A Good Change.

"Here is your sweet potatoes little girl," The old man gave two wraps of sweet potatoes to Shi Sung before he glanced at Jin Sung and showed his palm. "That would be 2 silvers," the old man said.

Jin Sung took out 2 silvers from his pouch and gave them to the old man.

"Thank you. have a nice day." The old man pocketed the silvers before he waved his hand while Shi Sung munched on her sweet potatoes as they walked away.

Looking at his sister who was so busy munching on her food put a smile on his face. "Is it really that good?" Jin Sung asked.

Shi Sung shuddered as she stopped her footstep and slowly glanced at Jin Sung.

Jin Sung was startled by Shi Sung's look, it had a tint of unwillingness in it. Shi Sung glanced at her sweet potatoes before she offered one to Jin Sung."Brother can have one." She said while hiding her hesitance.

Jin Sung didn't know what to say, he was startled for a moment before he subtly smiled and rubbed Shi Sung's head. "Brother is already full, you can have it."

Shi Sung responded by happily munching on her sweet potatoes. Jin Sung brought his sister to stroll around the city. It was a very weird experience for Jin Sung and his sister when he saw a clear contrast between traditional and modern buildings when they are so close together, but it also made him realize that the city will change and it will change for the better. No longer did the old man need to worry about cultivators that will harass his daughter.

That's right it was that old man who had his daughter harassed by cultivators when Jin Sung arrived in this world. Jin Sung felt so much better, he felt like he had done something good and correct, this motivates him to do more and more, he needs to make every human in this world be free just like the old man who sold the sweet potatoes.

"Shi Sung, didn't you want to try to go to the mall?" Jin Sung asked.

"No," Shi Sung shook her head while she bit her haw flakes.

"Why not? There are a lot of beautiful clothes that you can try in there," Jin Sung was confused. She didn't even ask what is in there or what kind of place the mall is.

Shi Sung shook her head once again making Jin Sung even more confused. "Didn't you want to buy pretty clothes?"

"Tara told me that place is full of expensive stuff." Shi Sung said.

So that's why she refused to go, Jin Sung thought. "There is also cheap stuff in the mall. maybe Tara didn't know about that." Jin Sung glanced at Shi Sung. "Even though it's cheap doesn't mean it's ugly."

"Really? Can we go there now?" Shi Sung excitedly asked.

"Sure," Jin Sung replied before Shi Sung excitedly dragged him to the mall.

The mall was bustling with people, there were a lot of cars in the parking lot and some people couldn't park their car because there was no space left.

Shi Sung held her brother's hand as she looked left and right and the only thing she had in mind were - people, tons of people; some excitedly looked at the ornate gold jewelry which is quite popular these days, some just wanted to look around with no goals in mind.

Shi Sung was startled when her brother picked her up and put her on his shoulder.

"Can you see better?" He asked.

Shi Sung nodded before she replied: "Yes, I can."

She assessed the mall and she was awed by what she saw; It was wide and tall; Luxurious and sumptuous. Shi Sung could see a few ornate gold chandeliers hanging on the ceilings with a golden crystal softly yet brightly lit the mall inside.

She took a deep breath as she enjoyed the sight only to feel cold air enter her nose and she could taste the moisture in the air. She was kinda surprised as she realized that she felt comfortably cold inside the mall, contrary to the outside which is blazing hot.

"Brother, why is it so cool in here?" Shi Sung asked.

"Uh... Qi I guess," Jin Sung replied awkwardly. He couldn't possibly explain that there was a device that sucked the hot air inside the mall and cools it with a liquid before it ejects it to the mall again. Even if he did, Shi Sung wouldn't understand.

Shi Sung's eyes sparkled in wonder. How could those cultivators do such a thing, if they can cool our home wouldn't that be nice.

"Brother, can we also cool our home?"

Hearing his sister's question almost made Jin Sung facepalmed himself. I forgot, why didn't I make an HVAC company, if I make it, a lot of people will certainly buy it, especially if he can export it to BrinePort who had a seaport connected to other kingdoms, with that his HVAC would be sold worldwide.

"I think we can in a few days," Jin Sung replied after a while.

Shi Sung was happy when she heard that, she loved the cool air the mall has, it made her feel comfortable and not prone to sweat.

Shi Sung tried out the new dress which was handpicked by her most beloved and only brother, she twisted and turned herself as she looked at her person in the mirror of the changing room.

The red and white dress leaves the top of her shoulders fully covered, it flows down into a fancy round neckline. It's a loose fit which makes the dress both enjoyable to wear and look at.

The sleeves were loose and wide which covered her arms till her wrists. The waist was narrow but still a loose fit. It was colorful and beautiful which matched her appearance perfectly.

Laughing with a smug look, Shi Sung left the changing room and showed off to her brother who was waiting outside.

"How is it, brother?" Shi Sung spun around left and right.

Jin Sung smiled and nodded. "You look very beautiful,"

His compliment made Shi Sung happy and satisfied. Shi Sung walked up to him and held his hand before she looked at him in the eyes. "Shi'er is very happy today, thank you, brother." Shi Sung smiled as she radiated with happiness.

Jin Sung looked at his only sister, it reminded him of his mother and father back on modern earth. How are they now, he wondered. They raised a good child, transmigrating into another world with unexplainable power is not fun, to say the least when you have to fight powerful cultivators. But he didn't regret it and it was confirmed by Shi Sung's smile and the old man's smile and everyone's smile in this city.

Without Jin Sung revolting and fighting against the power that oppressed these powerless men, they would only be enslaved and mistreated. The changes he brought were good, his decision was correct and it consolidated his resolution to fight, he will give the ordinary people the dignity they deserve, he will give every human equality, and most importantly - Jin Sung caressed Shi Sung's cheek as he stared at her - He will protect her smile.
