I crossed my arms over my chest, more to keep myself together than acting nervous towards his question. I had always known he would come up with this question some day, but I never thought it would come sooner.
I couldn’t give a correction, I couldn’t tell him I had no feelings for him. It would only break him after he had spent so much trying to prove his love for me.
