Once Payton walked out the cafeteria she followed Zelda at a safe distance, making sure she wasn’t see not yet. She needed to talk with Zelda before she lost the opportunity. Payton walked slowly not making anything obvious that she was following the student body president. Whenever Zelda looked back Payton would hide to the nearest thing available. Zelda walked into Payton’s dorm, going up the stairs Payton followed as a safe distance. She still did not get how one moment she was so weak and tired but the next she was following, stalking Zelda to her room. Untill now she had no idea Zelda even stayed in the same form as hers. Payton peeped her head from the stairs as Zelda walked to the very last room. Zelda turned the door knob of the door her hand still on the door she looked to Payton’s direction. “Are you coming?” she shouted just loud enough for Payton to hear all across the room. Payton stood glued to the floor how did Zelda, infact why did she not realize Zelda knew she was being followed. She didn’t flinch as all as she followed. Zelda rolled her eyes entering her room leaving the door slightly ajar for Payton to pass through. Payton finally getting back to reality rushed towards the direction of Zelda’s room. Once she was in she closed the door taking her attention to the room. Her room was just like any other but there was only one bed in the room. Opposite to where her bed was, a little desk stood against the wall. Books and papers rested on top of her desk, on the wall about five pictures were hanging on the walls. Her room was very different in terms of average arrangement, but with the way everything was it was unique. Payton tore her gaze from the wall to Zelda who sat on her bed looking at Payton with equal interest. She shyly smiled walking to the chair in front of the desk she sat facing Zelda. “I have two questions to begin with.” Payton spoke a bit more nervous then she liked. Zelda bit down on her nails due to the over powering emotions that kept building inside her as she looked at Payton. With her nails still on her mouth, she gave Payton a nod. “Sure ask away, I’m listening.” Zelda curled her fists then uncurled them trying to calm herself down. “How did you know I was following you and why don’t you have a roommate.” Payton smiled brightly looking at Zelda, she didn’t know why she was smiling so much. Zelda laughed nervously looking around her room but into Payton’s eyes, it was kind of embarrassing for her to admit. “I kind of hoped you followed me we have a lot to talk about and you tried hiding behind a tree, it wasn’t very spy like, you’re horrible at that. About the roommate I honestly have no clue, I guess it comes with the position, something like that.” Payton looked at Zelda slightly offended by her first statement, she brought hand over her chest. “I mean, I’m not good but I’m not that horrible at it. Come on I could easy abduct you and no one would notice.” she stated with full on confidence. Zelda broke out in laughter, the girl was not even over average at hiding how could she carry a full grown human without being spotted. “Yeah right. Don’t you dare though.” she warned the last part with a stern face. Payton wiggled her eyebrows playfully, “I will if you give me a reason to.” with a smirk she looked around the room again then her attention was back to Zelda. “Doesn’t it get lonely sometimes having no one around.” she asked concerned. Zelda vigorously shook her head nod. “Never, I mostly have me friends over. My room is where we spend most of our time, plus like I have Cade we spend the nights together mostly.” the smile she had with thinking of Cade on sent a massive wave of pain in Payton’s heart. Payton lowered her head looking down to the floor. “Oh okay, sort of forgot you have a boyfriend.” Zelda looked at her in disbelief she knew that was an actual huge lie. “No you didn’t, you just hope I didn’t.” she made a fairly good point that got a swift head nod out of Payton. Everyday she hoped Zelda wasn’t with Cade mostly after yesterday. “Yeah, I and everyone else, at least date someone who is like worth you.” it almost sounded like she was pleading, some part of her was. “Wow so who is, you?” the mockery in her voice wasn’t at all masked or a lie, she meant it to come out that way because she couldn’t believe she thought so highly of herself. Payton shamefully looked down to her fingers, it kind of stung the way Zelda mocked her. “I don’t know maybe I am, not that selfish prick excuse of a boyfriend.” she spat. “That’s being respectful, how could you bad mouth the guy I love.” Zelda defended looking so offended like she was about to blow a fuse. Payton laughed in disbelief finally meeting her gaze. “If his the guy you love, why the f**k did you kiss me Zelda?” she asked not tearing her gaze away. Whatever came out of her mouth next was only fueled by rage and she wasn’t willing to give up defending him. “Is it not obvious? I was drunk you were there I missed Cade, you were a substitute untill I realized it was a mistake.” disgust replaced her angry face as she looked at Payton. Payton shook her head fully understanding where she stood, Zelda wasn’t at all the angel she thought she was just like him. It didn’t come as a surprise, birds of a feather flock together. “Substitue really? For that homophobic prick. In case you forgot I am not a homophobic like you guys.” she pointed out trying her best not to shout or hurt her. “Excuse you we are not.” she shrugged looking at Payton in discomfort. The girl didn’t know her at all, that was a huge accusation. “Yes you are. If you trust and follow him around like a lost dog not objecting, sorry to break it to you but you are.” Payton shook her head in disapproval as she looked at Zelda. The girl shrugged once more crossing her arms in her chest she sighed. “So what he makes mistakes his human so are you, he isn’t perfect.” Payton hummed in disapproval, “I’m not human. Why do you stick around him so freaking much, don’t you see the monster he is.” that was the only thing she didn’t understand about Zelda, why she defended him so much even when she knew he was. “Because he isn’t as bad as you all see him, his great.” she spoke with full admiration, Payton rolled her eyes annoyed. “In bed I’m guessing. You’re the student body president, it is your job to take care of the students around campus. But you just watch as he bullies students mostly us gay ones and you have the audacity to say you’re not, he isn’t bad.” Payton got up from her chair she was tired of bickering back and forth on the matter. “Payton—” She interrupted Zelda by shushing her, her hand on the door knob. “Don’t dare mention my name I was a f*****g substitute. You’re worse then him just being homophobic, you’re a hypocrite on top of being heterosexist. Have a wonderful life with your bitch.” Payton walked out slamming the door behind her all her rage taken out on the door. Payton stormed out the form to her friends at least they didn’t make her so furious.
