His Mate

My name is Jade. I just graduated High school, and I'm already moving out of mom's house and into the dorms for college. I feel like my summer went by too quick and it's already fall. See my mother has been bugging me to go to college all junior and senior year. "Mother's are supposed to want their kids to do better then them you know." she says in a heartfelt tone. "I know mom, it's just that I don't know what to go for. I feel like I'm a lost soul." I responded sighing as I finish packing my room. She always loved how I was naturally smart and beautiful. I couldn't help that my father and mother gave me good genes. Violet pulls into the driveway and honks her horn twice. Violet is my best friend since kindergarten. Shes the yang to my yin. I love how we're so opposite, that we get along. "Let's go b***h!" she yells from her black mercedes. I smile and grab my suit cases and head towards the door. "We love you honey" My mother and father says simultaneously. "We want nothing for the best for you, now go and make us proud." my father chimes in waving me out the door. I put my belongings in the back seat and hop in. I look at my parents for the last time then look at Violet, She looks at me and smile's. "Ready b***h, we have a freshman party to attend tonight." she says with a devilish smirk. As we pull into the driveway of our college, we get tons of looks. It's nothing new to me, but who likes being looked at every where you go like a celebrity. Not to brag but I've always been beautiful. I have soft long dirty blonde hair with grey eyes. My skin is a smoothe soft olive complexion. I'm pretty chubby, Not thin but not fat either. Just the way I like it. Violet on the other hand is small, thin, and pale. she has curly black hair with purple streaks. She's beautiful and good at makeup. I remember joking about how she could pass as a vampire every since twilight came out. We'd joke about vampires and werewolf's growing up. Little did I know what I had in stored. I took a deep breath and looked at Violet. "You ready?" I asked looking excited for our first day of fall semester. "Hell yeah girl, Let's go meet some guys" she replied. I loved Violet she's so excited for the little things. I looked around for a little, and headed towards the signs that pointed for freshman orientation. I didn't want to be late for anything. I was in such a rush and before I knew it I had fell into someone. "Hey! Could you watch where you're going please? " he said " I'm sorry, I guess I'm just a little too excited I forgot to look up." I replied looking up I saw a tall handsome angel. He looked a bit upset but he offered to help me up. "I'm sorry, What's your name?" I asked as he pulls me up from the grass. " Valentine, Now I'll be in my way" he stormed off in a hurry. "Jade, omg Jade.... are you okay girl?" s**t violet I almost forgot how she was right there the whole time embarrassing. "What a jerk, Let's go." as she shrugs off my silence. When I walk into the auditorium it seems to be over 2,000 freshman here, this was one of the best colleges to get into in England. It reminded me of harry potter a bit. Such Dark Victorian Vibes. I see a sign that reads *Freshman 532*. I turn to Violet and give her a hug. "Well, It's time for me to head to my seating area. Good luck." As she lets me go from the hug I feel emotional She's the only person I know here and we have to split. "I love you bestie. We'll catch up later at the party, good luck to you too."
