03: Working Together

"Don't hold back either Princess." I rolled my eyes at Ares dumb comment. "Trust me I won't." We wondered the forest for a while and didn't notice anything yet. It was honestly starting to get boring cause I was stuck with Ares but that didn't bother me that much. "So... why did you decide to join our party? For information?" Ares asked as he pointed his axe at my neck. I looked at his axe then at him before pushing it away. "Honestly I joined your party because I have nothing else to do in life. Besides it's not like people care about me anyways."  I whispered the last part. I could tell Ares was eyeing me up and down. I just rolled my eyes and continued walking. I stepped on a few sticks as the sound of our footsteps got louder. Ares really didn't say anything to me after that. It was just quiet. The awkward silence lasted between us for a while until I heard Ares say, "Your not that bad." I looked up at him and raised my eyebrow. "Magic wise. Your actually really good but personality wise, you're trash." I rolled my eyes with a slight smile. "I actually thought you were giving me an genuine compliment." Ares scuffed before looking at me with a smirk on his face. "Wrong person." Ares wasn't a bad guy actually. He was just, stuck up. "Did you guys find anything?" I looked up and saw Glen and Fenrir. I shook my head before answering. "No, only a few animals." Fenrir sighed before scratching his head.  "Same here." Glen said before looking at Fenrir. I definitely heard footsteps and that stick breaking? It's not a coincidence. It's nearly impossible. If no one was following us then, who was here? My eyes widened as I turned around. "Ares look out!" I yelled as he turned around. There were multiple fireballs aiming at all of us. My mind was stuck and it felt like time slowed down as I took a deep breath and held out my hands.  "Wall of water." A giant wall of water then appeared out of thin air and stretched 10 feet high in the air, stopping the fireballs from hitting us. There were still multiple fireballs hitting the water and my spell was getting weaker. My body wasn't used to holding a spell for this long.  "Don't just stand there idiots! Go!" I yelled at the 3 boys behind me. They were as stuck as I was for a moment before I yelled at them. "Being protected by a girl is weak." I heard a voice say as all the fireballs stopped. My spell weakened and I collapsed to my knees. I was out of breath for holding that spell for too long.  "I never thought I'd see you again, Titania." I looked up and saw the last person I expected to ever see. "Surprise." He said as he started to laugh. His laughter echoed across the entire forest.  I bit my bottom lip before standing up and holding the side of my stomach. "What do you want Elias." I said before glaring at him. Elias Goldstein. He's one of the very few people I put my trust in and he just up and took advantage of that.  "You know I really missed you and your feisty ways. It was honestly pleasing to watch." I couldn't help but despise him. He was nothing but trash in my eyes. I hated him.  "Mind explaining who you are?" Fenrir asked as he walked towards Elias. Elias smirked before putting his hand on his cheek.  "Titania dearest didn't tell you about us? Awww what a shame. Well then I'll kindly explain to you who I am. I am Elias Goldstein, next head of the Goldstein family and Prince of the Namaria Kingdom. I am Titania's fiancé."  I clenched my fist as I bit my bottom lip.  "I am not your fiancé nor will I ever marry the likes of you Elias." I felt a hand on my shoulder and it made me tense up. I looked to my right and saw that it was Ares's hand. My eyes widened before I looked up at him. He was glaring into Elias's soul with the look in his eyes. I could tell he was mad but I didn't know why. "Well Elias, sorry to burst your bubble but we can't let you take her." Fenrir said as Elias lifted his eyebrow before smirking. "Oh I'm taking her with or without your permission because she belongs to me and me only!" Elias yelled as his hands glowed. He was casting a spell and I have no idea what it is. "Not if I can help it." I heard Ares mumble before he dashed towards Elias. Elias was the type of guy to play with his prey before he ever got serious. He never really was the serious type since he was so confident in himself. That's one of the reasons he became my friend, because of his confidence. But as soon as he turned psycho, I had to leave him. He was way too toxic for me. "Near." I heard Glen summon a familiar. I looked over at him the at Fenrir before looking at Ares who started engaging in combat with Elias. They were all willing to fight him just because he was after me? We haven't even known each other for that long and they are backing me up.  "Guys..." I mumbled before smiling. "Alright Fenrir, Glen, are you ready to take this asshole down?" I asked as I pulled an arrow out of my quiver . "As ready as I'll ever be." Glen smirked before his hands lit up with fire. I smiled spread across Fenrir face as a couple of Elias men came from behind the trees with weapons in their hands. "Come on little girl, what you got."   "Don't try me buddy." I pulled my arrow back on my bow as the arrow glowed. I then took a deep breath before putting an enchantment spell on my arrow before releasing it. The arrow then multiplied and hit at least 10 of Elias's men. Glen and Fenrir weren't doing too bad either but the main person I was worried about was Ares. He didn't know Elias like I did. But at the same time, Ares is a brutal guy who doesn't care for anyone's feelings but his. "Titania!" Fenrir yelled before jumping in front of me and stopping the man who was about to s***h me with his sword. It took me by surprise as I nearly fell down. "Pay attention." Fenrir strained as he pushed then guy back with his sword. My head shot towards Glen and saw that there were three guys trying to attack him from behind. I closed my eyes before mumbling a spell while doing the specific hand signs. "Blindness."  The men then started yelling and holding their eyes while tripping over  a few sticks. "Dimension door." A door then appeared under the feet of most of the men and with the snap of Glen's fingers the door opened and the men fell through the door before it disappeared. Who knew Glen would be good at magic.
