Chapter 12

** Eduardo’s POV**

After arriving at the pack house and greeting everyone we finally head inside. I notice Sand wasn’t around and wasn’t out front with us. I was hoping she was my mate my mom always said she would be. I can’t say I was a saint by any means but I always made sure to treat her right. She still hasn’t found her mate yet and she turned 18 a few years ago. As I’m trying to look around for her I notice Brayden staring at Rae. Like intently nothing breaking his gaze I start to wonder if it could be because they are mates. His wolf won’t know yet since she’s not 18 but I know the last week before the shift you can see the signs sometimes. The best part is I know Brayden doesn’t have a single clue either he’s pretty daft. I get pulled out of my thoughts to the most tantalizing smell getting stronger and stronger. My senses are blown out by a mixture of cherrys with vanilla my head starts to turn towards the sent. As soon as I do Sand has tackled Rae to the ground hard. If the had been in a ring it would have looked like Sand came fly of the ropes and landing on Rae.

MATE MATE MATE!!!!!!! MOM CALLED IT ITS SAND!!!!! TAKE HER NOW!!!!!! Apollo goes off in my mind before I can stop it Apollo has taken over and grab Sand by the arm and yanked her to him. Without missing a beat I get kneed in the nuts and throat punched. Before she can hit again her eyes go wide and with such fast movement brought her lips to mine. I have to pull away cause I still havnt recovered from her punch in the throat. She’s looking me over assessing the damage she did but I could give a rats a**. Sand has always been my dream but never thought I would blessed with her tinny little Korean Goddess self. She has long sleek black hair with the front part of her hair blonde, golden honey brown eyes you just sink into their warmth, very petite probably at like 5 foot 3, snd the curves to rival the muses in Hercules. God my mom would be so happy right now if she could see this and I’m so grateful she was right. Tears start running down my eyes trying to get them to stop I get up and turn away from everyone. I fell these little arms wrap around my waste and hug me shooting waves of tingles through my body. Swiftly I turn around and lift her up to hold. She wraps her legs around me and nuzzles her face into me neck as I do the same to her. “ Ed I’m pretty sure I know what this is so just listen to me okay.? I know how happy you are that it’s me I don’t doubt that one bit. Your mom called this for years and she’s gone now. She’s not here to see this to gloat and be happy. But I know the goddess let her see this and that she made sure you met me at the right time to help you through. She is smiling down on us happy to know you have found someone who loves you and that you love back. So stop the tears she wouldn’t want you like this. Now to kill the Mother F****r her did this to yall she will want. What she wouldn’t want it you feeling guilty for being happy you found your mate after she died.” Sand almost whispers to me as I start to relax. She pulls away and places our foreheads together then places a peck on my lips. I slowly let her down and wiped my face of the tears. I grab her hand and lead her to the elevator.

** Raelynn’s POV**

Watching Ed and Sand realize they were m mates was so fitting and cute. I wouldn’t have expected any less than for her to hit him before know. She the perfect person for him and just the person he needs at his side while going through this. I’m standing in the back of the elevator watching them interact with each other. I’m ready to find my mate I have people who are basically family but all my blood family is now gone. Meagan’s is as well she’s beside me holding my hand right now the closet thing we have is each other. She rest her head in my shoulder and I lay mine on top of hers. I feel another hand slide into my free one I know who it is but I don’t understand why. I’m having trouble believing he’s genuine in his concern. I lift my head and look him in the eyes about to take me hand away and let him have it. The doors come open and I just step off yanking my hand away. This won’t be like it was years ago I will not let him fake his away into my heart again. I watch Brayden walk behind his desk and see his face morph into one of worry. “ So? Have you found anything on the attack of our pack? Have y’all found our parents bodies yet? Is there anything left of our home? When can we have a funeral for our family’s and those we were suppose to protect?” As I burst forth with the questions I start to feel my aura seep out a bit. I don’t think anyone noticed it did last long. Brayden has his eye brown raised a bit looking at me puzzled.

R: So are you going to answer my questions our not Alpha? Or are you trying to find a way to sugar coat something you don’t really wanna tell us?

B: Raelynn watch your tone with me. I understand that you are up set you’ve had a long couple of days for you three. But you will not come at me like that so take a few steps back and I will tell you everything.

I take a few steps back I didn’t realize I took towards him. Trying to rein in control over my emotions but I’m starting to realize I’m failing.

R: I’m sorry Alpha Brayden you are right I am a bit on edge. Please proceed.

B: So first of all we will have the dinner and induction ceremony starting at 7. Rae you are in the room first door to the left, Ed your room is to the right side next to my office, and Meagan you are across for him. Ed tonight you we also be sworn is as our Gamma with Sand. Congratulations by the way! As for your pack I sent some men out to investigate and havnt been able to find anything out on who did it but….

R: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE F*****G KIDDING ME?!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN TOU FOUND NOTHING?!!! YOUR MEN ARE SOME LAZY THUNDER C***S WHO EITHER DONT KNOW THIER JOBS OR JUST DONT F****G CARE!!

I’m slammed into the wall behind me. Brayden has me pinned against it with his aura on full blast and everyone around us has dropped to the floor with their neck barred. I let out a low growl at him as I try and pull away not breaking eye contact. I’m ready to knee him in the nutts and slap the hell out of him for touching me like this. But a small part of me likes it and wish we were alone in here.

B: RAELYNN I DONT KNOW WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE MARCHING UP TO ME SCREAMING LIKE THAT. YOU NEED TO GET CONTROL AND CALM DOWN! IF YOU DONT STOP PROJECTING YOUR AURA IN THE NEXT 30 SECONDS I WILL TAKE IT AS A CHALLANGE.

I hadn’t even realized that my aura was out the way it was I gulp at his words. I relax and brought my aura back in. He slowly lets me off the wall and walks back behind his desk.
