Joy
Their plane landed in Dutch Harbor at 4:00 on Tuesday afternoon, March 11th, 1997. Art and Leetia were glad to be going home. They made it to the harbor by 5:00 p.m. Their small boat waited for them at the boat basin, fueled up and ready to go. Andrew Gunnar Jackson was going to go on his first boat ride, the same day as his first plane ride.
Art radioed ahead so the crew knew they were coming in. As they neared the end of Esther Bay, they could see Kenny, Bert, James—the whole gang—waiting on the dock. Art slipped the boat next to the dock, and the guys tied it off. Leetia handed little Andrew to his daddy, and Art placed little Andrew into the massive hands of Kenny Creighton.
All the guys huddled around Kenny, admiring the little prince.
