Chapter 35: First team battle

While waiting for the next event to happen. The demon king army or Kaede’s Party is currently honing their skill by grinding their experience points by killing monsters inside a dungeon.
With the combined strength of the five girls and great positioning. They can reach the boss room easily.
Lead by Kaede and followed by the other four girls. They entered the room by pushing a huge massive door. Upon opening a giant white wyvern appeared in front of them.
“Tundra wyvern!”
“Support and Tank positioning!”
Clover and Ronie go to their respective position. Ronie holds her giant's shield and goes in front of everyone. Meanwhile, The support magic-user Clover goes on the back together with Say who has her bow and arrows ready to strike.
Yuki with her high-speed movements goes behind the monster immediately and attacks its wings and long neck.
“Cross blade!”
“Explosive arrows!”
Saya and Yuki’s combination attack made great damage to the wyvern. Its eyes glow in red color. Meaning that it goes on its rage mode. It turned its direction to Yuki to attack her because she is the only one nearest to its location.
Before the wyvern landed a hit to Yuki.
“Provoke!”
Kaede used her skill to pull the monster's attention on her side. The monster without any hesitation flies and charges to Kaede’s location.
“Ronie I’m counting on you!”
“Roger!”
Clover pointed the tip of her magic staff to Ronie and cast a support skill that made her body more durable and sturdier for few seconds.
Ronie heads on intercepted the wyvern head with her shield. Ronie was pushed by a bit. But, amazingly, Ronie manages to stop such a big creature with her shield.
Kaede charges and switches position with Ronie. She raises her sword and in full power, she swings.
“Sword s***h!”
The monster's body was half. Its HP bar was decreased to zero in no time.
In one critical hit. The monster was slain easily.
“I don’t really know whose the monster is right now.”
Saya said.
“Don’t think too much about it. You’re going to get used to how powerful Kaede was. It feels good being with her.”
“I felt kinda useless… I just manage to throw one arrow and that’s it.”
Saya said and averted her eyes from the team.
“Even my skills look overpowered. I still have weaknesses. There are still things that I can’t do without other people's help.”
No man is an Island.
Kaede is currently referring to the hunting event from the past. Without Yuki or Clover on her side, she will definitely be going to die easily surrounded by powerful players like Amber.
She’s just considering herself lucky that a mysterious sniper player helped her in that time.
Kaede’s humble self truly touched Saya. Now after knowing her for several days. Saya already knows that Kaede is a very kind person.
The monster after being defeated released a chest. The five girls opened it. They split the money and just give the drop item to the player who needed it the most.
The Wyvern drops an Ice magic scroll. Even though, Kaede wanted to have Magic skills. She might be able to use it properly. That's the whole team just gave it to magic expert Clover instead.
“Is it really fine?”
“Well, we don’t have an archmage in our team yet. I also think that Clover needs it the most because you don’t have much offense magic on you.”
Yuki said and handed ver the skill scroll to Clover,
“T-Thank you.”

Kaede is currently having trouble face looking at her stats. Despite grinding for the whole day she can level up quickly enough.
But this is normal for players like Kaede who reach a high level. Leveling will be extra hard from now on. Even Yuki whose always playing every night can’t level up quickly she is still in level 45.
“We already finished the daily mission and gain lots of resources. What should we do now?”
Clover asked everyone who looks at each other.
They all have nothing in particular on their mind.
“I have a newly customized dagger from the smith on floor one I better go and get it. I need the top equipment to win the next event.”
“That's true. For me I guess, I’ll be grinding by hunting monsters in the forest. Ronie doesn’t have much damage so the grinding level will be a difficult task for her for sure…”
“Don’t worry about me, I’m fine. I would like to go to the weapon shop for my shield upgrade.”
“I’m going to the library to study new support magic and experiment.”
Looks like everyone had a plan on their mind already except for their leader. Whose still doing her best to think.
And she comes to say something.
“I guess I’m logging out… I don’t have many things to do here for now. Besides, I have to cook dinner tonight. The long weekend is already over. I need to get some rest for tomorrow school. The vacation is about to come on the other day… We can play a lot next time.”
Saya then remembers that they are all school girls.
“We’re all students here right? I wonder if we can all meet each other in real life. Ronie and I are living in Sategaya city.”
“Setagaya… We’re living in main Tokyo city on an apartment.”
“Tokyo city… Kaede and Yuki and both fancy girls huh? I’m living in Hokkaido.”
“So far! I never think that you're that far away from us in real life.”
“I do have free time on Saturday. Maybe I can visit Tokyo and meet up with all of you. The sun is making the day so hot these days. Maybe it's a great time to visit a swimming pool.”
“Swimming pool?!”
Yuki suddenly got excited for some reason.
“Is it really fine to meet us? I mean the fare might be expensive.”
Kaed asked.
“It’s fine… I would like to see all of you too. It's my first time having friends after all. I also want to make memories with you guys in real life.”
Hearing Clover's words. The four girls nodded to each other.
“Then it's decided. Let's meet up and have fun on Saturday.”
The girls will visit the swimming pool.

It's decided and everyone is very happy. Because in the first time they will all meet up in the real world. Kaede and Yuki even go to the shopping mall to buy some summer wear.
But everything is not going like everyone expected. They're supposed to be joyful day is crushed down by nature itself.
Morning Saturday of August, The summer vacation already started. Like most people. Everyone is very excited. This is the only time of the year the students mostly have free time to use in their life.
“Sudden storm is going to hit Kanto region. Heavy rain and thunderstorm are expected for two days.”
“Is rare it's supposed to be summer right? Why it's raining?”
“It's because of the climate change… The heat evaporates the ocean water faster. Loading the clouds water resulting in rain clouds. Multiple rain clouds merging creates a low-pressure area.”
The two talking was the newscaster and teh weather forecaster on teh television. Currently, Kaede is holed in her house watching television as she sips hot ramen soup.
Low-pressure areas are places where the atmosphere is relatively thin. Winds blow inward toward these areas. This causes air to rise, producing clouds and condensation. Low-pressure areas tend to be well-organized storms.
“Low-pressure area… Hmmm… I see that how storms are made.”
After saying that, Kaede made a disappointed sigh and turned her glance on her phone. Picking it up she saw multiple messages about her friends unable to come to Tokyo due to the storm.
It’s not just Kaede who looks disappointed. Clover whose on Hokkaido is worried about her friend's safety.
“Why do you look so worried? That storm is not going here.”
The one talking was Clover’s big brother.
“My friend is living in Tokyo. I’m worried about their safety.”
“I know you're very sad and lonely Kaori, but stop having the delusion of having friends. It’s unhealthy.”
“W-What are you talking about?! I do have friends. I know I’m a sad and lonely girl ever since then, but they are different. I have friends how many times I have to tell you that… You stupid brother!”
Clover’s real-life name is Matsumoto Kaori. A freelance actress and model based in Hokkaido. She is not that popular yet and just starting to become an actress.
“Stop yelling! Anyway, there are several commercial offers for you. It will be shoot next be ready for it. You should stop playing that useless game of yours and focus on a career as an actress.”
Clover’s big brother left her in the living room having a face of anxiety. She clenched her fist and angrily look toward teh magazine placed on top of the table in front of her.
The cover of the magazine was her smiling wearing a branded clothes. Despite her looking cheerful in the magazine. What she truly felt is the opposite of what is shown.
“I don’t really like being an actress.”
Clover muttered.
Looking at the window she imagines Kaede and everyone.
“I wonder what it feels like to live a normal life like everyone else.”
