“What the hell did you do, Martha?” Alpha Adrian barked at me in fleeting rage. I was visibly vibrating with fear as I stare at the scene in front of me. The entire kitchen of my parent’s house spilled with blood and the guts of my best friend, Kate. The entire pack gathered at the thundering of Alpha Adrian. Everyone watched in awe as I dropped the silver dagger that was already on my hands. The supposed weapon was already drenched in Kate’s blood and everything and everyone around me seemed to point at me as the main suspect. “I… I can explain. Adrian has been the Alpha of our pack for quite a while now and while everyone sees him as quick tempered and ruthless, he treats me like a queen. It's my birthday!!!" I will say and we would both scream on the phone. "Happy birthday to the latest full-grown adult. Now you can do what we do." She will reply and we will both giggles. "And guess what, Kate? Tonight, is the night that I will get it going with you-know-who?" "Martha, seriously? You mean that you and Adrian haven't done the…?" She would be surprised. "You can call me old fashioned, but I will like to keep myself till I am old enough." I would blush while pouting on the phone. "Well, it's better now than ever… So, what are you preparing for our hangout for the day?..." I jolted out of my fantasy immediately. I remembered that I promised that Kate and I would go apple picking with the other she-wolves, after that, we would later go hunting too in the evening while the party is going on. "Kate, pick up your call." I said, a bit frustrated. "You know, what? I will go over there and meet her myself." I said to myself as I picked up myself from my bed to the bathroom to get myself changed. I will go and visit Kate myself even though it's a thirty minutes’ walk. I will just transform into my wolf and run all the way there using the forest as a disguise. I took some extra clothes and put them in a plastic bag. "Are you ready, Mai?" I asked my wolf and she simply grunted. Ever since I transformed into my wolf at age fifteen, my granny has always warned me never to reveal my wolf to anyone. I used to live with my grandmother because I lost my parents at a very young age that I can barely remember their faces. My granny said that my wolf was very sacred and should not be revealed until after my mating ritual. The only person that knew about my wolf was my bestie, Kate. My wolf, Mai was the most unique wolf you would ever see. She has snow-white hair and a single golden line that ran from my nape to my tail. My granny said that I am the reincarnation of the first and only female Alpha that ruled the Moonstone pack: Alpha Althea. Alpha Althea was strong and ruled with an iron fist that no one ever dared to oppose her even though she was female. When she was going to die, she prophesied that her wolf spirit will come back to unite the entire wolf clan together. I never really believed in her tales because as much as I loved my granny, she also had a sort of a mental disorder that she had to be confined in a psychiatric ward. Still, I kept my wolf a mystery in order not to attract too much attention to Mai yet. I don’t want anyone believing that I will one day be contending for the place of Alpha here. I love him too much. When I got out through the back doors, I jogged a few distance into the woods before allowing Mai to take over my body. Because of our excitement, my wolf got to Kates place in less than ten minutes. I quickly transformed back to my human form and changed into my clothes too. I was going to surprise my best friend instead of the other way. Glancing through my phone screen, I observed that there were still some minutes going to nine am. So, I walked into her house only to be surprised that it was unlocked. Curiously, I tiptoed inside the house. "Who does she have inside that she would be too careless not to lock her door?" I asked myself. When I walked into her living room, it seems like her parents were not around because I saw some clothes littered on the floor, and I smiled. "How is it that the first thing Kate thinks about is s*x?" Judging from the male and female clothes on the floor, I know that she has someone in her room with her. Soon enough, I begin to hear faint sounds of moaning coming from her room. "I said it!" I controlled myself, trying so hard not to laugh out loud and attract attention to myself. Little wonder she did not pick up my call! I saw her telephone on the table. It have had several missed calls there. I decided to sit down and wait for her. But as I was about to sit down, I noticed that the scent from the clothes smelled quite familiar. I know Kate's scent very well and I can smell it too. However, the scent from the male clothing also smelled familiar. Where did I know this smell from? I picked up the male cloth to snuff it better, and immediately I did, it clicked in my head! "Adrian?" I was alarmed. My heart began to beat so fast. Oh no! It's not possible. My nose must be deceiving me even though I have a perfect scent. This can't be true. The person having s*x with my best friend can't be Adrian! Kate wouldn't do this to me! She knows how hard it would break me. I gained the courage to go and investigate this myself. I just wish Martha could give it to me like you would." He says. "She can't do it. She's still a baby." Kate replied, as I heard her breathing hard. This conspiracy behind my back was just too much. I stood up from where I lay and decided to confront them. This will confirm that I'm not hearing or smelling things. And they will not be able to deny it. I moved up to the door and opened it with force. The door was locked, but it was not difficult to get in. With my strength it went wide open. I have caught them in the act! Naked, oiled and sweating, Adrian was on top of Kate. My boyfriend who is also supposed to be my mate is having s*x with my best friend. Nothing can get worse than that. "Martha, wait!
