Chapter 18

834 Words
Addy’s POV: Everyone had left, leaving Maverick and me alone in the room. I didn’t know what to say or do, I was too nervous. I was still mad at him too for not telling me we are mates, but then again laws are unbreakable even for the alphas. ‘Stop being dumb, and trust the bond,’ Ni encouraged. Maverick cleared his throat, pulling my attention from my fiddling fingers. “Would you like to get out of here?” He asked. “Do I get to go home?” I mumbled, softly a bit of annoyance lingering in my tone. “You can go home to grab some of your things, but you will be staying at the pack house from now on,” he told me, his tone serious. I pulled back the blanket and stood up, walking towards the door, “And what if I don’t want to go with you,” I groaned, under my breath. Why is he so damn bossy? I have been taking care of myself for eighteen years and all of sudden I get a mate he just had to be an alpha. Thank you moon goddess for such a divine, stubborn, mate! I walked out of the hospital and straight to my house. I knew Maverick was following close behind me, but I ignored him. As I approached the front porch, I ran inside and all the way to my left room, slamming the door and locking it. I plopped myself on my bed, my face hitting my pillow. I screamed into the pillow. All this attention was annoying. ‘No one wants me to be their Luna, Ni,’ I mind-linked her. ‘All you have to do is try, as long as our mate is beside us nothing will go wrong,’ she encouraged. ‘Now get up, pack some clothes, and get your butt downstairs so I can go see that hunky wolf that is ours.’ ‘Ugh..you’re a bit perverted.’ ‘Stop complaining, you were thinking the same thing.’ ‘Go take a nap,’ I groaned, get off my bed and grabbing a backpack in my closet. I went to my dresser and stuffed a bunch of undergarments, shorts and pants, and some tank tops and tee shirts inside. I zipped up the bag, grabbed my school bag off the floor near my bed and then head back downstairs. When I descended the stairs, Maverick was sitting on the couch with my dad and Kyle. All three of them talking about the upcoming pack meetings. I did not greet them as I walked out the front door and headed to the pack house. I did not bother looking back at the house, as it would be there the next day and the days after that. I could smell Maverick following behind me, the vanilla and pine He still did not talk to me. Him following and not saying anything kinda made my heart feel saddened, but I pushed that feeling away. We reached the pack house steps, but I just stared at the doors. My heart racing as reality of moving in to the one place I told myself I would never do, is actually happening. I stared at the doors too afraid for them to be opened. I guess I spoke too soon, because the door opened and another queen b***h, Chelsea, from school trotted out the door with her little entourage, only to stop suddenly when she saw me. Her daggers eyes, glared at me. I was frozen in place, unable to move or say anything. Chelsea was stronger than me when I was human, since her dad was a warrior blood. I did not stand a chance especially since I did not have any of my protection tools on me. I left it all back in my room for now. I should have grabbed my defense gear. I could have handled her myself, but my emotional state was not in the mood. Ni was a bit too excited to rip the b*tch a new one. “Look girls, our friend is back,” Chelsea smiled, but the evil glint in her eye told me she was acting all nice, just because Maverick was behind me. “Well, hello Alpha,” her voice, going up so she sounded sexy and seductive. ‘Her voice is vile,’ Ni huffed. ‘She better stop acting like a fool because the only thing she fooling with around here is a duck. She needs to stay away from my mate.’ ‘Is she one that had been bullying you?’ Maverick asked, his voice serious and stern. ‘Y-y-yes,’ Ni replied, I only stood there, staring at her unable to move. Ni took control of my body, and I went to the back of my mind. I was not really paying attention to my surroundings, when I relinquished control to my wolf. There are too many wolves here that dislike me. There’s no winning.
