Going into her dreams 1
Chapter 1
Jasper pov
It's been three years since the war. All I've been doing is standing by my mate's bed. Begging for her to wake up. I don't know what to do. I had given her my blood. I knew I did it the right way. I watch as the doctors come in to check on her vitals. Then they leave after they change the iv bag out. I brought her back here to my pack. hoping that if she felt that she was home, she would open her beautiful eyes. But no such luck. Xander and LeeAnn come to visit a few times a month. they stay for a few weeks, then they have to go. My sister comes into the room and visits. I knew they were close, and all she does is worry. I've asked the moon goddess for help or what I should do. But I hear nothing back from her. Is this a test to see how long I would wait for my mate to wake up. A lifetime. That's how long I would wait. I knew Xander and LeeAnn would be here soon. LeeAnn told me she had a plan. I wondered what plan she had because it's to wake up my mate. I am all for that. I was pacing back and forth, trying to think of ways to get her to open her eyes. To be honest, I have no idea what to do, I've asked witches to help. They have given me positions. But I'm too scared to use them. Even though they tell me how to do it, there will always be something that goes wrong if I do it the wrong way. So I toss them out. I was holding her hand, and she felt so warm, so I know somewhere she's alive in there. The room dóor opens as Xander and LeeAnn walk inside. I didn't waste any time, I asked her.
“I know you just got here, but what do you have planned? If it's to wake her up, I'm all for it,” I said with a serious look on my face. Xander looked at me with a serious expression. His mate had the same expression as well. Damn, this must be really serious if they walk in here like this. Stepping away, I let them have the floor.
Jasper, I know you know what I can do. I couldn't believe I hadn't thought about this before. It can be really dangerous, but Xander and I had talked about it. I think I can go in there and see why she's not waking up. I want you to give me thirty minutes and I will have your answers." She didn't give me time to answer. She went to the chair that leans back, what we call a recliner, her head laid back. They weren't wasting any time.
"Remember to wake me up in thirty minutes. I don't want to be stuck in there," she said before closing her eyes. I wish I knew what was going on. I'll just have to wait and see what she says.
LeeAnn's POV
I knew I should have said hello to him, but I didn't want to waste time. I told him what my plan was. Then I sat in the chair, leaning back before closing my eyes. I uttered, "Remember thirty minutes," to them before drifting off to sleep. Once in a deep slumber, I knew what to do. I entered Laura's head. Initially, I saw nothing but complete darkness. However, I spotted a faint light up ahead and hurried towards it. As my feet touched soft grass, I saw Laura sitting thoughtfully on a bench. Taking a step toward her...
"You're not supposed to be here. Not for another seventy years. This can be dangerous if you stay longer. You need to go," turning, I saw the moon goddess. I knew it was her. I've seen and talked to her before.
"Why isn't she back, Selena? It's been three years now. Her mate is worried, we all are. Is she okay?"
"Of course, she's okay. But she's been given a choice. The higher-ups are involved, so until she does, she won't be sent back." I knew I looked worried. How can this be? The higher-ups, I've never heard of that. I guess they know what they are doing. I didn't like it, but what else could I do? I just couldn't grab her and demand she come back with me. This was wrong. All wrong, I asked her.
"LeeAnn, can I at least speak to her? Or give her a hug or something?" Shaking her head, she simply said.
"I can't let you do that, Lee. She has to figure out everything on her own. You need to get back before it's too late. Listen to me closely, child. I will do my best to help her; I can't tell you what's going on. That's as much as I can tell you. But you need to go back now." She grabbed my hands and kissed them. Then I was back in the chair, gasping for air. Xander reached me quickly. But Jasper was the first to ask.
"Did you see her? Is she okay? Did you speak to her?" He was asking many questions, but I answered all of them as best as I could.
"Yes, I saw her. No, I didn't get to speak to her, and as far as I could see, she is okay. Selena didn't let me get close to her. She said the higher-ups gave her a choice. They are just waiting for her to make it. But she is okay." Selena told me I couldn't speak to her, and you know no one disobeys her. She has her reasons. She said I had to come back, so here I am. Just be patient, Jasper. We all need to be patient.
I knew he wasn't a patient man. He’s been waiting for her for three years now. I just hope he doesn't give up on her.
