CHAPTER-THREE

871 Words
Everyone relaxes when the Black Alpha and his pack shift to their human forms. It means they don’t want another fight, and we can let our guard down for now. “Azul, I am Lucas, leader of the Pack of Adonis” the Big Black Alpha, in his now human form spoke and the whole pack stomped their feet on the ground. Lucas looks in my direction, and I can't tell which is more beautiful, his face or his voice. His blue eyes look prettier in his human form, and his features are like nothing I imagined an Alpha to be like. He looked like Edward from Twilight, more of a Vampire than a wolf. He had milky skin, a slender yet tall and fit figure, and a face that should be considered a crime to have. I wasn’t the only one in my pack drooling, I heard Kate inhale sharply when he spoke too, and I know the other young females in my pack were thinking the same thing: How do we get this god under our sheets? It was also a heat period for many in my pack and Lucas just made things a hundred times worse. “We come in peace,” He says to break me out of my trance, as I lower my head to regain some level of composure. Alaric chuckles. He knows what is going on in the mind of every young female wolf in the pack. “Lucas and his pack have apologized for the attack they made on us, Azul. There is an ongoing war in their territory and in the meantime, they have to remain as refugees. They attacked us in fear, and as a mode for survival which I know we can all understand. In the meantime, Adonis Pack and their leader, Lucas would live amongst us till we decide whether or not to form an ally with them for the war. I hope that is okay with everyone?” Even though Alaric asked if we were fine with it, we all knew a rebuttal would change nothing. If the elders have decided, then so be it. Right now, I want nothing more than to return to my human life. With Lucas now in our territory, and my heat period surprisingly heavier at this instant, blue-eyed babies do not seem like such a bad idea. I give myself a huge mental smack and internally shake my wolf to get rid of the stupid butterflies in my organ. I look around and realize Lucas isn’t the only good-looking one in the Adonis pack. There are more men than women and the silver eyes seem to be a signature mark with the pack. While our pack is a mixture of teens, youths, and even adults, Adonis is made up of only young people. The girls are a handful and pretty, and the men with their silver eyes, moving Adam’s Apple, and arms that could hold the world down for a minute…they’re gorgeous. I hate them all the more! This is the worst time to show up and I could cry from all the pressure they’re putting me under. “Now that we’re all gathered here, it's high time we all meet the Alpha of this pack” Azula speaks, and all my attention diverts to the Silver wolf who saved my life. I forgot he was still here, and surprisingly, he is the only person still in his wolf form. He turns to me for about two seconds and I take a mental note to check myself and find out what exactly this Alphas find so interesting that they keep glancing, or like Lucas is doing now, staring rudely at me. I roll my eyes in disgust and turn my attention back to our Alpha. I’ve never looked at him before, and for all I know, they say he spends more time with humans than with his kind. Such a strange leader. Kate’s attention is also fixed on him, and I can feel the eagerness in the whole Azul pack to see the Alpha again. The Silver wolf takes a step back, and flashes of lights come into view. We see his feet, then his knees, then his arms, then his chest… all built! If Lucas looks like Edward, then the human form of our Alpha looks like the younger version of Jason Momoa, and strangely all too familiar. It feels like I've seen and been held by those hands before. I’ve seen that chest somewhere but I can't just remember where. His face is the last to shift, and when it does my heart drops, along with my knees. The only reason I'm still standing is Kate’s fast reflexes. She holds me up and gives me a tight squeeze on my arm when she sees the Alpha’s face as well. “Azul” Alaric’s voice comes through again, “Meet Sky, the Alpha of our pack”. Everyone cheers with genuine joy but while they see ‘Sky’, all I see is Louis, my boyfriend who cheated on me right before we were summoned to the arena. For some reason, Louis is the Alpha of my pack. I’m so dead.
