Chapter 34 Rogue Wolf Keith I knew my son would get caught; he was foolhardy. I watched as the guard dragged him out of the hospital to the cells. I was once in there, spending three years until the king banished me to be a rogue. Now, I'm out for revenge. I had planned on impregnating the queen with my pup, but that didn't go well. Now I need to figure something out. I know of an old friend who might help me. Without a phone, I must find another way. Let's see if she will talk to me first. Years ago, we made a bet, and she lost. As a consequence, she had to sleep with me. She did not like it when I tied her up and had my way with her. She screamed until I was satisfied. She should consider herself lucky I did not kill her. We had a bet, and she lost. After untying her, she spat in my face and kicked me in the groin before shifting and running out. That was the last time I saw her. Now I need to locate her again to see if she will assist me. I doubt she will, so I must find another solution. As they dragged him into the building and the door shut, I thought, "That's my son. You sons of bitches, if anything happens to him, I'll kill everyone." LeeAnn's POV We headed back to the kingdom, and I contemplated the questions I wanted to ask him. I was angry about the lies he told us, but I also felt sorry for him. After all, he had a rogue for a father, one who had done despicable things and ended up as an outcast. Upon reaching the kingdom, we parked the car in the garage. I assumed Xander would want to rest a bit before going to the cells to talk to him. However, he left to go there right away, prompting me to rush and catch up with him. I grasped his arm to stop him so I could speak with him. When he felt my touch, he halted and looked at me. "Don't tell me you're asking me not to punish him, LeeAnn. He lied to us about having a baby and intended to impregnate you with his father's evil seed. Are you trying to impede me from disciplining him?" I needed to collect myself before addressing him. I didn't wish to say anything out of anger to my mate. Taking a deep breath, I said, ‘Xander, at least ask him why he was doing what his father told him to do. There must be a reason, Xander. He's been here since he was a child. At least listen to him before you make your judgment,” I could tell he was thinking about what I just said to him, then he sighed. ‘Damn it, LeeAnn, I hate it when you're right, and that’s most of the time.’ He pulled me to him, holding me close. He leaned down to kiss me softly. My arms went around his neck. “Let me come with you, I want to ask him a few things as well.” He nodded, taking my hand in his as we walked toward the building where the cells were located. The guards opened the doors, and we went inside. He was in the room where we interrogated people. He was sitting in a chair, his hands were chained to the chair so he couldn't reach for anything. He raised his head when we came into the room. He looked terrified, and Xander let out his aura. I heard a whimper come from Mart. Xander was doing it on purpose. He then drew it back. “Mart, I'm going to ask you a few questions, and if I feel that you're lying to me, you're going to be up s**t creek without a paddle. Is that clear?” Mart nodded, then his head went down. He was feeling guilty. I would like to know if I lied about someone being pregnant when they were really not. “I want to go first, Xander, if that is okay.” “Of course, my dear, you go right ahead and ask him what you want to know.” He was calm with me because I am his wife, but I knew he wanted to rip his head off. ‘Mart, I want answers. Why would you lie to me like that? Why would you listen to your dad when you knew the things he had done to other people? Why would you do this, Mart? Give me my answers, or I will let Xander do whatever he wants to do, and trust me, it's going to be painful. “I knew this day would come when I would be here in this chair. It's been a long time. I was born here. My dad killed my mother. He said it was rogues, but I knew it was him that did it. I smelled him on her. He killed her because she found out what he was doing. I found my mate not too long ago, and somehow, he found out I had her. I don't know how, but he did. He came to me a month ago and told me if I didn't do what he said, he was going to do to her what he had done to the other females and then kill her. He was going to make me watch him kill her. I wanted to tell you the truth, but I knew he was watching. He has eyes everywhere. He said he wanted revenge because you banished him from the kingdom. I didn't want to do this. I told him I didn't. But I knew what he would do to my mate. I sent her away. I told her it wasn't safe here for her right now, so she's far away from here. She's waiting on my call to come home. I can't until that man is gone. He wanted to put his semen inside of you so you would have his pup, and once Xander found out he would reject you, he would think you cheated on him. But I wasn't going to do it. I just couldn't. I threw the sample in the trash a few days ago. I know who one of the spies is, I just have to get proof that he's one of them. The other, I don't know.” I heard Xander growl a deathly growl. His eyes turned dark. King was coming to the surface, and there he was. I could tell it was King. Here we go. He stepped forward and spoke in a deep, rough voice. Yes, it was King. “So, you're telling my Luna that your f*****g rapist of a father threatened to do the same to your mate and you sent her away. What the f**k, man? What I don't understand is why couldn't you tell my human what's going on? I think you're lying, you piece of s**t. Do you realize how much I wanted that pup? It would have been our pup, my heir to the alpha throne. But you betrayed us, Mart.” “No, no, King. I didn't betray any of you. I tossed the sample away. I wasn't going to do it. When you had gotten back home, I was going to tell you everything. But somehow you found out and had me dragged here. I don't blame you. Do what you must do. If I am to be killed, do it now so my mate can find her second chance. All this was not worth my death. All I wanted was to do the right thing.” “Mart. Who the f**k do you think is one of the spies? Tell me now!” “It's Wallie, the third in command of the guards. I see him sneaking off into the woods for hours on end. He's not supposed to be out in the woods; he's supposed to be guarding the castle. One day, I saw him snooping around and listening to conversations. I asked him what he was doing. He said it wasn't any of my business and warned me not to say anything if I knew what was good for me,” King growled loudly. He looked at the other guards. “Bring that son of a b***h here right now. If he tries to shift and run, knock his f*****g ass out.” “Yes, sir. Right away, sir.” And then they were off to go find Wallie.
