Chapter 20: New teammate

Falling to the ground the player's body was left. In this event, there is a rule where a party member can revive its team member. If there is no player appeared to revive her for an hour. The body will disappear in light particles and the player lost the event.
Kaede wipes the sweat on her forehead and then made a exhale.
At the last moment, she is not fast enough to pull her sword from inventory. There is a great chance that she’s the one in a dead-like state.
Currently, they are walking in between the forest area and river area.
“That was very close… I thought I was a goner.”
“Same with me… Kaede is there a place you specifically wanted to go to. There is a lot of dungeons. I have a hard time picking. Most of these boss monsters are event exclusive monsters and there is no date on them.”
“They giving player huge points… That means they probably are very strong, right?”
“Well, that makes sense.”
Yuki squatted and reveal her back to Kaede. She did this assuming that Kaede will ride her back again.
But Kaede instead of riding put all of her equipment together.
“Eh? You don’t want to ride me anymore?”
“I don’t want to cause you too much trouble… Besides I have more fun ideas.”
Kaede runs in a certain direction and Yuki just followed her. Kaede raised a giant log of wood with her small slender arms. Yuki was amazed at what she’s seeing right now.
STR literally translates into strength. Kaede has an insane amount of numbers on her STR. Lifting a giant log of wood is just a piece of cake for her.
After lifting the log of wood she then put it on the river.
“Let's ride this one instead.”
Kaede said as she turned her face toward Yuki. Yuki cracks a smile and giggle.
“You really know how to entertain someone.”
With Kaede in the front and Yuki on the back. They both ride the giant log of wood and slide down on the river stream with big smiles on their face.

They decided to jump off the log and found themselves in the seaside area. Around them were pure white sand and a pleasant beach atmosphere. If this is not an event Kaede and Yuki will be enjoying themselves swimming in this area.
Setting priorities they need to become aware of their enemies.
Through enemies, it's not just referring to the monsters that were spread through the area. Players around them are something that can’t be trusted fully.
After being attacked by two players Kaede and Yuki decided to just trust each other. That was until...
“The sword demon lord… Please don’t kill me!! I’m just a wandering mage!”
A young female player suddenly appeared and she was in a state of shock. Her knees were shaking and she is looking at Kaede like some kind of monster.
“What’s wrong with this girl? She looks pale.”
“Maybe she is anemic… Also, why I’m being called a sword demon lord?!”
“I-I’m not anemic at all. Don’t get the wrong idea. Also, I’m not a player killer.”
The girl said. But Yuki look at her closely and walked. She’s looking straight toward the girl's eyes.
Yuki glares with sharp eyes.
“She might be an assassin trying to follow us… Kaede we can trust this girl. Let's slay her!”
The girl became panicked and stepped back with a troubled expression.
In her mind, she knows that there is no way of her winning against the so-called sword demon lord.
“I just want to participate in this event to test my skills as a player. I don’t have any intention of winning at all. I bare have any points on me. Honestly, I just have 30 points.”
“Why join if you don’t have the intention of winning? I hate players like this. This kind of girl looks down and drags another player down. I guess I’ll cut you down.”
Frighten with Yuki’s words she tried to escape away. By running away.
“I kinda feel bad for her Yuki. She seems to be a good person.”
“That’s naive thinking Kaede. This is a battle event… Besides me, everyone is an enemy.”
Kaede gets what Yuki was trying to say but looking at the silhouette of the running girl. She can stop but feel bad for suddenly suspecting her.
Kaede is too nice and it's something that really worried Yuki even in real life. She is very trusting there is potential she suddenly got kidnapped in real life. That’s the main reason Yuki always tried her best to go with Kaede’s school.
Everything is to protect her.
Not so long after the girl leaves. They heard a scream from afar. IN the same direction where the girl runaway. The girl is running back with incredible speed.
“What’s happening?”
“Someone help me!”
The girls shouted and she carries for help. Huge teardrops fled from her eyes.
Behind the girl, a huge crab monster was chasing her. It's called Beach crab king and one of those high-level monsters.
Kaede seeing her tears didn’t hesitate and grabbed her sword. Kaede runs in the crab's direction. Despite her not having agility. Kaede's movement was quite fast. Even Yuki was surprised that she can run is such a pace.
The girl tripped and the crab was about to attack her dead. Kaede appeared in front of the mage girl and s***h the crab's pincers. After cutting it Kaede rotated her body and deliver another blow of s***h cutting the crab in half.
Defeating it the points were then added.
“T-Thank you so much!”
The mage girl jumps on Kaede's body and hugs her.
Yuki from a distance look at them. She started to feel a bit fond of the girl. The girl is not that harmless. If the mage girl tries to hurt Kaede. Yuki will rush herself and kill the one who kills Kaede.
After that, they decided to take some rest after defeating some monster around the beach area. Sitting on the sand while they are cooking fishes to restore so of their lost HP.
The girl introduces herself. Her name is Clover and she is a mage that specializes in support skills. Despite being a support mage. She finds it hard being with other players.
“I hate those men. They just acting nice and then they started hitting on me. They constantly asked for my number or meet in real life. I specialized in support magic, I wanted to help lots of people. But after those annoying players. I find it hard to trust others anymore.”
Yuki looking at Clover's physical appearance she is totally a looker. She is cute and has a big breast. Seeing that breast. Yuki was feeling irritated and look at her flat chest.
“Kaede we can’t leave her alive…”
“Eh? What’s with that raging eye’s Yuki?”
“Do-Don’t kill me… I at least want to join the top hundred players and get some consolation prize.”
“If you find it hard to get a teammate. Then I’ll be your teammate. Joining me in my party.”
Said Kaede.
Yuki hastily put her hand on Kaede's shoulder and started shaking her non-stop.
“What?! We’re supposed to be an invisible duo right? It's not a duo of we are triple! Or maybe, Having me is not enough for you.”
Yuki said with tears in her eyes.
“Clover is in trouble and I can just leave her like that. If she joins our party. She can’t kill or hurt us. It is part of the rules.”
“You’re so nice it's making me scared. If you continue being like that you’ll end up a huge loser in the end.”
“I may not look like it, but I’m a good judge of person. I believe in Clover. Also, having you is not enough.”
Yuki’s body got stiffed and she retreated with a slow step back. She was stunned by what she heard especially the last sentence. It was echoed in Yuki’s head over and over again.
What is this? I’m not enough. So I’m not enough with Kaede. All my effort is going to waste. My dream life of making a family with Kaede in the future was already ruined before it even started. Not enough means I’m not that valuable to her. Or maybe this girl’s big breast is the one to blame. Yuki thought. She turned her glare on Clover and grit her teeth like a raging wolf.
“I don’t get it but you're terrifying me!”
Clover cries and puts distance on Yuki by running toward Kaede's back. She then embraces Kaede and pressed her chest on Kaede unconsciously.
“You’re chest is very soft.”
Kaede commented.
Seeing it Yuki was enraged. She gets her dagger and got a fixed stare on Clover.
“Stop bullying her Yuki…”
“This is for the sake of our future. I can’t let anyone destroy our future.”
“I don’t know what talking about, but please stop fighting.”
Kade then explained herself to Yuki. Even though they have different thinking processes. Kaede told Yuki that they need Clover for a support skill boost.
Yuki has another thought and then gladly accepted Clover.
“Clover will be our support player.”
A party invitation appeared in front of Clover. And just by seeing it, Clover was moved into tears.
With all the rejections she got and people try to fool her in the past. Kaede and Yuki accepting her is a very heartwarming thing to feel.
Loneliness flashes back on Clover's head. The way she is walking alone to school. Eating alone and being generally alone even in the game. She always thought that she will not be accepted by someone anymore.
“I’ll do my best.”
Clover taps the accept button and her name was place at Kaede’s party. With a new teammate on her. Kaede became much stronger.
