“What?! So you’re telling me she’s in the same class with us?!” Rosé surprisingly said as they were walking to their room for their first subject. “How come she’s not walking with us? I’m dying to meet her.”
“She went out early but I didn’t get to ask why.” Lisa said.
“That’s a bummer.” Rosé pouted.
They arrived to their room which was almost filled with other students. Before entering, Rosé scanned the room in hoping to see Lisa’s roommate.
“So where is she seated?” Rosé said as she’s scanning the room. “What’s her name again?”
“It’s Jennie. Now will you please stop being so creepy and just sit at the back?” Lisa said as she embarrassingly shook her head and dragged Rosé to sit at the back.
As she was dragging her best friend, Lisa secretly glanced to where Jennie was sitting, their eyes met and they smiled at each other.
“Have you seen her?” Rosé asked when they seated and craned her neck to look for her best friend’s roommate.
“Yeah, she’s sitting in front.” Lisa dismissively said and took her phone from her pocket and started playing games.
While Lisa was busy playing on her phone, Rosé looked at each one who were seated in front until she saw a girl who was seated in a behaved manner and fixing her hair while everyone else was loudly talking and laughing.
“I guess I found her.” Rosé said. “And I can already tell she’s got looks. Her hair’s silky.” She observed and Lisa didn’t respond.
While waiting for their professor, Rosé just observed everyone in the room like she usually do when she has nothing to do. Everyone was doing their own business; there were using their phone, laughing and talking with their friends, using their pens as if they were playing drums, some where singing while playing a guitar at the back. Until a person who entered the room caught Rosé’s attention. It was Jisoo, who was panting as if she ran a mile and she seated beside Jennie.
“Now look who’s smiling.” Lisa teasingly said with a playful smile.
“Oh gosh, if only I had the courage to talk to her.” Rosé dreamingly said while looking at Jisoo.
“Do you want me to be your wingwoman?” Lisa wiggled her eyebrows.
“Do you want me to be your wingwoman?”
“Okay, I get your point. I’ll stop.” Lisa raised her both hands defensively and went back to playing with her phone.
Few minutes before the class started, their professor came in and everyone in the room went silent.
“Before I formally start our class, I want you all to welcome your new classmate.” Their professor said and the room was now filled with mumurs and gossips. “Will you please introduce yourself miss?”
Jennie nervously stood up and cleared her throat.
“Good morning everyone. I'm Jennie Kim and I wish to be friends with all of you. Please take care of me.” Jennie bowed her head.
“Thank you Ms. Kim, you may now be seated.” The professor told her and the discussion went on.
After that two hours of dull and boring discussion, it was lunch break. Jennie was the last one to exit the room since she doesn’t want to be crushed by other students exiting the room. She also saw Lisa with Rosé outside but the two didn’t bother to say hi to her. When the classroom was emptied, she got up and picked up her things then walked outside.
“Hey!” Jisoo enthusiastically beamed which almost made Jennie to jump out of surprise.
“Oh, hi.” Jennie bowed.
“Are you gonna eat lunch?” Jisoo asked.
“Uh, yeah.” Jennie shyly said.
“Oh, great! I’m starving.” Jisoo said and linked her arms to Jennie. “I’m Jisoo by the way.”
“Nice to meet you.” Jennie politely said. “Um, where are we gonna eat?”
“Do you mind eating at the cafeteria?” Jisoo asked.
“I don’t, why?” Jennie confusedly asked.
“The food there sometimes is disgusting. But since we’re almost there, we’re gonna eat there.”
“Oh, okay.”
As they entered the cafeteria, almost everyone was looking at Jennie and if looks could kill, she’d be dead soon. Others was just staring at her as if they are judging her while the others were gossiping while looking at her.
”Did you bring me here on purpose?” Jennie asked Jisoo and the latter looked at her in confusion.
“What?” Jisoo bewildered until she looked around and noticed what Jennie had noticed. “Oh, no of course not! I’m just making friends with you since your just new here and the reason why I bought you here is that I don’t have enough money to eat outside. Honestly!” Jisoo raised her right hand.
“Then tell me who are they looking at?” Jennie asked as they sat down.
“So I’m guessing you’re not aware yet?”
“Aware of what?” Jennie asked, puzzled.
“You’re kinda famous.”
