Chapter 32
LeeAnn's POV
I was wondering when Laura was going to send me the paperwork for the hall gathering. I wanted packs to come to find their mates, and I hope they do. I was just telling Xander how I wanted to do the hall when a fax came through. It was the paperwork for the hall, and there was some writing on the bottom. It said,
"Hello Queen LeeAnn, sorry this is late, P.S. my memory is back." Well, thank the Moon Goddess for that. I was excited that she remembered everything now. I will call her tomorrow to let her know I will be at the hotel in the morning with some of the omegas to help decorate. She doesn't know I was going to pay her for the hall; I just have to figure out where to put it when I get there. I gave the papers to Xander, and he filed them. He was happy that Laura had her memory back as well. I couldn't stand it; I had to call her. I called Jasper's cell because I didn't know if she had one or not, so I called his. He answered on the third ring.
"This is Alpha Jasper speaking. How can I help you?"
"Alpha Jasper, I know this is late, but I just got the fax that your wife sent. Can I speak with her?" I heard him chuckle, then he said, "Of course." I heard some shuffling around, and I think I knew what was going on. I think I'm going to make this real short so they could get back to what they were doing.
"Hello, this is Luna Laura. How can I help you?"
"Laura dear, this is LeeAnn. I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to hear from you. I'm excited to know you have your memory back. I wanted to let you know that I will be at the hotel tomorrow with some of the omegas to start with the decorations."
"Of course, I will be there. I can't wait to see you."
"Of course, dear. Until then, you go back to doing what you were doing," she giggled as she hung up the phone. I was slightly embarrassed, but hey, that's what mates do. I did tell Xander I would be right back. I've been feeling ill lately, and I wasn't really sure until I got a little sick this morning. So, I bought a couple of tests. Okay, I bought like ten of them. Hopefully, I have enough pee to pee on them. I went to the bathroom, did what I needed to do with them, then washed my hands just in case. I knew it was taking a while to get back to the office. I didn't think Xander would come knocking on the bathroom door.
"Alright, LeeAnn, unlock the bathroom door. I already know what you're doing in there. I saw the hidden test last night. I don't know why you got so many, but it is what it is. Are you going to let me in there so I can wait with you, or are you going to make me sit out here by myself?" I couldn't help but laugh as I unlocked the bathroom door. He walked inside, and we sat on the floor together to wait for the test results to be finished. I set the timer two minutes ago, so we have three minutes left. I felt like time was going by really slowly. Tick-tock, tick-tock. When the timer went off, we both looked at each other, then stood up. I leaned over the sink, looked at the test, and sighed. I picked the first one up and showed it to Xander, then looked at the rest. Negative. Every single one of them was negative. Why was I feeling sick? Why have I been smelling weird things lately? Shaking my head, I was trying to keep from crying. I really was hoping I was pregnant. Xander held me tightly, carried me back into the office, and then sat on the couch.
"Honey, we will try again, and we will keep trying, okay? We just started trying for pups. It's going to be okay. But for us to be safe after you get done at the hotel, let's make a doctor's appointment. Wait, how about we go right now? The test could be wrong. You know how these tests are. They could be false." I sighed as we went to the doctors. It was a little late, but I know the doctor and nurse should still be there. So, we got into the car and drove there. The doctor was already waiting for us. I wasn't going to get my hopes up. They were already put down when I saw the test. The nurse drew some blood, and I had to do a urine test.
"The test results will be in tomorrow morning. Do you want me to call or come to you when the results are in?"
"Please just call."
We both left as we went back home. This was going to be hard. I have a feeling the results are not going to be good, but we can always keep trying. When we got home, I asked Xander to come to the hotel with me in the morning, so we both could hear the results. He agreed, and we went home to get some sleep.
The next morning, we drove to the hotel with a truck full of items and a car full of omegas driving behind us. I was nervous about the test results. We didn't have to wait long. We were almost at the hotel when my cell started ringing. It was the doctor. I answered it but also put it on speaker so we both could hear.
“Queen LeeAnn, do you have time to talk on the phone?”
“Yes, sir, I have some time. Is everything okay?”
“Yes, of course, I have some news if you have time.”
“Doctor, will you spit it out already?” I heard him chuckle as he told me the test results.
“Well, congratulations, my queen. You are indeed pregnant. We need to set up an appointment to make sure that everything is okay. Can you come in later today after you get done with your business?”
“Yes, yes, of course. I will be there by three pm.” We hung up the phone. I was excited, and I have a pup growing inside of me.
Unknown POV:
"Did you tell her?"
“Yes, but when they find out I'm lying, they will have my head."
"Don't worry, I have everything planned out. It will be my child she will be carrying."
Hey, guys. I hope you're liking it so far. Don't forget to comment; you know that I will reply. If you're new here, hi, it's very nice to meet you. I have a group on f*******: named Tisha Bliss books; look it up. I started out as a reader on Dreame, and then I thought I would try my hand at writing. A few years later, and here I am. I know I have some books that really need to be edited, but please give me some time to do that. I love writing; it takes away my stress. My husband had a heart attack on Mother's Day this year, 2025. He had to have seven bypasses. Today, he is doing so well. He's on a bunch of meds, but he is still fighting to get better. Please pray that he does; he still has a long road ahead, but he keeps getting stronger every day.
