Becca's New Neighbor
Sweat made my long dark hair cling to my face as my body arched with need and pleasure. "Moooore..." I hear myself moan pleadingly. The dark chuckle from between my legs make me purr with excitement. I glance down at him. His Ash blonde curls swaying as his head bobs and loud lewd noises are all I hear as he sucks at me loud, licking my c**t while he f***s me with his fingers. His sharp green eyes open and lock with mine. Those eyes... Piercing and haunting... *BEEP BEEP BEEP* I sigh heavily and slap the alarm clock a few times before I hit the correct button to shut it up. My breathing is heavy and I'm totally soaked in sweat in reality. These dreams are getting out of control, like I'm some horny love sick teenager instead of a 28 year old rookie detective with no love interests whatsoever. Becca Blaze. The girl with the coolest name and definitely the uncoolest track record with men. I move to the closet, prying the oversized shirt from my skin and throwing on a sports bra and leggings. I throw my hair into a high pony as I make my way into my tiny bathroom. I quickly brush my teeth while staring at myself. My blank blue eyes stare back at myself in the mirrors reflection. I should have been up an hour earlier to get in a longer run. I'm always so hard on myself, for no good reason really. I throw in my ear buds, tuck my phone into the hidden pocket on my leggings and head out. I run down my front path, and head down the road that leads to my little house at the end of a cul-de-sac. I wave at the little old man who sits on his porch religiously every morning smiling slightly as I look his way. What was his name again? Mr... Jacobs... Jackson... Jacobson! My momentary distraction leaves me whirling to face ahead of me as I see something moving in my peripheral. I stop suddenly as a deep brown SUV slams on their brakes. Anger wells in me. This i***t literally could have killed me! I take out an ear bud and the extremely dark tinted window starts to roll down. "What the hell..." I stop mid-rant and his head turns and the most familiar bright green eyes turn my way. The man's low, gravely voice instantly puts my body on high alert, warmth spreading over me like a wildfire. "Sorry sweetheart I didn't see you right away." I bristled and told myself... Again... That I was an adult. An adult damn it. And this Greek God of a man almost hit me. I scoffed "Maybe your tints too dark sweetheart. Try not to almost kill anyone else today". I replaced my earbud and skirted around the front of the SUV to continue running. I saw that Mr. Green as I named him in my head, had the audacity to laugh which only ruffled my feathers even more. I made it through the rest of my run without any more near death experiences, and took a long cold shower on my return home. I hadn't known anyone had moved into the vacant house on the street. The house was easily five times the size of mine and had been hauntingly empty after the builder couldn't sell for what they had put into the build. I head for the kitchen, getting some coffee and powering up my laptop. I looked at the public records to nosily find out who Mr. Green really was. The house was... Purchased by Stone Investments? That's easily one of the biggest names in holding companies right now. I shut the laptop and shrugged. Probably bought it for one of their high powered CEOs who's larger than life personality makes up for other small... Bodily endowments. I had a rare day off. After my first whole year of being a detective specializing in special victims, I could count my days off on my fingers. My cell phone buzzed on the counter where I had left it before taking my shower. I sighed then typed a reply. Ain't no rest for the wicked. And I have someone wicked to catch it seems. The chief needs me in on a new case and as the newest member of the team, I never say no. I quickly change and head for the garage to my 10 year old pickup truck. She's not the newest but she's powerful, and belonged to my dad who passed last year. I drive to the scene on autopilot. Martinez is there, smoking a cigarette and writing notes on his phone. "Blaze, trust me when I say you can skip going over there. Ain't nothing good to see. Seems like we got a real nasty guy out there somewhere" I get all the details from Martinez, help catalogue some items and head to the station to start reports and wait on forensics. It's dark when I leave the building. I drive home with my music at full blast, singing to every song that plays on my alternative playlist. This is how I decompress after particularly hard days. I pull into my driveway and head for the door. There's something on my placemat... It's a bottle of wine and a note. I pick up the bottle, an entirely too expensive brand with an equally expensive looking paper attached. Scrawled on the inside is a hand written note. After the day I've had I don't know wether throw the bottle or laugh until I cry. "Come by for dinner tonight. Less dangerous over a stove than in a car. - Sweetheart" I jam my keys into the dead bolt and fall into the house. I drop everything on the closest flat surface and sink to the couch, completely spent mentally... Physically... Emotionally. I must have dozed of, but I woke with a start from a steady knocking. Groggily I get up and head for the door. I crack it open and frown. Mr. Greens devilish smile make the heat pour over my body "Did you not like my apology wine?" I scoffed. "There was no apology on that note". His eyes twinkled and his grin deepened "Thats because I believe in in-person apologies. Come have dinner with me, I'd love to get to know my new neighbor". I c****d my head to the side. "That wasn't an apology either". The tall, incredibly handsome man leaned in to tower over me. His low voice went even lower as he barely spoke above a whisper. "I can promise you I can absolutely make you forget you're mad at me". My stomach flip flopped and I must have looked like a fish out of water. He chuckled at me, low, which didn't help my sudden onset of muteness. "Come on sweetheart, lemme feed you a meal. I'll only apologize after you're at my table with a plate In front of you". I found my ice queen go-to facade and rolled my eyes at him. But I still grabbed my phone and keys and followed him down my front path...
