I asked Lily and Joey if they wanted to go get something to drink from the cafeteria while we waited. Joey agreed saying it would be nice to move around a bit while we waited and Lily just nodded in agreement. I let the rest of the family know we would be back with drinks when we returned. We walked in silence to the cafeteria, I didn’t even know what to say to them because I couldn’t imagine losing someone I was close to. “I am sure the doctors will do everything they can to help Timothy. He is strong and he is a fighter, so we just need to keep thinking positively that he will pull through this.”
“Thank you Josie, you're right he is a fighter and I will keep thinking that. I just can’t help being scared that someday I know this day will come and how I will be able to handle it.”
