The Party

POV: Minreila 

"I Regret everything take me home?" I plead 

"No way, you said you would say that and not to let you go home, do you want me to carry you?" Mr.Rynold said chuckling 

"He is right and we are already here, I wonder if they can hear our disdain?" 

"I hope not now as your big brother both of you knock it off! I finally got you in somewhat nice clothes!" Jackson's face is red with anger or embarrassment we aren't every sure.

let's behave somewhat tonight

Yes I think that would be the best sister

I can see your smirk, Mr Rynold and Jackson look nervous 

I think it is your smirk that has them truly worried sister

The backyard is beautiful with tiny lights strung everywhere leading up to the packhouse deck. The deck was outfitted like a stage of some sort, making the twins nervous they would have to go up there. Tables of food, and seating were enough for well over 400 crammed into the yard. Still to the astonishment of the twins a roomy makeshift dance floor was still in the middle. Huge speakers were everywhere. 

POV: Alpha Oliver 

"Welcome honored guests please join me on stage" Wow these kids are not wearing shoes again. Their brother is dressed like a noble in a crisp suit that is a deep purple, odd color. Minreila is in a thin sundress with bright blue spiral designs. It comes down just past her knees, and ties like a swimsuit around her neck. Nobles should not wear such thin clothes the length is okay I suppose it's better than her shorts. Minrowen has pants and a t-shirt dress shirt on with green spiral patterns. They match nicely, I wish he had on a tie at least. However, I think this is the best that we are going to get. 

Look alpha they are half decent! Kevin's giggles ring through my whole pack's mind link which seems to ease their tension as now they are smiling at the twins. 

"Do we have to?" Minreila asked me

"Of course you are our honored guests!" Are they really shy? Just two years ago they stood in front of the council with no issues. Slowly the twins, Jackson, and Mr. Renyold come onto the stage. 

"Please introduce yourself to my pack" I pass him a microphone

" My Name is Minrowen I am the Alpha of the Fae Wolf Pack" As if it burns him he passes it to Mr. Reynold

"I am the butler, and a temporary beta of Fae Wolf Pack"

"I'm Jackson, Son of the Duke of Lern, the Twins' older brother. It is a pleasure to be invited here today" 

"My name is Minreila, I am the Alpha of Fae Wolf Pack, and this is Suflare she is our Faerie friend, say hello?" Just then a very pretty, but non-bonded, faerie pokes her head out from Minreilas hair with a yawn. 

"Hello, I am Suflare, call me Flare, I am not going to eat you or whatever it is your kind thinks my kind does. It is a pleasure to be here tonight" Minreila then passes me back the mic. 

"Welcome all, and of course we don't think you'll cause trouble Miss Flare, at least not on purpose" I tried to ease my pack's tension with a bit of a joke, I have never been good at jokes. Minreila looked like she was hiding behind me while Mr.Renyold was rubbing Minrowen back. 

"Shall we begin the party and mingle? I'm sure the Fae Pack Alphas understand our thank you" I hand off the mic, "Minreila are you okay why are you hiding?"Before I got an answer through the speakers had some backfeed making Minrowen and Minreila scream. Minreila was in my arms, and Minrowen in Mr.Renyolds before the feedback even stopped. My pack stood silent only the twins' soft cries could be heard. 

" I'm sorry their ears are really sensitive to loud noises especially high-pitched ones, Come here Reil" Minreila would not budge, then I noticed why her ears were bleeding. 

"MEDIC NOW" I screamed the winced when Minreila and Minrowen flinched I rubbed her back while my healer Laura looked in her ears, again the whole pack was quiet even the pups. 

"She and her brother's ear drums are ruptured it'll take days to heal, Alpha" Laura said while putting away her instruments. 

"No, it won't they are fine now I'm sorry for latching on to you Alpha Oliver" 

"No way! Let me see!" Laura looked in her ears again, "They healed?" 

"Can we start the party now?" Minrowen pipped up seeming to also have healed.

"Of course" 

And with that, they left to mingle with the pack, and music was now playing softly. 

"Alpha how?" 

" I do not know Laura, we must have missed something, I have a feeling I am not going to get Mr. Renyold?" 

"Alpha with all due respect, they save our pack from a pandemic at 12 years old, no causalities did you really have hope still that their pack wouldn't cut it by the time they are 16?" 

"Laura you are right, as always dismissed dear" 

"Alpha, I have blood samples from the twins, can I analyze them?"

"Yes please do, and tell no one of your results"

POV: Third person

Laura left and headed straight to her lab. She worked all night long after the Alpha went to bed her results startled even her. 

While Laura was in her lab the Alpha watched the Twins play with the pups of his pack including his sons. His sons seemed to be growing very close to the twins. The twins would also great any adult that came up to them and even entertains any pack-related questions. However, their answers were vague enough that no one really got a good grasp of what was happening in their pack. This was a very strong tactic while dealing with social event questions, which is hard to master. Alpha Oliver grew more impressed with the twins as the night went on. By 2 am the twins were the only children left wake alongside the Alphas sons. Jackson had long since gone home, picked up by the Duke's car. Alpha Oliver helped Mr. Renyold Carry the twins to the car to drive them home. 

POV: Alpha Oliver

"The twins are bucked in, they sure stayed up late" 

"Yes Alpha Oliver they did, I am impressed" 

"You're never going to be in my pack are you, why did you pick them over me?"

"Feeling jealous Alpha Oliver?"

"Of course I am" I couldn't help laughing

"I picked them because they have the same look of my previous Alpha in their eyes you do not" 

"What's this look like?" 

"The look of someone who has not only fought death but won, It interested me I want to understand how children can have this look" 

"I see I too find they have that look, they were kidn*pped at 8 years old" 

"I know but I feel such power in their eyes don't you?"

" I don't know"
