Chapter 15

I ran through the tunnels, not stopping as my body began to throb with pain. The stench of blood and dirt flooded my senses. I couldn't get the image of Harry sinking into the ground as I ran away from him. None of this made sense, but I didn't stop to think about it. My life is on the line and I have no plans to become a demons bride.     I slipped and fell forward. The blood soaked through my pants and shirt, leaving me with the feeling of dirtiness. I gagged as I felt the blood stick to my skin. I stood up, only to fall back down due to the pain overriding me. "Got to keep going...ow."          I turned onto my back. My heart dropped to my stomach as two people stood over me. I can't make out their faces and can barely see the outline of their forms. "f**k my life." I muttered as one hit me with a hard object. I blacked out as one picked me up.     I groaned as I came to. My head hurt like a b***h and everything felt very uncomfortable. Something touched my cheek. It is soft, but isn't welcomed. I blinked a few times, trying to get my eyes to focus on what's in front of me. "It's nice to see that you are finally awake." A woman said lightly. A wet cloth was dabbed across my forehead. "We can't have you looking like a mess for our lord when you marry him."     "Bloody hell." I muttered. "I am so not made for this shit."     "Language child." I looked up at the woman. She smiled like a mother would her daughter.      "I hope you die a painful death. Honestly, some cults just shouldn't exist." I snarled. She only chuckled.      "You are a feisty one. My lord will enjoy you, even if it's by human flesh." She said happily. "Now, we must get you into the wedding dress."     "Funny. You ain't getting me into that." I snapped. "That is way too see through. Also, I'd commit suicide before I end up marrying a demon bastard. No way!"     "I'm afraid you have bi choice in this matter." She said calmly.     Ten minutes later and I was forced into the dress by her and two other woman, who gained a black eye on one and on the other a bloody nose. I snickered when they walked out, grumbling in pain. "You are a brat."     "The fact that you thought I'd be willing to marry your master shows that you are stupid." I insulted her, but she made no reaction towards it. "Man, you people are crazy! Insane! I can think of so many insults right now and continue for the rest of the night. I am not going to marry a demon, more so since I am fourteen. FOUR-f*****g-TEEN!" She giggled. "I rest my case."     "Come along, dear. The ritual and wedding is about to begin." She said. She stood up and looked at me expectantly. I glared at her. She rolled her eyes and called for two others to assist me in walking out. I punched one and bit the other, making sure that the both of them were bleeding.     "I don't live to make people's lives easier." I hissed angerly. The one I punched, roughly grabbed my shoulder and forced me to walk outside. There, around a large fire, stood about a hundred people. I then spotted my supposedly dead brother and sister, with their friends standing behind them. Standing by the fire is Harry, who is struggling to get out of the grasp of two men. He paused when he spotted me.     "James? Are you okay?" He asked worriedly.     "I've been better. You know, betrayed by my family, several broken bones, and being forced to marry a demon against my will. I have totally have had better days. How are you?" I asked sarcastically.     "Ready to commit murder." He responded.     "I will join you on that one." I declared. "On a brighter note, my plan is working." Harry glared at me while some of the cult idiots looked at me in confusion.     "Please tell me you have a plan. I'd rather not have a demon take over my body." Harry whined.     "You forget something, but I will let you remember that." I said. He looked at me in confusion, then his eyes widen in realization. I put my finger to my lips to keep quiet about it.     "We're going to die." He groaned.     "Do shut up, we aren't going to die. We are going to make it out of here!" I whispered sharply. He let out a huff. "Would it be weird if I wrote a book based on this when we make it out alive?"     "That would be very weird. There is nothing here that people want to know. What if someone found out that it is real and they try to come to this bloody place? They will end up dead!" Harry exclaimed.     "Who said this place is going to exist by morning light." I grumbled.     "That makes no sense." Harry whined.     "Have my siblings ever told about why it isn't safe for me to play with fire?" I asked. He eyed me wearily. "Oh boy, you are going to be learning a lot of interesting things about me when we make it out of here."     "Sure, meanwhile, they've started the ritual to make the demon come from hell and we are doomed." Harry snapped.     "He can't touch you or me, remember?" I pointed out.     "Yeah, yeah, yeah, holy water and all that wonderful stuff." Harry grumbled. I narrowed my eyes at him, annoyance coursing through my system. He smiled sheepishly at me. "Sorry, sorry."     "Yeah, sure. Just follow my lead." I told him.     The group of people began to chant louder and make weird motions with their bodies. The men holding Harry let him go as they joined in the chanting. Harry walked closer to me, looking very uncomfortable. "By the way, Jamie, that dress is way too old fashion and does not suit you."      "Harry, I think as long as I look like a bride in their eyes, it's fine. This dress is so uncomfortable though." I laughed as he rolled his eyes. "Oh s**t, oh s**t, oh sit, what the f**k is going on with the fire!" I asked worriedly.     "It's growing. That is not normal." Harry grabbed my arm as we backed away from the fire. The fire went a blood red before a growl rumbled through the woods. "The demon is coming from the fire. That is cool and creepy at the same time." The fire grew and expanded before exploding.
