05: Elias

"Elias was one of my very few closest friends. I trusted him with nearly everything. We trained together with our magic and even learned combat skills together. I practically grew up with him." I fiddled with my fingers as I looked down at my plate. "Elias has been in love with me for years and then one day, he just lost it." "Elias stop!" I yelled at the boy. The village was on fire, people were yelling, screaming, crying, running in terror. Everything was just in a blaze while Elias stood in the middle of it. "What? I thought you loved chaos." The blonde haired boy had blood all over his body. His hands, legs, arms, his face. He was a stone cold murder. "Elias listen to me, your hurting people, we don't hurt people." I yelled. The sound of a baby crying caught my attention as I looked to my right and saw a stranded baby in its crib. Elias then looked over at it before looking back at me. "Elias..." I knew that look in his eyes. "Elias no!" Blood splattered all over me as I tried to stop him but I was too late. The baby was now nothing but a puddle of blood in a broken crib. Blood stained my clothes, hair and my hands as I sat there in utter shock and fear. "This wouldn't have happened if you didn't go off running telling the stupid headmaster and those little friends of yours. Verose and Kuromi right? Blame yourself Titania dearest." His hands then cupped my cheek as he forced me to look at him. "Aww look at the terror in your eyes." He licked his lips. He was enjoying this. Enjoying killing innocent people as they sat there helpless was joyful to him. "Your a monster." I managed to breathe out. "Titania dearest, I know I am." "He killed an entire village with no shame or regret. After that I don't know what happened, he just-" I rubbed my cheek before looking up at Fenrir who was in more shock then I expected. "He killed a baby, in front of you at that?" Glen asked and I nodded my head. "It was a human village and he didn't care." Ares then threw his axe at the ground and it made e jump a little since I wasn't expecting that. "I'm gonna kill him." I looked at Ares like he was as crazy as Elias. "Elias is a heartless, brutal, stone cold monster and you wanna kill him? It's damn near impossible." I nearly shouted as I stood up. "You can't be serious." "Well I am and you aren't gonna stop me." "And why aren't I?" "Because your too weak to even take care of yourself." Ares shouted as he stood up. When he said that, it was like the time my father told me I couldn't read about demons. Heartbreaking. "When you die, don't come crying to me to help you. Oh wait, I'm the weakest link so you won't need my help." I turned around and a tiny hut appeared out of the ground. I grabbed my things before walking inside of the door. "Titania." I slammed the door before Fenrir could even finish his sentence. "Great now you've done it." Morning came it was time to travel back to the city. My legs were exhausted but I still managed to put on my white silky dress and black boots. I braided the side of my hair before putting it into a ponytail and threw my cloak on before walking out of my tiny house. When I walked out, the guys were already ready. "Ready?" Glen asked me and I nodded my head as I cancelled my spell. The tiny hut then disappeared as we started walking through the forest again. The trip was a quiet one, no one said anything. All you could really hear were our footsteps. This silence wasn't something I expected but what did I expect after what happened yesterday, especially last night. I bit my bottom before rubbing my cheek. Maybe I shouldn't be mad at Ares? I mean he is right though, I barely can protect myself yet I have powerful magic spells. I'm practically useless to them. "Titania." I heard Glen call me. I looked up and saw him walk backwards towards me. "For your information, you aren't weak." Glen's words made me smile as I felt my cheeks and ears get hot. For a second there, Glen's face turned a lighter shade of red before he scratched the back of his neck. "Oh and the spell you used yesterday, I thought it was pretty cool." Glen smiled at my compliment. Glen was the main one that made me felt so easy because he was the most easy going one, plus he was a really caring person even though sometimes he chooses not to be. "We could always practice magic together if you want since we're both magic users." "Sure it sounds fun plus I have a few fire spells I want to improve." Talking with Glen honestly calmed me down because I was still hurt from Ares's words but having a conversation with Glen really made me feel easy. It's like a giant weight has been lifted off of my shoulders but at the same time I was still not focused. I needed to talk to father about how I'm feeling but how am I supposed to do that? My thoughts were running wild as my vision started to get blurry for some reason. I held my my forehead before gripping onto Glen's shirt. "Glen." I managed to say before my eyes closed. "Titania." I looked around and saw that I was in a dark blue and white room. It had different type of symbols in it. "Where am I?" I asked as I looked around. "Your consciousness." I looked forward to where the voice was coming from. "Father?" I was actually in shock to see him here. "Telepathy Titania, the second spell I taught you." He smiled as I wrapped my arms around him. This was the headmaster of the mages college and my father. When I told the boys that I didn't remember much from my childhood, I flat up lied to them. I remember everything from my childhood, it's just that I don't like talking about it that much unless I'm around Verose or Kuromi. "I need to talk to you." I said as I pulled away from him. He smiled before putting his hands behind his back. "I'm listening." I told him about everything that has happened the past 3 days. I told him about the arena, the boys, Elias. Everything. "Well it seems to me that your friend thinks your weak?" I sighed before folding my arms. "Yeah." I mumbled. I heard him chuckle before he patted my head. "Follow your heart and don't let Elias get the best of you because remember, your my daughter." I smiled before nodding my head. "Thanks dad."
