Angel of Death POV
For some reason today has been extremely busy. Out of all of his appointments Detective Ryans still hasn’t shown up to pick up her keys. Since I made the call to O’Grady, I have been stuck in the office, doing paperwork. I lost track of time until I heard the service bell. I figured that Ted would help whoever was out there so I didn’t stop doing the paperwork. I was able to get another couple of pages done when I heard the bell again, this time more insistent. What the hell is Ted doing? I asked myself. I stopped what I was doing and headed out to the counter. I looked up to see who needed help. When I looked up halfway to the counter I quickly recognized who it was and I damn near had a heart attack! I never expected that O’Grady would find me so quickly.
I quickly composed myself and stepped up to the counter. “Can I help you?” I asked in my best salesperson voice.
O’Grady smirked. “Ye already have Mr. Bentley, so what is yer plant to beat me to Sierra?”
FUCK! How the hell did he find out who I am?! If I survived this I will need to go completely off grid. For now, I needed to throw him off my scent. “I don’t know what you mean or who you are?”
“Don’t play coy with me, I know that ye killed Trisha Pardue. Ye know I don’t like people killing me marks.” O’Grady whispered.
I pressed the intercom to the front of the store. “Ted, can you please watch the store for a couple of minutes?” I walked back to my office and grabbed my jacket. I then headed toward the front of the store and passed Ted on the way.
Ted smiled from ear to ear. “Sure, thing boss!”
I then turned to O’Grady. “Would you please join me outside, sir?”
O’Grady nodded his head slightly then followed me out. We walked towards my car to have some privacy as we continued our ‘chat’. I was currently standing in front of O’Grady and not knowing what he would do has me on edge. I took out a cigarette and lit it. I drew in a deep breath then let it out as the nicotine burned through my lungs. I then turned toward O’Grady. “So,, what do you wa-“ I was temporarily blinded by searing pain from my right temple. I felt myself fall to the ground as my knees gave out. I was still conscious but barely. I couldn’t see anything save for the dark spots dancing around in my vision. I could hear what was going on around me. I was trying to clear the fog from my head when I finally heard O’Grady’s voice.
“Ye should not have taken me mark. I had a really special treat for me. I guess that ye will just have to see what I had planned for her for yerself!”
I finally succumbed to the blackness that had been threatening to take over. The last thing that I felt was panic then fear and then finally freedom. I always knew that I would die because of my little hobby. I just didn’t know that torture was going to be the main part of my punishment!
Garrison O’Grady POV
After finally taking care of my little pesky problem, I threw his body in the trunk of his car and headed back to mine. I needed to change into my FBI clothes so that I could keep my identity hidden when I head back to my special little prisoner. I needed to come up with a way to keep Chancey hidden until after I deal with Detective Ryans for killing my brother, Brent Cummings! Once I was changed I entered the shop again and found Ted. “Hey bud, how about you take the rest of the day off and here is $200. You didn’t see me today okay?”
Ted smiled then nodded eagerly. I left the shop and waited for him to lock up and walk away before I drove to my newly acquired building where I am currently keeping Chancey. It was time to put my plans into motion. I needed to move her. I pulled up to the front of the building. I walked inside and to the room I locked Chancey in. “Okay princess, it’s time to go to the safe house. Do you want some food on the way?” She nodded so we exited the building and entered the car and drove off.
