Hero?

The sun was still bright when Jin Sung and Shi Sung returned home. Shi Sung had a lot of fun with her brother, ate lots of tasty snacks, got a new dress, and walked into the mall, which was something she always wanted to do. She glanced at her brother who was looking very charming and handsome today for some reason with his bright smile, blue eyes, and black hair. She held his hand which was cold to the touch because of the AC but slowly turned warmer as they continued to walk home. "Do you want to see the train?" Her brother asked. Shi Sung shook her head."Maybe next time," she replied, she already had a lot of fun with her dear brother and it was time to go home. Along the way, Shi Sung saw all kinds of vehicles; cars and trucks were the majority, driving here and there filling the wide black road. "Brother, does the hero make those cars?" Shi Sung asked. People in Xiangwei City didn't know Jin Sung's identity, what they know is that the man in a black suit and black mask was the one who freed them from oppression. "I guess so," Jin Sung replied. "The mall, and the train too?" She asked again. Jin Sung nodded as they walked by the zebra cross. "Woah, the hero is so cool!" Shi Sung praised. "Why do you think he's cool?" Jin Sung curiously asked. "Because the hero makes all the people in the city happy, and the hero also makes Shi Sung feel happy." Shi Sung said. She was happy, she could go outside without being wary of cultivators and she could go outside with her brother to play, she could see cars, trucks, malls and bought a beautiful dress. Jin Sung was quite startled by Shi Sung's simple yet true answer. Yes, it's not as complex as freedom, equality, and dignity, no, it was as simple as being happy. Shi Sung glanced at the convoy of green tactical trucks bypassing the traffic with a loud siren wailing constantly. "Shi'er do you know who those people are?" Shi Sung shook her head and replied: "No," "Those are the soldiers of our hero, they are the ones who willingly risk their lives to help the hero make the people in the city happy," Jin Sung said. Since Jin Sung's soldiers remained mostly underground, many people didn't know or had never seen one. With how big the tunnel was, the soldiers of the Revolutionary Army didn't really need to travel to the surface, and it was much faster and safer. Shi Sung sparkled with admiration. So those people are the one who helps the hero? Shi Sung dashed to Jin Sung's surprise, he didn't know why Shi Sung was running all of a sudden. "Shi'er where are you going it's dangerous!" Jin Sung dodged the speeding car as it honked at him. Shi Sung ran with bated breath before arriving in front of the tactical truck. The truck screeched as the driver pressed the brake, coming to a complete stop just before Shi Sung. The truck's siren continued to howl and it honked at her horn to chase her away, but Shi Sung stared at the truck with determination as she stretched out her hand and shouted: "Thank you! Thank you for making the people happy!" The driver was startled at first, but then he smiled as he watched the little girl ran away to the embrace of her brother. The driver drove the truck to its destination still with a smile on his face. Jin Sung rubbed her head as she fell into his embrace, he understood her feeling. Years of oppression and finally being able to feel freedom. It must have been hard on her all this time, even though she kept acting mischievous and casual, Jin Sung knew she was scared all this time. Shi Sung glanced at Jin Sung who stared back at her with a smile. "Let's go home," he said. Shi Sung nodded before she held his hand and walked home under the bright sun in Xiangwei City. A few months had passed and the city continued to improve in technology, economy, and military. The city was finally expanded, at first Jin Sung wanted to remove the wall completely but Ignacio and the others still thought that the wall is still necessary to hold off the enemy. But that didn't stop Jin Sung from building skyscrapers and pagodas outside the walls, with more and more people coming in towards the city to migrate, he needed to build those structures for them to stay, he also built more and more aquaponic farms to feed these people. Jin Sung also made more and more company because the more company there was the more job for the people and the more money they could spend. He has also built a practical school specializing in teaching useful practical skills in the city. This is where people aged 19 and over can come in and practice the field they are interested in directly by working or doing internships. For this reason, the city was more lively and bustling than ever, more schools were created for children and adults, more types of knowledge; astronomy, physics, biology, programming, literature, etc. Jin Sung had created a computer company called Antel which had hired talented people who are talented and skilled in programming and computers, he hoped there would be a genius entrepreneur who would make another company and increase the competition to create a stronger and faster computer. He also built a lot of stellar telescopes to observe the sky and to find other planets that might have an alien civilization in them, or just maybe to find an asteroid rich in minerals and possibly harvest them in the future. Jin Sung hasn't even won the war for equality yet but he already has the thought to reach out outside the planets, a typical modern earthling mindset. And Shi Sung for the first time ever is going to elementary school, where she will meet new friends, and learn new things that might interest her. There were also roads that connected to BrinePort and Xiangwei, this way people can travel to and fro from each city, people's lives will be better as the economy grows larger and larger. Overall it's a good development, Jin Sung thought as he gazed at the stars in the sky by the window. "Brother, help me with this math homework, how can I multiply 78 by 4?" Jin Sung sighed as he turned around to look at the distressed Shi Sung. Maybe I should remove math, he thought before he took the pen and paper from Shi Sung's hand and explained to her how to solve the math problem. Xiangwei city was lively and bright even when the other cities were sleeping and the people have gone to bed, but apparently, that didn't apply to this city as the pagodas and skyscrapers lit up the entire city with the people inside them still have their lights turned on, combined with the streetlight and the headlights of thousands of cars as they waited for traffic, the city was pretty much like a torch inside a dark dungeon. There were a lot of cars driving around the city and the road seemed to be jam-packed with them, a lot of people have bought a car or two for themself and this caused a lot of traffic every day, the cause of this was the price of the car; it was too cheap. Made by ordinary iron which is abundant and cultivators didn't use them and with that, the price for iron was dirt cheap making the production of cars very affordable. Jin Sung also built a sports car company called Lamborari which is a lot more expensive and luxurious and only rich people could afford them, most buyers were unsurprisingly cultivators, Ignacio and Brugdath were included in this list. "Do you understand how to divide and multiply now?" Jin Sung asked with tired eyes before he yawned. Shi Sung rubbed her sleepy eyes as she nodded."I think so," She yawned before she put away the paper and climb onto Jin Sung's bed before falling asleep. Jin Sung smiled before he also climbed onto the bed and slept beside her. The homework was hard, the night was long but their sleep was good as they woke up the next day with the sun shining to greet them by the window. Ring! Ring! Ring! Jin Sung woke up with the sound of the alarm, he turned to pick up his phone and looked at the time, it was 6 AM and Shi Sung's school starts at 9 AM. He turned and saw that Shi Sung is still sleeping soundly. He sighed before he climbed out of the bed and went to the kitchen to make some breakfast. Jin Sung's house had been renovated and it was 2 stories tall now, he could make it bigger and grander but he couldn't let Shi Sung become suspicious. The price to renovate the house was cheap and almost everyone in the neighborhood renovated their house, all thanks to Jin Sung's renovation company called House Builder, which also accepted service to construct a new house. The breakfast was simple, an egg, bacon, and bread. That was for Jin Sung, breakfast for Shi Sung was a steamed bun filled with meat and vegetables. As to how Jin Sung learned all these even though he had never cooked for himself back on earth? Let's just say that the knowledge he bought on the system proved to be very useful. Jin Sung turned off the stove, it was an electric stove black edition, Jin Sung's favorite. He prepared the table before he called out: "Shi'er breakfast is ready!" Jin Sung sorted the plate and food orderly so it looked beautiful and nice to look at before he glanced towards the stairs. "Shi'er breakfast is ready!" He shouted again. "Coming," She replied before Jin Sung saw her hurriedly run down the stairs and fell in on the dining chair. "Today is steamed bun day, yay!!" She shouted happily as she stared at the panda steamed bun with saliva on her lip. "I didn't ask you yesterday, how was school?" Jin Sung asked. Shi Sung munched on the steamed bun with ballooned cheeks as she replied: "School was good," Jin Sung took a big bite of his sandwich. "Have you made any friends?" Shi Sung gulped."Yes, lots," "What's their name?" Jin Sung asked before he took another bite of the tasty sandwich. "Huo Jian, Wan Gang, Luo Ruo..." Shi Sung stared at the ceilings as she tried to remember. "I forgot," Shi Sung rubbed her head in shame, there were too many people at school and she couldn't remember their names in a short time. "What about the teachers, can you understand their teaching?" Jin Sung asked again before he looked at the time on his phone, it was 8 AM. "Uhm... Most of the time, yes!" She replied before she took another bun. After they were having breakfast, Shi Sung went off to school and Jin Sung went to work at the government as a resident agent or so that he told Shi Sung. Jin Sung picked up his phantom suit under the bed, he wore it and disappeared from the spot. When he arrived at his office, which is located in a castle that overlooked the entire city, he received stacks of paper on his table. He wanted to modernize his work by making the documents virtual and work using computers but sadly his important personnels couldn't use computers yet, and so he was left with this pile of paper on his desk. He took a paper and read it, the paper was written by Ignacio, he reported the condition and status of the army, significant improvement had been seen on the soldier's strength with Brugdath helping them in cultivation and ordinary people were adept in their shootings, breaking the records of shooting a 2,5km target with M-16 rifles, that's the range only a sniper could reach. He also told Jin Sung that the army needed more tanks, tactical trucks, and mecha. Okay wait a second I understand you need more tactical trucks for stealing supplies, but why would you need tanks and mechas? Jin Sung read the paper with a questioning look before he read further down and realized the situation. The enemy had prepared more heavily armored troops to guard their supplies, this made it harder and harder for the soldiers to assault and steal their supplies, this was the reason Ignacio gave to Jin Sung. Jin Sung put the paper on the table as he ruminated. Alright, should I produce 100 more tanks?
