Jason Carter the owner and editor of his own newspaper was living his teen hood dream in a place where he loved. he had fallen for the island on his very first visit when he came for a get-away with his friends, the serenity and the hospitality of the people had gotten his attention and in no less than two months he moved in. living here has only increased his love for the town.

the smell of pizza and fries were still wafting through the air- that had been a ritual for him and his staff every weekend and he enjoyed building a relationship with them- when Kelly came in after most of the staff had already gone home.

Kelly was a very attractive woman but fresh out of college and was the best reporter who has had an eye for Jason. "so what are you planning for the weekend" Kelly asked.

"well nothing really just planning on going round the town". Jason replied.

"well I have an idea, why don't you come over to my place then we can rent some movies and popcorn".

" thanks for that but I think I'll pass- it definitely sounds great but it will be better to stay neutral than having something to do with the staff and he wouldn't want to jeopardize with the gains she comes with- I'm really sorry Kelly but I don't think I can make it."

"but why?", Kelly asked with a frown and then her face totally fell when he answered" you know it isn't great to mix business with pleasure."

After seeing Kelly off, he received a call from one of his allies who told him about Emma's death, he felt terrible about it but then his reporter instinct took over immediately when he asked for more information on the death and who was handling the case.
