Ryker, who had been facing the wall and pondering, finally turned to her.
"Is this what you've always wanted to tell me?" Ryker asked her, and she nodded.
"I'm sorry…" Lisa lowered her head as she spoke, she knew how disappointed he was towards her but it wasn't her fault. What did they expect when she had been married before?
She couldn't deny her child of living, Lisa waited to hear his opinion about the situation so she would also make her decision. She knew from his reactions that he wouldn't accept the marriage alliance anymore but she still had to hear from him.
Lisa planed to persuade him, she planned on making a proposal to him if he accepted her. "W.. what do you think we should do? Are we still pushing through with the alliance?" She asked Ryker.
The whole room was in a long dead silence as he didn't respond to her. Lisa pinched her fingers nervously, almost breaking her nails.
"I understand if you want to refuse, besides, I have been married to another before and that alone should be a dissatisfaction for you" Lisa said.
"No, Lisa! You do not understand what is going on!" Ryker roared, he was slowly losing control of his wolf due to anger. Lisa noticed and she stood up, trying to make him to calm down but Ryker was obstinate.
He pushed her away. "Don't touch me. You will only make this worse" he declared.
Lisa was confused by his words but she already understand that he was still furious at her.
She raised her gaze, glaring at him. Inside her heart, she already made her decision to let him go. She would just focus on raising her child when he's born.
"You don't have to say anything, Alpha. I understand your decisions" Lisa said and heads out of the bedroom. Only to be held back by Ryker. When she tried to break lose from his grip, he ended up pining her unto the wall, pushing himself into her.
She placed her hands on his chest trying to stop him from moving closer to her.
"Do you think that I'm just a pushover? Lisa, do you think that you can just use me as you like and leave me too?"
Lisa couldn't understand him, the looks in his eyes changed from anger to sadness. Even though his tone sounded angry, his face doesn't show it.
Ryker noticed the squeeze on her face, like she wasn't comfortable with his actions and he quickly stopped.
"I'm sorry Lisa" he apologized for overreacting.
Ryker needed time to think this through. He needed her, even more than she could think of. He had spent all these years searching for her, but when he finally did, fate decided to play a cruel game on him.
Ryker wanted to yell out and tell her that they were mates and he couldn't leave her.
He was so furious, not only because she had been married, but because her former husband had to plant his f*****g seed inside her.
He clenched his fist tight, unable to speak.
"I'm sorry" Lisa apologized, flickering her eyebrows at him.
She didn't say any more words before she exited the bedroom. She knew she had to leave Ryker now so he could make his decision.
