Chapter 3

In Dominic's car...

Dominic looked at his hand, then squinted his brows, but he immediately relaxed them "It's just a cufflink, nothing to worry about"

Annabel jumped and shouted "Just a cufflink? That's your family heirloom, Dominic!"

The car suddenly screeched to a halt jerking Annabel who wasn't sitting properly and she hit her head "Watch how you're driving!" She scolded

"What did you just say?" Dominic asked gently scrutinizing her with his gaze. Annabel adjusted herself and said "Don't think I do not know. I have multiple eyes on you, so why won't I know something simple as you hiding your family heirloom in your cufflink. Also, it is the key to holding your family's wealth. Losing it is losing your position in your family"

"Who else knows about this?" Dominic asked "Don't worry, no one else knows. As your fiancee to be, I have to keep this secret for you. So, you should know to treat me well as I hold a huge secret of yours"

Dominic looked away, then continued driving "You're not going to look for your cufflink?" Annabel asked "It's not your business" Dominic said not looking at her "Hey! I'm your fiancee. How is it not my business?"...

Ravenna's Office

In the previous dark room which is now lit. Ravenna sat on her rocking chair looking down at Kael and an old man in his sixties wearing white clothes. After staring for a while, Ravenna rested her back on the chair and said "The smoke of your grudge fills this place. The person you had a grudge with must have been the one who infuriated you to your death" She laughed "By the way, before I bring out a scroll to record our deal. Are you sure you want to make this deal with me?" The old man nodded and said "Yes "

Ravenna sighed and said "Although, you're not necessarily a good person. You could still be reincarnated as an animal or an insect if you do not make a deal with me. Or is it because you do not want to be any of that, that you have decided to make this deal?" The old man looked confused "What do you mean?"

Ravenna chuckled "What do I mean? Looks like you did not inquire a lot before coming here. You were not informed about the consequences of making a deal here"

Ravenna stood up and said "As I am good willed , I will tell you" she walked to the old man with hand hand folded at her back and said "Since you are a ghost, after making a deal with me, you will lose your chance of being reincarnated again and your soul will dissipate after burning for ten years"

The old man blinked uncontrollably

"Of course, you also have to pay with a worldly possession of yours. If the job could not be completed within a certain period of time, the worldly possession would be returned. But of course, there is no job that I, the bewitcher, haven't been able to complete"

"Will my soul also not burn or dissipate if the job is not complete?" The old man asked as Ravenna chuckled and said "As long as your name is on one of my scrolls. Your soul will burn and dissipate after ten years. Are you still willing?"

The old man's eyes shifted, but then he made up his mind "Yes! It is worth it after all" Ravenna smiled and and stretched out her hand as a scroll appeared on it. She opened it and demanded "Now, give me your name" "Aston Park" "Now, give me the name of the receiver of your grudge" The old man went mute for a while, but then his face showed determination and he called out "Dominic Williams!!"

"Achooo!!" Dominic sneezed while doing the dishes in his house "Oh! I see. Someone must be talking about you" Another guy who was sitting on the sofa watching TV and munching popcorn said.

"Don't go on about your superstitious belief here" Dominic said continuing with the dishes. The guy knelt on the sofa, turning to face Dominic "It's true, why sneeze out of the blue if no one is talking about you? Come on , you're the religious one here. You should know about these"

Dominic faced him and said "I serve the Lord, Jesus Christ and not some superstitious beliefs" The guy scoffed and said "The people I know who serve the Lord Jesus Christ all have a smiling face. I haven't seen one like you who talk with no emotion and behave like a robot" he continued watching the TV. Dominic thought for a while , then said "I know it's late, but when are you going home?"

The guy sniffed and said "Let me just stay here for tonight and sort out my thoughts. I am heartbroken as of the moment"

"What happened?" Dominic asked ...
