Lisa felt as if a bucket of cold water was poured all over her.
Did Jennie just asked her that?
“W-where did you get that?” Lisa nervously laughed. “That’s ridiculous.”
“It doesn’t matter who told me.” Jennie answered. “So it’s true then?”
“What? No.” Lisa dismissively said. “Enough of that okay?”
“Then tell what happened to your roommate.” Jennie challenged and Lisa took a deep breath as she quickly thought of some reason why her past roommate left.
“I told you already. She transferred school.”
Jennie didn’t asked more questions because she was afraid that she was making Lisa annoyed and uncomfortable. Jennie took a deep sigh.
“I’m sorry for asking. I’m stepping beyond the line, aren’t I?” Jennie said, apologizing.
“No, it’s okay.” Lisa half-smiled and took off her shoes.
“I’m just trying to know you better since we’re roommates.” Jennie murmured and sat on her bed then took some of her things out of her bag.
Lisa heard what Jennie just said and she suddenly felt guilty for lying. But it’s for the better since she’s not ready to tell Jennie just yet. Lisa sighed and took her phone from her pocket.
