Chapter 5

Harry sat on the edge of my bed as I grabbed some new clothes. I walked into the bathroom and quickly changed into fitted jeans and a tank top. I walked into the room. Harry sat up when I sat on the bed. "What do you think we should do?"      "Do more exploring of the mansion. I am not going back to the library after experiencing that." I said.     "How is it you don't have any friends?" Harry asked, changing the subject. I raised a brow.     "I did have friends for a while. When I was in middle school I ended up getting into an accident with some friends of mine. Two of them ended up getting seriously injured. The other one, who was like a brother to me, ended up going into a coma. It was hard seeing him that way. He ended up dying and I was there. My friends decided I was no longer worth their time and that I am a danger to them. They spread rumors that anyone would get hurt if they got close to me." I explained.     "What happened, if you don't mind my asking?" I would have thought my siblings would've told their friends.     "We were in the woods. All of us had a thing for dark and mysterious. We found a cave that had a keep out sign. One thing led to another, we encountered something bad and we all ended up getting hurt. Other than my friend who was in a coma, I was in the hospital the longest. I cut up and covered in bruises. I even had some bite marks. My guess was that we faced a demon of some sort. I had nightmares for weeks."     "Sounds like a nightmare just hearing about it." Harry said. I nodded. "It doesn't bother you anymore?"     "Not at all." I answered. "My parents are ashamed to look at me most days. I fallen into a deep depression that lasted a year. If it wasn't for Bella and Jackson, I wouldn't have made it through. They gave me hope. I have cuts from that time." Harry cringed. I smiled sadly. "I saw yours yesterday at the café." He flinched. "I'm not going to say I pity you, because no one wants to hear that."     "My parents...they are drug addicts and abusive. I don't know what love really is. All my friends are in relationships. I feel like the outcast a lot. I saw you around school a few times. I stopped the bullies from hurting you last month." He said.     "That's how I recognize you." I exclaimed. "You ran off before I could thank you!" Harry rolled his eyes.     "It's not that big of a deal." He muttered.     "Sure it is. I go home with a new bruise or cut everyday because of them. Not even Bella and Jackson know about it." I said. He looked at me in surprise. "Yeah, I know."     A knock came at the door. "You two still alive?" Bella asked as she walked in with the others. "What happened to your dress?"     "I decided to change." I answered. "Got bored hiking?"     "Nah. We found something in the woods and thought it would be fun to do." Jackson answered. Emit held up an Ouija board.     "Get that out of here!" I hissed. Emit's eyes widen as he hid the board from my sight. "I can't believe you guys would even think that would be fun! That's asking for trouble. I refuse to get involved with that. Bella, Jackson, I am highly disappointed. You know what that stuff does to you!"     "James, those are just stories. Come on, it will be fun. Halloween is tomorrow. We are supposed to be having fun this weekend." Bella whined. "Come on. We are going to start a fire in the family living room. We are going to roast marshmallows and drink some. It will be fun."     "Might as well, James. They won't leave us alone until we do." Harry said annoyed.      "Fine, but if something bad happens, I will punch the both of you." I warned them. Bella rolled her eyes and Jackson snickered. I grabbed my jacket and followed them down stairs. Harry reluctantly followed.     Harry and I sat on one of the couches as the others gathered on the floor around the board. Harry was glaring at the other, not happy with where things are going. "I don't have a good feeling about this." Harry said. I nodded in agreement.     "Does this have any rules?" Bella asked.     "Keep your fingers on the pointer. That's the only thing I know." Jackson answered.     "Who cares about rules?" Livy said. "Let's get started."     Nothing happened for the first thirty minutes. They weren't ready to give up though. Harry had taken to reading one of the books I brought with me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shadow move. I looked up, but no one was there. I looked at Harry, but he remained focused on the book. I looked back at the area where I saw the shadow. After watching the corner for a while, I went back to reading.          A moment later, Bella let out a gasp. "It's moving, it's moving!" Bella whispered. "How many ghost are with us?" I looked at Harry, who now has the book closed. He looked at me, not happy that they are getting a response. I closed my book and set it off to the side.     "Oh my god. Over hundred. Are one of you guys moving it?" Emit questioned. All gave a negative response. "Alright. Who are we talking to?"     "Z-O-Z-O. It keeps going back to those letters." Livy said in confusion. I quickly got up from my seat. I grabbed the board and snapped it in half over my knee. I then threw it into the fire, followed by the pointer. "What the hell?"     "I hope you guys are happy. That...that thing is one of the most dangerous demons! You are lucky you aren't dead right now!" I hissed angerly.
