Chapter 29
Jasper's POV
After finishing our conversation, I asked Laura if she'd like to go on a date with me to the pack house. I wanted everyone to see their Luna.
"Would you like to go on a date with me to the pack? The pack misses you and wants to see you; they are all worried about you." Her eyes lit up, and she had a huge smile on her face, then she said something I had been wanting to hear for the longest time.
"I think it's time to go home, but I have to be back here in the morning to make sure the people are okay."
"Of course, I understand." She didn't pack anything because I knew she would need to spend the night here occasionally. I wouldn't keep her from her second home. She told Lucy she would see her tomorrow, and then we sped off in the car. It wasn't a long drive; it was only a twenty-minute drive. When she had mentioned,
"You know, I own all that land behind the hotel; it belonged to my parents. I could always expand the hotel to connect it to the pack house. All we need to do is build on and move a few trees. It might take some time to do, but I think it's a good idea because all we will need to do is shift, run to the hotel, and then get dressed. Alternatively, we could always walk. What do you think?" Was she kidding me? She had that idea really quickly. This hotel could be like a mansion; the land behind it was huge. She could build another hotel, but she wants to expand this one. It doesn't matter; I think it's a good idea, but it's going to take a long time to do so. I told her,
"If you truly want to do this, it's going to take a long time. We can start tomorrow, but it's going to take a minute to get it done. When we get home, we will draw up a blueprint and see what we can come up with."
I think it's a good idea to have a blueprint; it will make it easier for us to see what we need to do. I know we are going to have a lot of rooms, but maybe just maybe we can build it onto the pack house. So, half of it will be the pack house, and the other half will be the hotel. Just hear me out, okay? We can have three halves of the house: one half some of the pack house near the woods, the middle part for the other supernatural beings, and the front for humans, so neither the humans nor the supernatural will scare the humans. I think she was overdoing things there; I even got confused as to what she was saying. Building onto the pack house sounded good, but connecting the hotel to the pack house, I wasn't so sure about it. However, she started talking again, saying, "On second thought, that could be dangerous. If we did that, anyone could just walk in and spy on the pack. I don't like that idea. How about we just expand it as much as we can? I mean, it could be the biggest hotel ever. That means I would have to hire more people, but that's okay. I will expand it enough to take the land and leave enough trees for other animals. We can't just run them off; they were here before us. So, half the hotel will be for the supernatural and the other half for humans, even though we barely have humans stay a night or two. I have so many ideas for it." I think my mate has gone crazy over this idea, but if this is what she wants to do, then I'm not going to stop her. I will not step in her way; she's come a long way, and I'm going to support her. When we finally made it home, the pack members were looking to see who got out of the car with me. As soon as she stepped out, the pack came running.
"Luna Laura, I'm so glad you're back. The pack hasn't been the same without you," said Susan, a warrior and one of the best. Even Troy, one of the guards, greeted her.
"Welcome back, Luna Laura. Susan is right; the pack has not been the same without you. I saw her nervous, but she relaxed after a few minutes. She knew she was home. I wanted to spend some time with her on my own, so I had to speak up before they dragged her away.
"Hey guys, I want to spend some time with my mate, okay? We are going to have a welcome home get-together tomorrow afternoon. So I need wood because we are going to have a fire pit and lots of laughter." Everyone cheered. I don't do the usual cookout thing; we have a fire pit, and everyone talks about the good times and the bad times. We get it all out in one night. Even when someone has a problem with another person, they talk it out that night. I took Laura up to our room. We both took a shower together. I knew I was hard as a rock and could smell her arousal. It was just too much for me. After our shower, we dried off. Then I carried her to the bedroom, laid her on the bed, and got between her legs.
"You do know it drove me crazy not sleeping in the same bed with you. Your scent was gone, but now it's going to be back." Before she could talk, my lips found hers. My tongue demanded entrance into her mouth. This was going to be a long night. I'm going to make sure she knows how much I have missed her."
