Chapter 27

666 Words
Third party POV Kevin woke up to find himself tied and gagged. He tried to remember what had happened to him, but of course he had no memory of the past couple of hours. He turned his head to take in his surroundings. He was blinded with pain, but he still managed to see that he was in some kind of basement or cellar. It was dark, damp and musty. “It’s good to see that yer awake. Ye have been out for quite some time.” Keven heard the voice but couldn’t see anyone. “What happened? The last thing that I remember was talking to someone.” O’Grady stepped int view. “Ye were chatting with me.” He circled Kevin like a predator circling its prey. Kevin saw the uncontrollable hunger in O’Grady’s eyes. He’s seen it many times, in his own eyes. “So, what do you have planned for me? I know what you’re capable of so I was hoping for a little professional courtesy.” O’Grady smiled. “Well now, I don’t actually have a plan for ye. I was going to torture ye but ye are a very special guest. Ye know I’ve been watching ye for some time, Angel of Mercy!” Kevin stared at him, wide-eyed. “How did you find out who I am?” “I had followed the Angel of Mercy’s kills even before ye snagged Trisha from me collection. I was rather intrigued, at first, then when ye started threatening me, I began to lose respect fer ye. When ye actually believed that we were in the same league I was insulted.” He walked to a nearby desk and opened a drawer. He pulled out a small dagger. When Kevin saw what he was holding he began to panic. “What do you plan to do with that?” “Like I told ye before I don’t have plans. I act upon what I feel like doing. Right now, I feel like having a little fun.” He stood in front of Kevin. “Do ye wanna play?” Before he could answer O’Grady slashed his forearm again on his right thigh, all superficial cuts but they hurt worse than deep cuts and bleed more. After Kevin caught his breath from screaming, he knew that this was the last night be would be alive. “Why torture me, why not just slit my throat or bash my head in or how about drowning me? Come on aren’t you the famous Garrison O’Grady? Don’t you have like 50+ kills under your belt?” When he didn’t respond, Kevin played one more card. “Maybe I was wrong, maybe you aren’t the killer I respected. Doesn’t it suck being overshadowed by your brother? I guess that you’re just a p***y!” O’Grady snapped and plunged the dagger through Kevin’s left eye socket and straight into his brain. “I am not overshadowed by me brother, nor am I a p***y!” He left the room with Kevin’s body there, to be fed on by rats. “Looks like there was no Angel of Mercy fer ye!” Now it was time to move Chancey, yet again. We needed to be completely off grid because he was pretty sure that Sierra and Xavier knew who he truly was. He burned the alias Trip Johnston so he needed to lay low because it was only a matter of time before his face was plastered everywhere and that of Chancey. He was still cautious around Chancey, there was something off about her but he was unsure. He poured gasoline throughout the building and then lit it on fire as he walked out of the building. He sat in his car while he watched the building go up a fiery blaze. Once the building was nothing but a smoldering pile of ash he pulled out and headed back to the hiding place that he kept Chancey, his prisoner.
