  ANTHONY'S POV   If there's one thing I never look forward to doing in this life, it's paying my mother a visit. Don't get me wrong, I love her and all, but she's not one of the nicest people on earth.   "Good afternoon, sir," the maid greeted me as I walked into the living room. I nodded at her and made my way to the back door.   My mother was seated at the lounge by the pool, sipping from her glass of whatever it was. She looked gracious with her straight black hair and her perfectly manicured nails around the glass.   She looked up to see me and a sweet smile formed on her lips—it was too sweet, too fake.
