Chapter 33

Laura's POV

I woke up this morning and took a shower. I needed to get back to the hotel to meet LeeAnn, who was excited to see me. I wanted to be there before her arrival, and Jasper accompanied me. He mentioned that now that he has me back, he wasn't going to let me out of his sight, which would drive me a little crazy. This was my project and my hotel, and I hoped he would help, but he also had the pack to run. He can't forget about that; he had the pack before he had me. We drove to the hotel in silence. I was a little tired and sore from last night, but it was worth it. I missed my mate so much.

When we arrived, Preece was behind the desk, looking tired. I approached her and told her to take a break, as the other girl would be there in a few minutes, and then she could get some rest. She nodded and went to get some coffee. A few minutes later, LeeAnn and Xander showed up. LeeAnn ran up to me, hugged me, and shared with a huge smile that she had just found out she was pregnant. I looked a bit confused because I didn't smell a baby on her. What was she trying to imply?

"Xander, could you please excuse us? I need to speak with LeeAnn for a few moments." I took her into another room and stood in front of her.

"Lee, you're not pregnant. I don't know who told you that, but you're not. Someone is playing a bad joke on you."

"Wait, are you kidding me? Are you just saying that because you want to joke with me?"

"No, LeeAnn, I'm not joking. Something is going on, and I don't like it one bit." Just then, Xander and Jasper entered my office. Jasper started talking really quickly.

‘I have my own doctor coming; he will get the test results real quickly. He should be here in a few minutes. What doctor did you go see last night, LeeAnn?”

“We went to see our royal doctor,” I sighed and told them. “I don't think he was the royal doctor, LeeAnn. I started having flashes last night. I thought it was just a dream, but it wasn't. Just then, the doctor came into the office with a nurse.

“Alright, let's get this started, Mrs. LeeAnn. Please go into the bathroom and do your thing in this cup. When you are done, please wash your hands and then bring it back out,” she nodded, went to the bathroom. A few seconds later, she came out with the cup almost full. The nurse stuck a stick in it, and then we waited. We set a timer for five minutes, and then we sat back to wait.

Xander's Point of View (POV):

I can't believe the royal doctor lied to us. How could he? What does he have planned for this? I mind-linked the guards and told them to get him and hold him in a cell until we get back. They asked why, and I told them it was treason against the queen. They growled, and that's all I heard. I knew they would rough him up a little and then toss him into the cells. When it comes to my mate, I don't play around. I will kill anyone over her, and they know it. The minutes ticked by. It felt like it was taking forever. When the timer went off, the nurse took the stick out of the cup and looked at it. She shook her head.

“I'm sorry, my queen, but you are not pregnant,” I let out a vicious growl that even Jasper went down on his knees to submit.

“Sorry, Jasper, but this pisses me off. You don't play around with someone’s life like this. LeeAnn, go do what you need to do in the hall. I’ll be waiting here when you are done. Then we will leave and figure out what's going on.” She nodded and headed to the hall with Laura. Three hours later, they came back with a look on their faces. I asked her what was wrong.

"We were talking about the hall and how the omegas will be staying here while they worked on it when Laura had a vision. It's the f*****g doctor's father. He wants me to have his child. He was going to stick something inside of me to put his sperm inside of me. What the f**k, man? That's disgusting.”

‘Wait, I thought his father was dead,”

“No, he turned rogue and had his son become the doctor to watch what was going on. We need to get him out of hiding, and I know where he is at,”

“How do you know where his father is?” Jaspered asked.

“Apparently, they have given me the gift of sight, with the gift of seeing the future. I see flashes of what he is doing and what he's trying to do; I get bits and pieces of things,”

“The moon goddess has truly blessed you, Laura. People would try to hunt you down just to see what you can do. We need to keep your powers on the down-low, so no one will know; we must be very careful for now on,” she nodded, then said,

‘Xander, LeeAnn, I'm sorry about what the doctor did. I know how much you are wanting pups; it will happen, just not right now.” We both looked at each other then at Laura; then we both said,

‘Don’t tell us which baby will come first, we both want it to be a surprise,” Laura started laughing.

“I wasn't going to. But come on, you need to get going so you can go talk to that nice doctor. We knew what she meant. I was pissed about the lies he has told us. Why would he listen to his rogue father? He's done some evil things. He had his way with women, even killed them after he was done. I banished him to be a rogue when I should have killed him instead. Now we have to deal with him all over again.
