" She asked him, seeing how his mood changed.

"It's nothing. What did you want to say? I'm listening"

Lisa jerked up instantly. "It's nothing important. I was going to ask when we are leaving?"

"Tomorrow, as soon as possible" Ryker stated. Lisa sighed. "It's fine then" she stated and rushed out of the bedroom. Her attitude was slightly different so Ryker noticed. He couldn't help but suspect that she was hiding something from him.

Later that morning, they were at the dining room eating breakfast. When the maidens served Lisa's meal, she felt a bit nauseated from the smell. Lisa wanted the food out of her presence that instance.

It was the morning sickness acting up and if it continued this way, Alpha Ryker might notice. Lisa placed her hand close to her nose, trying to cover up for the smell.

Ryker, who noticed her actions, decided to ask. "Are you alright? Don't you like the food?"

Lisa shook her head. "It's fine. I just don't have appetite" she said,

Ryker didn't eat his meal anymore but just watched her. He picked up his spoon and took a scoop of the food and fed her.

"Here"

Lisa looked at him, she couldn't stand the food but she had to pretend and eat it to cover up. She ate, and swallowed at once.

It was supposed to be a romantic activity between them but it made Lisa feel more miserable. The meal went straight through her wrong track, making her choke. Asides from the fact that she felt like vomiting.

Ryker was surprised by her reaction. He stood up quickly and went to her, patting her back slowly.

"Sorry Lisa. Should I call the doctor?"

"No." Lisa immediately refused even before he finished speaking. She noticed that her actions sparked up their suspicions. "No, it's fine. I can manage" Lisa said.

Ryker shrugged his shoulders. "If you say so then I won't force you"

He returned back to his seat. Lisa excused herself and stood up. "I'll be in my room now" she said,

Ryker watched her walk away, but she didn't look stable. Lisa felt a hard headache hit her head and she rubbed her temple slowly.

She held the walls for support as she walked away. Ryker stood up quickly and went to hold her before she fell into his arms and fainted.

"Lisa… Lisa " he called her name.

"Luna Elisabeth"

"Lisa"

Her name was being called from different angles. "Someone go.. call the doctor here now!" Ryker ordered.

"Congratulations Alpha, Luna Elisabeth is pregnant " the physician announced, handing the reports to him.

"What?" Ryker asked, stunned by the sudden announcement.

The physician couldn't understand why Alpha Ryker was so stunned. Since they were together, he must be responsible for it so he didn't have to act so surprised.

He grabbed the reports and read it. "Doctor, are you sure about this?" He questioned the man again.

"Yes, Alpha. I'm positive, " he declared.

Alpha Ryker was so furious. Even after the doctor left, he still couldn't believe it. He looked at the reports over and over again.

Beta Adams didn't want to intervene yet, he was waiting for Ryker to make a decision and give his orders to him.

Lisa woke up much later, she still felt weak from fainting earlier. Lisa managed to sit upright on the bed, she could barely carry her body as the weight of pregnancy was beginning to make her feel uneasy.

She looked up and her eyes met the coldest pairs of eyes she had ever seen. His sharp gaze met hers, Ryker wanted to devour the woman In front of him. How could he forgive her when she didn't tell him about the pregnancy earlier?

"Ryker.. I" he grabbed her neck and pressed it tight, choking her and she was unable to speak.

"Let go of me.." she demanded. Lisa knew that he must've already found out about the pregnancy but she didn't expect him to react in this manner. Since they didn't get married yet he shouldn't be acting this way with her.

Ryker couldn't control his anger and he almost choked her to death, Lisa slapped him hard on his face before he let go.

"How dare you lay your hands on me?" She roared at him.
