The Summer house
The Summer House As soon as Lila saw the summer house, she knew it was the perfect place for her to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was a quaint little cottage nestled on the edge of a lake, surrounded by tall trees and lush greenery. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow over the lake, and Lila felt a sense of peace wash over her. She had inherited the summer house from her grandmother who had passed away a few months ago. Lila had always loved visiting her grandmother here when she was a child, and now, as an adult, she felt drawn back to this place. It was as if the summer house had a magical power that could instantly put her at ease. Lila stepped inside the house and was greeted by the familiar scent of lavender and rosemary. She smiled as she looked around the cozy living room. It was decorated with antique furniture and handmade crafts that her grandmother had collected over the years. Lila felt a pang of sadness as she realized that her grandmother would never see the summer house again. She walked over to the kitchen and opened the fridge. It was stocked with fresh produce and dairy products, just as her grandmother had promised. Lila decided to cook a meal for herself, using the ingredients in the fridge. She had always loved cooking and found it therapeutic. As she chopped up some vegetables, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the summer house. As she ate her meal, Lila looked out the window and watched the stars twinkle in the sky. She felt a sense of loneliness creep up on her, but she pushed it aside. She was here to find solace, not to dwell on her problems. The next morning, Lila decided to explore the surrounding area. She put on her hiking boots and set off to the woods. As she walked, she felt the cool breeze on her face and heard the rustling of leaves under her feet. She felt alive, more than she had in a long time. As she turned a corner, she saw a man sitting on a rock, sketching. He had a rugged look about him, with a thick beard and piercing blue eyes. He looked up and smiled at Lila. "Hi," he said, his voice deep and smooth. Lila felt her heart skip a beat. She had never been a fan of beards, but on this man, it looked perfect. "Hi," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. They struck up a conversation, and Lila found out that his name was Ryan. He was a painter who had come to the woods to find inspiration for his next project. Lila told him about the summer house and how it had been in her family for generations. "I'm sorry about your grandmother," Ryan said, his eyes softening. "Thank you," Lila said, feeling a lump form in her throat. They talked for hours, about everything and nothing. Lila found that she could be herself around Ryan, without any pretenses. He was easy to talk to, and she felt like she had known him for years. As the sun began to set, Ryan suggested they head back to the summer house. Lila agreed, feeling a sense of anticipation building up inside her. They arrived at the summer house, and Lila invited Ryan inside. She showed him around the house, telling him stories of her childhood memories. They ended up sitting on the front porch, watching the stars twinkle in the sky. Lila felt a sense of comfort being around Ryan. She had never felt this way before, and it scared her. She didn't want to get hurt again, but she couldn't deny the feelings that were blossoming inside her. Ryan leaned over and kissed her, softly at first, then with more urgency. Lila felt a rush of emotions run through her. She kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. They spent the night together, talking and laughing, and Lila felt a sense of contentment. For the first time in a long time, she felt happy. Over the next few weeks, Lila and Ryan spent all their time together. They went on hikes, swam in the lake, and shared meals at the summer house. Lila felt like she had found her soulmate in Ryan. One day, as they were sitting by the lake, Ryan took Lila's hand and looked deep into her eyes. "Lila, I know we haven't known each other for long, but I feel like I've known you forever. I love you, Lila. Will you be mine?" Lila felt tears well up in her eyes. She had never felt so loved and cherished before. "Yes, Ryan. I love you too," she said, smiling through her tears. They embraced, and Lila felt a sense of completeness wash over her. She had found love in the summer house, and she knew that this place would always hold a special place in her heart.
