Chapter 13

I mentally groaned in pain as my ribs throbbed. "Are you sure you want to continue to walk. You are injured." Emit said.     "If you want to die, be my guest. I don't really care much for you anyways."     "Heartless." He snapped.      "I'm not the heartless one here. Who knew about what would happen here tonight. Not me. Not Harry, only you, Livy, and Kiley, along with the others who are now dead. At least, I'm pretty sure Jackson doesn't know, but I could be wrong for everyone else acted like they didn't know, but did. Hell, Bella could be alive right now and we wouldn't know. After all, we didn't see her die. You guys can stand and and wait for whatever happens next. As far as I know, you're only here to keep an eyes on me."     "James has a point guys. I mean you guys were acting strange while planning this trip when Jackson and Bella told you about the mansion. Perhaps you guys know a lot more about what is going than what we do. Why don't you guys tell us the truth before we decided to ditch you to find your own way out." Harry crossed his arms and glared at the three in front of us.      Emit, Kiley and Livy glared at us. Kiley rolled her eyes. "You act like you are so important."' She snarled.     "Apparently I am if the cult wants me. Why don't you three do some explaining before I decide to kill you myself, and trust me, you know I will."  I warned them.     Kiley shared a look with Livy, who then turned to look at Emit. Emit gave a long, annoyed sigh. "Fine, fine, I'll talk!" He waved his hands around in annoyance. "We all knew about. Bella was told by her parents who told Jackson. Jackson was against it at first, but was quickly convinced that it would be better for everyone else. They brought us in on it due to our families connection with each other."     "Okay, but why was I left out and what is the ceremony even for?" Harry questioned.     "We left you out because we knew you were a big Christian with the way you were raised. Also, the ceremony involves two people, not one. See, you saw the ghost of some of the cults. They didn't want you to dig too deep into the history. Some of the books you read weren't even real facts. "Kiley explained. "The ritual involves a boy and a girl. The girl is to be the bride of the demon ZOZO." I gagged at that fact.          "That makes no sense." Harry said. "Why would a demon need a bride?"    "I'm more concerned with the fact that a male needs to be involved. I am only fourteen and I have no interest in marriage until I'm at least twenty-five." I growled.     "The bride needs to be young to give good heirs to our demon lord. The boy, of course, is so our lord can inhabit the body of a male. You see, Harry, your family and James's family had a contract many years ago when you guys first came to the country. The contract was never fulfilled. No one knows what the contract was until three years ago. A marriage contract. Funny isn't it. Your families were so close, that promised each other a rather strong alliance. That is why Harry is needed. You two are destined for each other, but James has a strong connection to the after life, which makes her a good bride for a demon lord." Livy said.     "I suddenly have the urge to kill myself." Harry said.     "Let's keep walking. I prefer to stay away from these freaks. I regret wanting to know more about the ritual." I declared. "Marrying a demon? Crazy freaks." I then paused in my walking and felt horror rush through my body as their words hit me. "OH MY GOD! DEMONS ARE f****d UP. THE RITUAL INVOLVES s*x!" Harry's eyes widen and horror rushed into his eyes.     "That is wrong on so many levels!" He nearly shouted. Let's hurry and get away. You three can stay here if you want. I don't want to be around you guys any longer!" Harry snarled.     "Hear, hear!" I agreed. "I think we should just kill them."     "We can do that if they follow us." Harry grabbed my arm and pulled me away from them. He took the gun after I went towards it. He gave me a look and I just grinned. "Why must you act so innocent when we both know you're not."     "I'm innocent in one way but not the other." I snickered when he let out a groan. "Oh, we are going to be the best of friends, don't you agree, Harry?"      "Why do I feel like that when we get out of here, our lives are going to be so mixed in with each other and we won't know what they hell is going on until the last minute?" Harry muttered. "Definitely will be changing my name when we leave this place. We will be moving out of the country and just live the rest of our lives doing only god knows what."     "Life is just going to be a blast for us." I declared childishly.     "You two can't seriously think walking these woods alone is smart!" Livy shouted.     "Like we have a choice." Harry shouted back.      "You both are going to get caught! There is no stopping this!" Kiley shouted.      "We may not be able to stop it right away, but it won't go through. There is no way I am giving my life up to be a bloody bride to one of the most evil demons that exist!" I declared.         "I am in agreement with you on that. I refuse to give my body up for a damn demon to take over! Anyways, how will that work since we drank holy water? I am pretty sure it will hurt the demon, but if this demon is so powerful, what will happen?"      "I guess we are going to have to find out." I answered.
