Chapter 9

Seneca

As we flew through the water, the guys sat and looked around us at the scenery. It was a beautiful boat ride to get out to my house. I loved it, especially at night when the sun was going down. The different colors in the sky made it look so pretty, and I had many pictures of it. Hell, if I'm honest, I had many pictures of the sunset from my porch as well. That view was amazing as well.

When we finally made it out to my house, I slowed down and eased up to the dock as I turned the boat off. When the boat was where it needed to be, I went to throw the ropes off the boat and tie it to the dock, but the guys were already doing it. I guess having them with me did come in handy after all.

Once the boat was tied to the dock, I took the key out of the ignition and grabbed my purse. When I looked at the guys, they were standing there with their mouths open.

"Are you coming or what?" I asked them.

"Seneca, your house is beautiful, and this view is amazing." Reaper said.

"Yeah, it is. It's very peaceful out here as well. I can see why you like it so much. It makes you not want to leave. I love it. You may end up with a visitor out here when I'm not busy with work." Storm said.

"I agree with them, it's very quiet and peaceful out here. But you have an alligator beside your steps up there." Midnight said.

I just laughed and said, "Yeah, he's always around here. Mystic is always squawking at him; she doesn't like him, and Ragnar just ignores him. See, he just flew up to his perch."

They all looked up at the house in time to see him land on his perch beside the porch. And he settled down and went to sleep, while ignoring both Mystic and the alligator.

The guys chuckled at him, and while they were watching him, I started to grab bags of stuff out. Once I had my arms full, I stepped up on the dock and said, "Grab some s**t and come on. After we get everything inside, I'll show you guys all around."

I started up the dock and then up the steps. The guys were behind me, yelling at me to wait for them because of the alligator being there.

I just shook my head at them and continued on my way. When I got up to the steps, I looked down at the alligator and said, "Go on, Old Man. Go swim for a while so that you don't scare the guys."

I couldn't talk to animals, but he was used to me being around and would usually take off when I'd tell him to. It wasn't often that I would, though. He was an older alligator and usually liked to just lie on the bank.

He slowly made his way down to the water and then into it and swam away. I continued up the steps and to the porch. When I got up there, I put the bags down and dug my keys out of my purse and unlocked the door. Then I picked the bags up and headed into the house. I took everything in and set it on the kitchen table, and turned to go back outside for more. But the guys were already coming inside with everything else.

Once everything was inside, I got all of the food put away and anything else that needed to be put away. I put the presents that I had for Dad in my office so that I could wrap them up later. Since I picked up food for Mom and Nanna, I also picked up food for myself. When Midnight stopped and got food, he got enough for himself and the guys, and one of them brought beer with them. So, after everything was put away, we sat down and ate our food.

As we ate, we talked about things that weren't important, just everyday things. What we had been up to the past few years, how the guys' families had been doing, how my college classes were going, and my job at the shop. We kept it light for now.

When we were done eating, we cleaned up the trash, and then I gave them a tour of the house. After we went through the house, I showed them out back. I took them through the greenhouse that I have and my gym. The guys were surprised by how I had designed my house and gym. But they also liked how the sidewalks were with a railing down them to protect me from alligators.

When we got back inside, we all grabbed something to drink and went to sit on the porch. I grabbed a pop since I had to drive them back to Paps later. And after I made sure that the CB was turned on and turned up, I headed outside as well. The guys were all sitting on chairs on the porch, and I climbed up on the bed swing to sit. It was my favorite place on the porch to sit.

"So why did you guys want to come out here? I know that it wasn't just to help me carry my s**t into the house. I can manage that all on my own." I asked them.

They looked between each other before Midnight cleared his throat so that he could talk. "There are reasons that I did the s**t that I did years ago. And I will explain it all to you, I promise. But before that, you need to know something. These two guys and I are together, as in, in a relationship together. We have been off and on."

Midnight was saying, but Reaper jumped in.

"More on than off, and what time it was off was because of him," Reaper told me.

"Yeah, more on than off. But the couple of years that it was off were because I was a f*****g i***t. I pulled away from the guys and from you. f**k Seneca, I've known you since you were a baby. And I watched you grow up into this beautiful young lady. I started to have feelings for you and I felt like a f*****g pervert because I was so much older than you and you were underage. That's why I pulled away from you and from the guys. I tried to date the girl that I was with so that I wouldn't feel like a perv, but I wasn't happy. To make matters worse, you stopped coming around the clubhouse or talking to me. I only dated the girl for a year, but the guys and I didn't work s**t out for another year after that. Turns out that I wasn't the only one who had been falling for you. But unlike me, these two actually talked to each other and their dads and yours about it. It wasn't until well after we had worked s**t out and got back together that I talked to your dad about you. He told me that we had to wait until you were at least twenty before pursuing you. He wanted you to get your degree from college first. He knows how much it means to you. Because you don't come around the clubhouse anymore, we don't get to spend time with you anymore." Midnight said.

"Yeah, and because of that, we don't know anything about each other anymore. We want the chance to get to know you, the grown-up you. And we want a chance to take you out on dates and get to be with you. We've not been with any women in years because the only one that we want is you." Reaper said.

"Yeah, you're it for us, Seneca. You're the one that we want to be with for the rest of our lives. I know that can be a lot to take in, especially since we've not been around each other in so long. But we finally wanted you to know. We'll take things slow and go at your pace. One-on-one dates and dates with all four of us together. We all hope that you'll start by coming to the clubhouse this weekend for your dad's birthday party." Storm said.

I sat there thinking about what they said for a few minutes before I finally answered them. "I've always had a crush on all of you. Especially after I got older. It started when I turned fourteen. It was just a small crush on you guys at first, and as I got older, the crush grew. And then you crushed my heart that day we went to the diner Midnight. After that, I still had a crush on the other two, and honestly, you as well. But I was pissed off because you said that you couldn't be around me because of her. Because she didn't want you around me anymore. You had been my best friend for years. So it hurt like hell, and that's why I stayed away from the clubhouse. I still saw everyone when they came to the shop or to Dad and Mom's house. But I stayed away so that I wouldn't cause any trouble with you and your girlfriend. I don't know about us all dating. That's something that I'll need to think about. Can I give you an answer when I come for Dad's party this weekend? I have a test tomorrow that I need to study for, and this is a lot to think about. I honestly don't know why you would want to be with me, either. I mean, look at me."

"Take all of the time that you need, baby. I know that what I did was f****d up and wrong. I never should have done it. If you need longer than this weekend to give us an answer, then take all of the time that you need. We'll be here waiting for you whenever you are ready. And what do you mean, look at you? We are looking at you, your f*****g gorgeous baby." Midnight said. The other guys agreed with him.

"I'm not skinny like your girlfriend was. I'm a bigger girl and I'm short. I talk to ghosts and have powers. I'm not a normal, skinny, pretty girl," I told them. "Baby, you're f*****g perfect to all of us. So what you're not stick thin, that just means that we have more to hold on to as we pound into you. And we don't mind the whole talking to ghosts and having powers thing. It's kind of f*****g cool, to be honest." Storm told me.

"And you're not f*****g short, your snack size and I love me some f*****g snacks. You're one that I could eat every day for the rest of my life, baby. My very own snacky little witch. Soft on the outside and juicy on the inside, mmm," Reaper said, with a smirk on his face.

Midnight shook his head at him as he said, "Baby, you are not a mere pretty girl. You are f*****g gorgeous. The sexiest woman that I have ever seen, honestly. And I love everything about you, we all do. Yeah, we know the younger you and not the adult you. But I know that we will all love her as well. You're our sexy lil momma, and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives with you."

After that, we continued to sit around and talk for a couple of hours before I took them back to Pap's house. Before we left, we traded numbers so that they'd have mine. While I have internet at my house, I don't have a phone. I use a booster for the internet so that it will come in. But a phone out here won't work. I make video calls on Messenger when I need to. But since Pap and Nanna don't have it, they call me on the CB.

Once we traded numbers and made sure that they could call me on Messenger, we headed to my boat. I locked the house up and headed to the dock. We got on board the boat, and after untying the boat, I started it and backed up. It didn't take me long at all to drop the guys back off at Pap's house.

After they all gave me a hug, they got off the boat and walked down the dock. I backed up, blew my horn, and headed back home. When I made it back to the house, I got the boat tied to the dock and situated. Then I headed into the house. Before I settled in for the night, I put food out for Ragnar and Mystic.

I took the stuff that I picked up for the gym out there and put it away. And then I settled down in my office to study for my test tomorrow and get schoolwork done. Once it was all finished, I wrote for an hour before heading to bed. My newest book in the series would be coming out soon, and I had to finish the last few chapters of it.

Tomorrow, after I get my test done, I would finish working on it. By the end of the day, it would be done, and I'd be working on edits. I wanted to have it all done soon so that I could get started on designing the merchandise that I would be selling with the book boxes. I had so many ideas that I'd been working on, and I couldn't wait to get started on them.

But first, I had studying to do and a test to take tomorrow. Other than finishing the last few chapters, I also had some thinking to do. I needed to decide what to do about the guys. Do I want to give them a chance, or do I want to protect my heart? I honestly don't understand why they would want someone like me when they could have someone skinnier and prettier than me. Would I give them a chance, or would I let my insecurities get the best of me?
