Miscarriage

Judah's POV

At Some point I had to admit Cathy is acting weird, one minute she is happy and all hyped up and the next she crying for flimsy reasons.It can be frustrating for me cause I hate seeing her cry and I keep wondering if there was any reason for her to cry or she was just being extra. Once I voiced this out and she went from being all teary to being very angry,even screaming at me.The last time this happened was when Nathan informed me he was back together with my sister, Cathy screamed getting all excited that she immediately began calling all our friends to share the news.Immediately Nathan left I walked towards her casually saying "You know this isn't ours to announce right,you should allow Natalie do that" that was all I said and she began crying saying "Natalie is my friend and I have every right to be happy for her,she is like a sister to me so stop making it seem like I'm crazy" "I never said that,baby why are you crying,this isn't so deep or you're being dramatic" I replied surprised to see her crying.After that statement all hell broke lose,she went from crying to screaming at me angrily,to say I was shocked was an understatement,I kept wondering if my girlfriend was bipolar.

I had to apologize to keep the peace. The next day,I had a discussion with my girlfriend just to make sure we were ok and she sounded fine until I brought up her mood swings,while trying to explain she was already getting emotional,so I had to drop it but before I did I said "Babe whatever this is has got to stop cause it is as crazy as f**k".I couldn't stand her being sad so I ended up apologizing again but she said "I'm fine Judah, I'm not mad,I just don't know what is wrong with me".I felt bad bringing it up and we promised to figure it out together.That weekend went over to see my parents along with our friends,when we got there Hansel made a comment on how surprised he was to see Nora,but I wasn't cause I knew Nora was tight with the girls.She is even closer to Cathy and my sister for whatever reasons best known to them and has been at my apartment a couple of times.I have no issues with her but I was surprised he expected her to be absent.The night went well aside from the fact that my mom blamed me for not taking care of my girlfriend cause she was hungry and Natalie rubbing it in but I was happy when the conversation switched to her relationship with Nathan, the look on her face was priceless.That night,my girlfriend and I went over to her parents house to have dinner with them, everything was going smoothly until her mom said "Well I thought you would end up with Andrew,you guys were high school Sweethearts,you even won prom king and queen.I just felt you were soulmates but it's ok you're with Judah, I know he can take care of you better, cause he has the means to" we all paused before Cathy said "Mom what the hell are you saying" "Don't pay attention to your mom,I think all this is coming up cause we met Andrew in town last week and he has a fiancee,plus he's got a well paying job as his mom brags"Her dad responded dismissively "I guess he is getting married to Mirabella" Cathy said smiling "Not his baby mama,she dumped him actually he is engaged to someone else, his mom kept going on and on about how her son is some big shot,well I informed her you were doing better besides your boyfriend has his own company"her mom replied making me uncomfortable "You should have been there to see mom and the other lady, it was totally like they were having a pissing contest"Cathy's younger brother Cain said "keep quiet young man,I won't allow anybody put my daughter down in my presence beside she picked someone better than him who cares and actually spoils her" her mom said "Mom please stop,this is not a competition,I picked someone I loved not some who can spoil me"Cathy said "I'm just happy you dumped that cheating bastard and you happy,but young man I don't care if you are Natalie's older brother if you hurt my daughter there would be no second chances" her dad said to me which I replied "I'll do my best sir" "You better"he said making Cain and his twin Caleb whistle "would the two of you act appropriately" her mum said to twins who smiled ignoring her "Talking about spoiling my daughter Judah,she looks pale,are you sure she is ok" she asked and I looked at Cathy again but she quickly said "I'm fine mum,just a bit stressed with work that's all" "You need to take good care of yourself honey,men are attracted to what they see,so no w***e steals your man again"her mom said "Mom!!!! please stop this is really embarrassing" Cathy replied "That is totally uncalled for,if he truly loves her he would stay" her dad said "she is just stressed,in no time she would be better besides she still looks beautiful to me"I said smiling.

"So dude when are we getting a vacation in New York"Caleb asked me "Whenever there is a school break and your parents approve"I replied and they smiled "Cool" Cain said "I've not approved yet,maybe if you reduce those parties you sneak off to and actually focus on school work I would" their dad said while they sighed "We sneaked off just one time dad and we were grounded for that" Cain replied.The evening went well and we stayed for breakfast the next day,we left in the afternoon just to spend sometime with my parents.As we walked in,I heard my mom asking Rita about her parents while Rita answered happily but immediately my mum left she said "It's a pity you keep inserting yourself where you are not welcomed,how stupid you look tagging along with no connection" Nora ignored and Andre said "babe that is absolutely rude and uncalled for" just before going to assist my mom "If you haven't noticed,you seem to be the odd one here,that why no one,I mean not even Natalie's parents wants to get to know you"Rita said again "Are you so insecure about your relationship that you can't stand seeing Nora around or are you are naturally just mean,it shouldn't concern you if my mom talks to Nora or not"I was still speaking when my mom and Andre walked back in and my mom said "oh,I know alot about Nora,we talk on video calls alot since she is Natalie's friend,I also know they are business partners,I know alot about her but nothing about you so I was trying to get to know you" my mom told Rita who gave a stiff smile.I felt that was water over the bridge until that evening when Andre was arranging the table with my mom,who asked Nora to get the glass wares from the kitchen.Apparently she doesn't know where to find it, I told her to check the cupboard above her while I carried the food out but her hand couldn't get to it. While I offer to drop what I was holding before helping her,Andre who was done choose to go help her immediately.I think Rita seeing Nora walking out of the kitchen telling Andre thanks while they smiled politely set her off.

It started with her accusing Nora of trying to steal her man and plotting her way into Andre life calling her a w***e and a snob.With all the screaming going on I was surprised when my dad appeared trying to get the girls to calm down.Nora who hasn't said a word finally said "I guess you feel threatened by me which I don't find surprising with how pathetic you've always been but guess what, I don't want your boyfriend and your pathetic life" this only made Rita slap her which she returned just before they were pulled apart.Cathy and Natalie pulled Nora upstairs just as Judah pulled Rita upstairs too to their room.My mom kept asking me if both girls were always like this before arriving here and I said "I know they weren't in the best of terms but they've never gotten physical" I replied before going upstairs to make sure everybody is ok.I walked in on Cathy telling Nora that while whatever Rita said was rude,her final response was also very rude and condescending which Natalie agreed too and Nora said "I was just fed up with her insults,I don't even go close to her boyfriend but she still won't leave me alone".I walked away to allow them sort out their s**t, getting to Dre and Rita,I found out Joy was already with them saying "I guessed what Nora said at the end was rude but you pushed her to a breaking point Rita,you need to stop with all the insults,it's petty and childish, and Andre why were you even close to Nora" "I only helped her get the glass wares cause her hands couldn't get to them and Judah was busy,that was what she was thanking me for, that's all,for f**k sake she avoids me like the plague and that was the first word she has spoken to me in months,I don't even get to see and you know it babe" Andre said feeling frustrated "This has got to stop Rita,I cannot deal with this pettiness anymore" he concluded and I walked away as Rita started talking.

I moved downstairs to tell my dad they were fine when we heard the ruckus,it seems they were fighting again.As I turned to rush upstairs I saw Rita launching at Nora only for my girlfriend to step in-between the two.what the f**k was she thinking going to intercept between two people fighting,that thought was still in head when I saw I fall down the stairs.i rushed to break her fall but was too late,she tried to stand up seeming fine but we saw her bleeding before she collapsed again.I couldn't understand what was happening until my dad screamed for me to bring her to the car.Nathan drove us to the hospital and I kept pacing wondering why she was bleeding while Natalie and Joy kept crying.Everything was fussy in mind until the doctor came to tell me she was fine,I relaxed a bit but then he continued saying she just had a miscarriage.I didn't even realize Cathy's parents where already there,I wasn't even aware she was pregnant.

Everywhere became blurry,I didn't even know I was crying until my mom said "You have to be strong son,for her",I heard her dad swearing at me for not protecting her,I was mad at myself.I couldn't stop the tears,I felt someone hugging me,it took me a while to realize it was Natalie,"It's going to be ok Jude" she said "No Natalie, it's not,she lost the baby,I didn't even know she was pregnant, Oh God she must be hurting,oh God how can I be so stupid"I said angry with myself.We were allowed to see her but her parents went in first when she kept asking for me,I had to go in.I walked in,going to hug her immediately "Babe I just have to take a test, it's not like we knew I was pregnant so there is a possibility he is wrong,besides my mom said it's normal to bleed a little during early pregnancy" she said and I nodded.A few hours later it was confirmed that she really had a miscarriage but my baby still wasn't accepting this and was getting angry with me for believing what the doctor said."You did say I was acting crazy,so I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted the child gone well guess what it's gone,stay away from me" she said crying "Cathy, baby I would never say that, it's my child too,please babe, I'm sorry" I replied trying to calm her down knowing she is hurting but she was getting more pissed.I was asked to wait outside so she relaxed,I went out sad and defeated.

Before she was discharged,Nora came to apologize,but Cathy kept blamed her and Rita for everything which left Nora crying.I asked her to give Cathy a little space for the time being so she left. Cathy was discharged the next day and her parents took her home,I went with her but she asked for space.Andre and Rita also came over to apologize and she also lashed out at Rita who replied saying "I would never think of doing that to you,you suddenly went in-between,I swear I never meant to hurt you" she said but that seemed to piss Cathy off more cause she said "if you weren't so insecure about your relationship and trying to witch hunt Nora this wouldn't have happened,if you and Nora acted like civilized human beings not like animals, this wouldn't have happened so spare me this rant about your innocence and get the hell away from me"Rita left crying while Andre apologized to me.I felt I was losing my girlfriend cause while everyone finally went back to New York after one week of her ignoring and pushing every one away to remain isolated in her bedroom,she still wouldn't see me. Natalie refused to leave while Joy,Nora and Julia came back the following weekend but she still won't see them. Thankfully that weekend she called me and I rushed down only to hear her apologizing for losing our baby which made me cry,we cried together.By the following weekend she finally talked to her friends and I was a bit relieved.After that she smiled at me for the first time after the incident,we went back home four days later even though her parents insisted she stayed back.

I know we still have a long way to go before I can finally say she is ok but I'm just happy we are going through this together and she isn't shutting me out anymore.
