  SUZAN'S POV   By the time Julian and I got home, I was completely drained—emotionally, mentally, physically. Even forcing a fake smile felt impossible.   "Okay, baby. Go to your room. If you need anything, you know where to find me," I murmured, my voice weaker than I wanted it to be.   Julian nodded but hesitated for a moment before walking off.
