It was late in the afternoon. Alex would be working later that night, so was making sure she had a rest, wanting to be wide awake at work. Sleep, however, evaded her as her mind filled with thoughts of what she'd read in the diary. She had quickly realised that the diary was providing her with a s****l stimulus. For reasons she found difficult to explain to herself, reading the killer's words, sometimes reading the words out loud as he described the things he'd done to his victims, gave her a feeling between her legs that she could only describe as arousal. Arousal, something she hadn't experienced in a long time, until recently.
