KATHY’S POV I woke up that morning with only one thought in my mind—Ashley needed to be destroyed. The idea was in my head for days. I lay in bed for a minute, staring at the ceiling, then I swung my legs out of bed and started pacing. My room felt too small, even though it was twice the size of most people’s living rooms. The curtains were still drawn, keeping the sunlight out, making the place look like a cave I hadn’t left in days. Maybe I hadn’t.
