The darkest evening,

727 Words
On that particular evening I accompanied some other women and was told to took food, clothes, blankets and some wooden crates of which i wasn't sure whats in there, which was loaded by some local boys. They ordered us to take all these thing to the northern mountains to our fellows. I inquired that why are female supposed to do this so the girl said that the army do regularly checks of the male wagons and when they find families or ladies they let them go smoothly. The wagon started and carrying us with all the stuff that was handed over to us. Its was almost eight o clock in the evening, sitting in the wagon i started staring at the rifle and asked the lady who was sitting beside me how to use it. She tried her best to teach me its use and precautionary measures. We kept on traveling and after almost an hour we reached our destination. The driver told us to stay still and they called few other members of their group to carry the stuff that was in the wagon. I peeped through the windows in the wagon and i found that my husband was present there as well and he was ordering the boys to carry the stuff out of the wagon to their tents. He gave our driver a letter and asked him to give it to his mother, and the driver fortunately handed me the letter. All of a sudden I could here was a huge blast and we all closed our ears with our hands. My hands and feet were all shaking and i got so nervous and broke out in cold sweats. It was probably a blast that took hundred lives for sure. While still looking through the window my husband flashed a smile and screamed out load, "Congratulations my dears, he met his destination, and he's happy there, do we have any next on spot?" And with this almost twenty young boys who were there shouted "I want to be the next one" This whole scene was so terrifying that I thought i was in a nightmare. I asked the driver if we could move back to our house and fortunately he agreed to my words. As we had moved few miles away from those dreadful mountains my pulse got a little bit normal. We went straight to our home, holding the letter tight in my hands. Luckily my mother in law was sleeping so i went directly to my room. Holding the letter in my hands, i was so curious about whats written in there. I opened the letter slowly and started reading it from the beginning. The letter was somehow like this: My dear mother, i hope you are fine. I wanted to let you know that our group is going to move their camps to Kabul as the army has found our location. Take care of my sons and get rid of the daughters as soon as possible by finding some fellows for them. I'll send you some money for the wedding rituals and tell all my wives that i wont be able to return, although i'll return after sending three to four boys in the right path. Make sure Nishto don't contact her parents as i had scolded her up quite little the other night and she's quite young so i want you to send her to Waziristan as soon as possible after educating her, the rest you know how to handle a situation better than me" Reading this my mind went blank and I couldn't utter a word as i was paralyzed. This first thing that made me go into shock was that he already had more wives other than me and he already had kids. The second thing that blocked my mind was that if he already had wife and kids then why he married me and the third thing was that he beaten me up like an animal and he's calling it a little scolding then how'd he beat me in real meaning. I tried to convince my self that whatever happens i'll try to take myself out of this situation even thought if it costs me my life. I put the letter in the drawer and decided to hand it over to my mother in law by tomorrow.
