Chapter 5

Dominic exhaled, found a place to park his car as he got out and went to open the back seat door, then pulled out the lady inside and said "Annabel, haven't I told you to stop following me?"

The lady looked up at him and he realised it wasn't Annabel, but then remembered she was the lady he had bumped into the previous day. "Annabel? Who's that?" Ravenna asked. Dominic thought for a while, then asked "Are you a stalker?"

Ravenna was dumfounded, then she pointed at herself "Me? A stalker?" "Yes, have you been following me ever since you bumped into me yesterday?" Dominic asked "Huh?" Ravenna sounded but then realized he was the man she had bumped into the previous day "Oh! It's you..."

"Are you now trying to pretend to not recognize me and wave your way through being a stalker?" Dominic asked "Hey!! In what way do I look like a stalker?" Ravenna countered "Otherwise?... Can you explain what you were doing in my car"

"I ... I was... Wait, you're asking what I am doing in your car and not how I got into your car? Come to think of it, your car was always locked when you're not with it and you would know if someone tries to enter when you're with it" Ravenna said trying to make Dominic realize the kind of person she is, but Dominic said...

"I don't know... You might be an expert in entering locked doors"

Ravenna scoffed and said "I don't know... Should I thank you for using that compliment? Or hit you for belittling a whole me? Tell me, why would I stalk you?"

"Not sure... Hmm ... You found me handsome?" Dominic said as Ravenna opened her mouth and stared at the emotionless looking guy for a moment before chuckling and saying "Are you not ashamed?... Of saying this with a straight face?"

"Should I be ashamed of being handsome or be ashamed of declaring myself handsome" Dominic asked. Ravenna looked away, scoffed, looked at Dominic with an open mouth, looked away and scoffed again "Aargh! I'm pissed... I'm frustrated... I'm angry" "Anger is not good for the health... You need to calm your emotions" Dominic said "Dominic! Oh Dominic! You have a knack for pissing people off. No wonder why the smoke of the old man's grudge filled the room. He must have been frustrated to death by you. Even right now, I feel like my head is about to bring out fumes of smoke" Ravenna said demonstrating a wave of smoke with her hand

Dominic didn't understand what she was saying but he asked "Didn't you say you weren't a stalker? How did you know my name?"

"No way, no way. I can't bear to have any more conversation with you" Ravenna said and walked away. Dominic stared at her back, then said "Be careful on your way back, it's late at night"

Ravenna shivered and increased her pace ...

Ravenna appeared on her seat in the office and quickly sipped out of the water in the cup which appeared on her hand to cool herself down "How did he see me?" She thought "Did I mistakenly appear to him? No way! I'm in charge of my powers, I would know if I were to become visible. So, how did he see me?"

Then, Kael appeared and asked "My lady, has the job been done?" "No, it's me who was done" Ravenna sighed, then continued "Looks like the old man knew the job would be tough. That was why he was willing to part with these golden treasures instead of giving them to his offsprings" Ravenna then told Kael all what happened.

Kael smiled and said "Miss, maybe you're also losing control of your powers. How about you seal some of your powers, be as fat as me, then practice some cultivation methods" He laughed, but Ravenna's glare shut him up. Feeling the blazing glare, he quickly found an excuse to leave "I have some works to attend to. If that is all, miss. I will take my leave." He disappeared. Ravenna's gaze cooled down a little, then she stood up and slammed her hand on the table "No matter how tough the job is. Those golden treasures are mine..."

The next day, Dominic was seen working in his office, reviewing some files when his assistant walked in with some other files and said "Sir, you have some files to review and sign. Shall I leave them here on the table?" Dominic looked up and said "How about you go drop them in my car. I'll review them at home. I'll be leaving for church in few minutes"

"Alright sir" The assistant said and walked out. Mentioning the word 'car' , Dominic remembered what happened the previous evening and pondered on it

... Flashback ...

... Dominic went to open the back seat door, then pulled out the lady inside and said "Annabel, haven't I told you to stop following me?" The lady looked up at him and he realized it wasn't Annabel, but then remembered she was the lady he had bumped into at the shopping mall ...

... End of flashback ...

Dominic sighed and said "Such a weird person" He continued working ...
