Chapter 28

Jasper's POV

Everyone wanted to come to the hotel to see their Luna, but I had to let them down. I told them that soon they would see her, I promise. They have been missing her so much. They're not the only ones; I miss her as well. The scent on her pillow is now gone. I can't stand being in that room without her. When she told me she needed to talk to me about something, I knew something was going on. I drove to the flower store and got some sunflowers so I could bring them to her. Then I drove to the hotel. When I got there, I knew I was nervous, but I needed to keep my cool. Whatever she needed to tell me, I would need to understand. I handed her the flowers, and then she said she needed to talk with me. We went somewhere private. That's when she told me everything, even the reason why she made her choice to lose her memory of everyone. She had to, and I understood. I already knew all of this. But I didn't know she had her memory of me when we went out on the date. I wanted to be upset about it, but she had her reasons. I was upset, but I kept my cool. I asked her about her shifting, and she said she did. They're a lot stronger now. I really wanted to see her cat, but that will be another day. She did the paperwork for LeeAnn and sent it to her through fax. Then she showed me the kitchen and dining room. The rooms were looking wonderful, and I was very proud of her. We went back to the indoor pool area so we could talk some more.

“Do you know, I can control all my powers, but I haven't gotten the one where I can see the future just yet. Do you want to see what I can do with one of them?” I was excited about this. I wanted to see what she could do. So I set up, then I said, "Hell yeah, I want to see." I sat back to watch. At first, I didn't see anything because I didn’t know what she could do. But then the water in the pool started lifting and twirling around. It got high up, then it splashed down gently, then lifted again like it was dancing. My jaw dropped open as I watched it.

“Are you doing that?" She smiled as part of the water came closer to me, twirled around my head, then sprinkled down on me. That was so freaking cool. I wondered what else she could do. So I asked her, "That was really cool. So, what else can you do?" Well, she showed me. The belt on my pants decided it wanted to come off my belt loops. I laughed because I knew it was her. But then the candle on the other side of the room decided it wanted to float over to me. She could use her mind to move things. I forgot what it was called, but it can be cool and dangerous. The next thing she showed me was that she lit the candle on fire. Okay, so she has the powers of how to tell when someone is telling the truth. She can move objects, control the elements, and set things on fire. The only one she doesn't have is the one where she can see into the future. I asked her, "Who is the woman who wants my mate?" She stood there just looking at me, and then she smiled.

"I like the sound of that. Well, Miller said her name is Cherry. She's been after me for a long time now, and since she knows of my powers, she wants me for them. He was sent here to make me fall in love with him, but he wasn't going to do that; he was going to try and get us back together. But in the time he was going to do that, he found his mate. They plan on building their own pack. He went the other day to talk to the elders and to buy land. But since he told her he was going to go another route, she sent someone to kill his mate and then him. But yes, there's a but half the pack came with them. They now have rooms in my hotel; fifty people came with him and his mate. They are on their land right now, building onto it.

Cherry's POV:

I can't believe half my pack is gone. How could they do that to me? The other half stayed knowing they wanted to serve me and not some nut job that said he was going to build a pack. It's going to take a year, maybe even months, if they have the right people to build. I will fix that problem once it's built; I'll just set it on fire. I have sent my spies to watch them; they will make sure the build does not go well. So far, they had set the wood on fire, so they had to buy bricks to build. Then the drill bits had gone missing. It's so funny; they will call me tomorrow to let me know what else they are doing. They will regret ever going against me. I will have other packs go against them; I will even get the king and queen to do that as well. Just you wait; I will get that b***h, and she will tell me everything that I need to know. I will have my way. I knew it was a matter of time that the other half of the pack would leave, but while they are here, I'll use them as much as I need to. Besides, no one will ever find out who killed the alpha; no one thinks it was the Luna that loved him so much that would do anything for him. Yeah, I did everything I did for him just to have the power. I poisoned him slowly with Wolfbane; I would pour just a little bit at a time into his food or drink. Slowly he got sick; when he went to the doctors, he would get better. So I tried another dose of something else; it was mixed with Wolfbane and silver, mixed with a very powerful dose of sleeping pills. I made him overdose on it without anyone ever knowing. After his meals, I would make him a glass of tea or his favorite drink, bourbon. I would smash them up so he was unable to taste them; then I would mix the Wolfbane and silver up. Now, silver does not harm werecats, but if you put enough in there, it kills the stomach slowly. Then after it does that, it starts killing everything else. But with the help of the Wolfbane, it does it faster. I had to be careful using it. When he died, I threw everything away; I made sure no one ever knew what I did. Now it's my turn again to have the power I want, and I will get it. I called one of the girls that stayed.

"Nia, have you heard anything yet?"

"No, I haven't, Alpha, but I can go there and see what's going on." I smirked at her. She was a good spy; I might just keep her when I get done with getting what I want."

“You go do that. Make sure you're not seen. I don't want anything to happen to you." She nodded, then left. I like her. She wants power as well, but not before I get it first.
