Joining Black Moon

Chapter 14

** Raelynn’s POV**

As I look around at what all the pack has accomplished so fast down to every little detail is astonishing. I always loved the pack colors the dark green sliver and black and probably even more so now. Aunt Daphnis approaches me saying it time to head towards the stage as part of l members start making their way inside. As I start to head towards the stage my heart sinks think that instead of an Alpha ceremony I’m joining another pack. It sinks further that my parents aren’t here or Ed’s or Meagan’s I can feel tears threaten to slip from my eyes. I sniffle real fast and take a deep breath and finally lift my head to continue to where we need to be. I know I’ll get my revenge and I know the moon goddess is letting my family and pack look down on us letting them know we are okay. As we make it to our seats on the stage I see Brayden make his way in through the side door and I can’t help but look him up and down without a once of regret.

His chocolate wavy hair is left in its usual shaggy style he didn’t do a thing with it, he’s wearing a dark green button up shirt that clings to every muscle, the sleeve rolled up a quarter of the way showing off part of his tattoos, a black jacket in hand that match his black slacks and shoes. He looks like a wet dream if I’m being honest is takes me a second to take my eyes away. I see him smirk as I finally tear my eyes away to take my seat. I could have sworn I saw a wink when I sat down but there’s no way he would do it that openly. I’m starting to get impatient waiting for the last of the pack to take their seats so we can begin.

***Braydens POV***

After getting out of a meeting with some of my top warriors about the security before we have the celebration for inducting Raelynn, Ed, Meagan tonight. It went later than expected going over last minute details than I would have liked it to. As I make it to my room I see Ed and Dylan already dressed and drinking from my bar cart. I quickly run to my closet and grab something to wear. I go to reach for the black when Ed comes in and swats my hand. My head snaps to him at the action to see him grab a dark green shirt and shove it at me. I lift an I brow at him in question as to why he just picked it and slapped my hand. He just tells me to trust him I’ll understand later and walks off towards the room. When I come back out partially dressed shirt still unbuttoned as I head to the bathroom to put on some deodorant I see Dylan’s head lift and look at me. Then he holds out his fist and Ed fist bumps him just nods his head. They know something I don’t but I can’t dwell on it to much I need to hurry before I’m late. When I come out Ed’s already gone probably to be with the girls and take their spots. Dylan takes his last swing hands me a shot and we head out. Finally make it to the side door just in time Dylan opens it up and I walk in. As I take the steps on the stage I see Raelynn practically eye f***ing me. I can’t help the smirk I give her and throw her a wink. I can tell he’s flustered by the slight pink that comes to her cheeks. I can’t stop stealing glances at her as I prepare to get everything started. She’s wearing this silk like deep emerald green dress, the slight bunching around her chest just make her breast seem to pop out, there’s a slit on one side the goes almost to the top of her hip exposing her long toned legs, the heels just make it that much better. Her hair just effortlessly resting down her back makes me wanna wrap my fingers in it, and those eyes could knock me to my knees. I thought my eyes popped in my shirt but hers put mine to shame. I know realize why Ed handed me the green shirt so I could match her. Was it really that obvious not that I’ve been hiding it but trying to be respectful. I’m glad there a podium in front of me or everyone would be able to see exactly what I think of her in that dress. Hopfully I can calm myself down before I step from behind the podium last thing I want is the whole pack seeing my hard on.

Finally I see the warrior at the door give me a thumbs up telling me everyone was now here. Time to get this started and over with so we can start figuring out who took out Lake Moon. I tap the mic to make sure it’s on so I can call everyone to order.

B: Alright Blood Moon pack if I can get everyone to take their seats it’s time to get this started. Before I start the ritual I would like everyone to take a moment of silence for the loss of the Lake Moon pack. The were life time allies and family to us hear a black moon. My Uncle was also the Beta which a lot of yall knew and had met. I know a lot of yall head friends and probably even some family at Lake Moon as well. I asked during this silence you give a few prayers to the Moon Goddess for anyone grieving and for those lives lost.

I sit looking out over my pack I can see the tears in some eyes and members comforting each other.

B: Now today we will be excepting the three sole survivors of Lake Moon. Raelynn daughter of the Alphas of Lake Moon, Eduardo my cousin and the son of the Betas, and Meagan the daughter of the Gama’s. Even though they are not ranked members of this pack you will treat them as if they were. That being said Gamma Sand has found her mate so not only is Eduardo being indicted into the pack but as your male Gamma as well!

Cheers erupt from all over the room it’s almost deafening but it’s definitely great to hear the joy after the sadness of the past few days.

B: Now we shall start with Meagan please come forward so we can start.

She makes her way to me and stops the the table next to me I grab the knife and she nods her head as I take her hand and slice across her palm and let the blood start to drip into the glass.

B: Megan do you swear to protect Black Moon and your fellow pack members?

M: I do Alpha.

B: Do you swear loyalty to me as your new Alpha to follow my commands?

M: I do Alpha.

B: I Alpha Brayden James Ashford Accept you Meagan Grace Potts into the Black Moon Pack!

M: I Meagan Grace Potts accept you Alpha Brayden James Ashford as my Alpha and Black Moon as my pack as long as you allow me!!

Cheers could be heard as everyone welcomed Meagan into the pack. She then took a drink of the glass and I felt the bond snap in to place and I mind link her welcome to Black Moon and tell her to go sit back down.
