His Special Mate

Chapter 17

ADDY’S POV:

I do not remember much other than all my emotions came to the surface, and I just could not hold them in any longer. I remember feeling a great energy surging through my veins, but then it stopped. I could feel a tingling sensation all over my body as my mate hugged me and then everything went dark.

I woke up and I thought I was awake, but I was not in my world. I looked around, a wolf lying on the grass close by. The wolf grunted at me, so I walked over to the wolf and sat down on the grass beside it. I felt a connection to the wolf, but I did not understand why. I petted the wolf’s head gently. The wolf purred in delight.

“Adeline, my darling child,” a woman’s voice said. Her voice sounded angelic. I jumped, not noticing that there was someone else here other than the wolf. The wolf laid their head on my lap to calm me down from the sudden fright.

“Who are you?” I asked, a little bit too blunt. My cheeks blushed in embarrassment.

“Some call me Moon Goddess or Mother Selene. Come child, I have much to explain before I have to send you back to your realm. Follow as well, my blessed child, Niylah,” Selene explained, holding her hand out to hep me to my feet. I took her hand and stood to my feet, as Ni stood up, stretching her body and then following us as Selene and I led the way.

“I will give you the short version of your story, since we are limited on time,” she hummed. I nodded for her to continue. “You see, your great-great-great grandmother on your dad’s side was a blessed wolf as yourself. She was killed by wolves who were after her power. There are many myths about each white wolf and their powers they possess, but no one knows that the myths are not true. The main thing to understand is the power you possess cannot be given away to others. It will strengthen your mate as he is apart of your soul. Now your mate, Maverick and you are destined to be with each other in this life and the next and no denial will ever stop your true faith, my child. You and Maverick are put together because your destine will come with a lot of trial and errors. You will overcome many obstacles together and separately, so trust me child I do not make mistakes when it comes to pairing my children. Trust yourself and your mate. You have the power to protect yourself and those you love. You are the most powerful out of those who have become before you. I am sorry for not letting your wolf appear sooner, but you were destined for great things in your life. Niylah and you are destined to do great things. Learn and lean on each other. I love every blessed one of my children, especially the ones I molded with the special abilities. You are kissed with my blessing, it is invisible, but Ni can tell you about it as she has been begging to meet you as soon as you turned sixteen,” she chuckled, looking at Ni who was rolling in the grass, wiggling around on her back. I chuckled with a big smile on my face. I can’t believe my dad’s side had a white wolf. He never said anything. Maybe it was because she died before he was old enough to understand. I will have to ask him about it later.

“You have endured more heartbreak and suffering from your pack than I would have liked. Those who have physically harmed you will be punished, as they have hurt my most blessed creation. You must be careful my child, and do not forget you are not alone to handle all your feelings alone, trust the ones closeted to you,” she caressed my cheek, leaning in and kissed my forehead, right between my eyebrows.

Before I could say anything, I felt like I was pushed towards the ground and the ground was swallowing me whole. I opened my eyes, quickly sitting up and gasping for air.

“Oh, Addy, thank the moon goddess you’re alright,”Lily said. Her eyes fogged over, then not even a minute later, the door swung open with a loud banging as if hit the wall and standing there was Maverick. His face looked both tired and worried. He practically ran to the bed, looking over my body from head-to-toe. He caressed my hand, gently, in booth of his huge hands. I was tiny compared to him. How did I not notice that sooner? Even his muscles on his arms are huge. He is so strong and I am nothing compared to other she-wolves.

‘Stop comparing yourself to others. Remember Moon Mother said we are destined to have mate. And he’s sexy and hot all in one package,’ Ni smiled, showing her big, wolfie grin.

I did not notice I was still gawking at my mates muscular physique, until Maverick leaned in and whispered, “Like what you see, little flower.”

I blushed so deep, my ears were hot. I snatched my hand away, crossed my arms across my chest and gave him a puppy-dog, pouty look. Maverick’s eyes flashed, telling my Titan was talking to him. Maverick quickly groaned loudly, as he rolled his eyes.

“Aww, she’s already got him whipped, Lily,” Katreena giggled.

Kyle and Maverick groaned, loudly, as both Lily and Katreena giggled. Axel and Maximus both smiled and chuckled, while shaking their heads.

I was still beet red all over my face. I dropped the pout and instantly hide my face in my hands. I hated having the attention on me, either though Maverick was in the spotlight too.

Goddess, I’m gonna have to get use to blushing a lot more now. All this attention plus the oh-la-la comments is too much for my face to handle!
