"You two amuse me," said the sheik after we finished our lunch. The deck hands cleared away our dishes and we three sat stuffed to the brim with delicious seafood prepared by his on-board chef. The food and wine lulled me into drowsiness and I had tuned out of their conversation, until the sheik had drawn me back into it. "Why is that?" Ash asked, smiling. He'd been the perfect gentleman since meeting me outside my apartment where I'd waited to be picked up. While I'd felt awkward and self-conscious upon getting into his car, worrying that I wore the right thing for lunch on a boat, he'd carried the conversation, talking about anything and everything.
