CHAPTER 3

HACK INTO KBS INDUSTRIES AND I WILL MARRY YOU Everyone was already dressed as they drove to the wedding hall with Mina. She kept fidgeting with her fingers until the car stopped in front of the wedding hall. Throughout the ride, Rosa was sitting beside Mina. She had a deep scowl on her face as she glared daggers at Mina. “ Be a good girl and do a nice job,” Rosa whispered into Mina’s ear. “ I won't let this wedding be held. I will make sure I call it off” Mina replied while Rosa chuckled. “ Says who? Sorry, dear sister, but there's no way you can call off the wedding when you will be married in just an hour from now” Rosa said, but Mina wasn't moved by her words. Getting down from the car, Mina was led to a small room inside the wedding hall, which has a corridor where you can see the buzzing afternoon view of New York City. “ Stay inside this room and don't you dare come out except when it's time for you to walk down the aisle” Rosa warned sternly. “ Why would you lock me up, Rosa?” Mina asked angrily. “ Who knows? You might rat your mouth out to Grandfather and because he loves and cares about you, he might call off the wedding and all mine and Jace’s hard work would be in vain” Rosa smiled creepily and pushed Mina into the room. Because of how roughly Rosa pushed Mina, she fell to the ground with her wedding dress and hurt her knee in the process. She didn't know when tears fell out of her eyes. Why was her life this pathetic? Mina began to reminisce about all the vows Jace promised her and how much he loved her. So all of that was a big fat lie? She just couldn't wonder how he deceived her to fall for him and went behind her to sleep with her elder sister. Mina stood up from the ground and dusted her wedding dress. The room felt suffocating to her that all she wanted to do, at that moment, was run. She wanted to run far away from everything, her wedding, her family and Jace. Standing on her feet, she saw the door leading to the corridor, where one could see the afternoon view of New York City. Mina walked to the door and pushed it open. Stepping out of the room, a cool breeze hit her skin, making her exhale in relief. It felt as if the breeze was waiting for her to get out of the room before it came to welcome her. Mina held the rail as she looked outside the city. What she wasn't aware of was that someone was making a call, his back facing her. She was so engrossed in watching the city that she didn't know that someone was with her in the corridor. The stranger in the corridor has a broad back like that of an athlete. He was putting on a tuxedo suit and black pants with expensive black leather shoes. He exuded an aura of sophistication and charisma that Mina couldn't take her eyes off him even for a second. “ Why can't you find him or her? I need a professional hacker to hack into the KBS industry and only the best hacker in New York can do it” the stranger said, his voice cold and held no warmth in them. Only his voice alone made adrenaline run down Mina’s spine. “ He needs a hacker?” Mina thought to herself and almost immediately, a smile appeared on her lips as she approached the stranger. There is one thing about Mina that no one knew about, not even her grandfather — the fact that she is the anonymous hacker whom everyone wants. To grab the stranger's attention, Mina walked to his front and flashed him a smile, which made him frown. “ I only want to hear good news, so do whatever it takes to find New York’s best hacker,” the stranger warned coldly before hanging up. “ And who are you?” The stranger cast a cold glance at Mina who swallowed and held the hem of her wedding dress tightly. She wasn't sure if she was doing the right thing, but she just had to save herself from this hell of a marriage she was about to enter. “ I am Mina, the bride whose wedding is taking place here,” Mina said nervously. “ And?” The stranger asked, while Mina bit her lips, unsure whether to continue talking or not. The stranger's gaze felt like a life sucking animal, draining her breath away. “ I have no time to waste here, young lady,” the stranger added, checking what time it was from his expensive and luxurious wristwatch. “ Please marry me” Mina rushed her words like she was being chased. “ I don't understand? Aren't you the one getting married?” The stranger chuckled lightly. “ I would rather not marry my fiancé, he cheated on me, so I don't want to go on with this marriage” Mina explained as she took her lips in. Her heart was beating so fast that she kept taking in deep breaths to steady her heart beat. ‘ If this stranger refuses to marry me, then it is over for me’ Mina said inwardly as she fidgeted with her ball gown. “ And why should I marry you? I mean, how sure are you that I am not taken?” The stranger asked, his phoenix blue eyes, staring deep into Mina's soul. “ I don't know, I apologise for sprouting gibberish from my mouth. Have a fantastic day” Mina muttered, her head down. She didn't think of that, what if the stranger was really married? “ So embarrassing!” Mina screamed inside of her as she walked away. Just three steps away, she heard the voice of the stranger speaking, and she turned sharply towards him as if she had been waiting a thousand years for him to call her back. “ What would I gain from this marriage?” The stranger asked and almost immediately, a smile crept its way to Mina's lips. “ I overheard your conversation that you want the best hacker in all of New York, “ Mina started as she took slow steps towards the stranger, whose brows were raised in curiosity. His curiosity suddenly piqued when he heard her mentioning the best hacker in all New York. “ Yes?” “ What if I tell you that I am the anonymous hacker who is known to be the best in New York City?” Mina asked, but the stranger just let out a chuckle. He obviously didn't believe her. “ Do you really think I would believe you?” He asked and Mina smiled. “ How do you want me to prove it?” Mina asked. “ Hack into KBS industries in five minutes, then I will believe you” the stranger gave her a cold smile and handed over his laptop to her. Mina took a seat in the corridor and got down to work. Her hands were moving swiftly like the speed of light and her lashes followed the movement of her fingers. In less than three minutes, she stopped typing with a smile on her lips as she handed over the laptop to the stranger. “ Done” Seeing that she has indeed hacked into KBS industries, a smile found its way to the stranger's lips. “ Sure, let's get married.”
