Chapter six

Emily:

Everything happened so fast. One minute I’m talking to Joseph and the next minute William is getting his Alpha titled stripped. I don’t even think it has sunk in that my mate is a king!

The guy called Sam dragged William away in silver cuffs. I’m not sure what there going to do to him and I don’t think I care. All my life he has tortured me for no reason. Joseph took me upstairs to his room and asked me to wait while he had a meeting with his pack members about what we’ll be happening now. With everything that has happened I just can’t seem to relax. All I can do is pace back and forth in the room. Then there’s a soft knock at the door. Alice peeps her head in.

“Awww honey”. She runs up to give me a big hug and I just burst into tears. “ Its ok. Everything is ok now. You’ll be safe”. She pulls me away and looks into my eyes. “The moment I saw you as a young child I always knew you were destined for something special and I was right. Look at you. Misses soon to be queen on the wolfs”.

“Alice what if he rejects me?”. I whimper.

“Oh no he wouldn’t do that hun. Why would you think that?”. She uses her finger to wipe away my tears.

“ Because I’m broken. Ruined. No one would want me and definitely not a king. I can’t be a queen! I’m nothing but a slave. ”.

“Awww hun you are a lot more then you think, actually I have something to tell”. There’s another soft knock at that door. Alice gets up to open It and finds Joseph waiting.

“I’ll talk to you later hun. I have something really important that I think you need to hear” She gives me a kiss on the forehead before leaving the room.

Joseph:

Hearing my mate worried that I’m going to reject her is like a stab in the heart. I didn’t mean to ease drop but they are talking kind of loud. I’ve been waiting for her for so long i would never even think about rejecting her. I lightly knock on the door. An older lady with short light brown hair opens the door. She gives my mate a kiss on the forehead before leaving and telling her they’ll talk later.

“I was hoping you might consider staying here with me tonight. I know it’s a big ask but I would feel safer if I knew you were close. I’m happy to sleep on the floor if that makes you feel more comfortable.” She raises an eye brow at me.

“ It’s ok. I’m fine sharing a bed with you”. I watch as she nervously takes a seat on the side of the bed.

“Emily I know it will take a while after everything that’s happened but You will learn to trust me. I am here for you no matter what. I’m not leaving you”. My mate smiles up at me.

“Thankyou” she whispers. “ Are you hungry? I did cook breakfast earlier but it would be cold now. I am happy to make you something though to thank you for sticking up for me earlier ”. I take the seat next to her on the bed. My hand sits on top of hers. Warm feels my heart.

“You don’t need to thank me. I would do it all over again”. The thought of food makes my belly rumble. She giggles. I smile at her. This is the first time I’ve seen her smile and she has the cutest smile.

“I will take that as a yes though about the food. Come with me”. She grabs my hand and pulls me along with her until we get to the kitchen. She pushes me into one of the stools and starts pulling all this stuff out of the fridge. I watch in amazement as she makes me a full English breakfast including fried mushrooms and tomato in a matter of minutes. She passes me the plate and some cutlery.

“Wow that was fast”. I look down at the plate. “It all looks so good”. I jester her to come and sit on the seat next to me. “Are you going to eat?”. I ask.

“No. I’m kind of use to not eating so I’m not really hungry”. Pain fills my heart for her.

“We’ll that’s going to change”. I cut up some of the bacon and hold it on the fork near her mouth. “ Come on I won’t take no for an answer” I grin. She looks down at the fork before taking the bite. I made her let me share the rest of my breakfast with her. After only a few bites she insisted she was done but I convinced her to try abit of the egg and hash brown aswell.

“That was amazing. You are a great cook”. I get up and put the plate in the sink. She smiles at me.

“Thankyou. Alice taught me everything I know”.

“Is Alice the lady that was in our room earlier?”. My mate nods.

“Yes. She was the one that looked after me when I first came to the pack. I guess she’s always been like a mother to me. She’s the only one that ever spoke to me once Alpha William ordered people not to and she taught me how to cook and clean. She’s always been there for me”.

“That was very lovely of her”. I take the seat next to my mate again.

“Yeah it was. I wish there was something I could do to thank her”.

“Well maybe you can get her a gift”. My mate shrugs her shoulders.

“ I don’t have any money”.

“ Yes but I do. I would also like to thank her for trying her best to look after my mate all these years”.

“We’ll she has always talked about wanting an orchid flower. She loves gardening. That whole outside garden use to be hers until Alpha William banned her for looking after it. He didn’t think it was worth it and that she was wasting valuable time when she could have been doing something more useful”.

“I can definitely arrange that”.

“Really?” My mate asks surprisingly.

“ Oh course. I can get anyone almost anything. “

“Oh really? That would be amazing. But I would hate for you to go through all that trouble for me.”

“It’s no trouble at all ”. I smile at her. “By the way do you need anything? In the cell down stairs I noticed you didn’t seem to have much stuff?”

“ I don’t. Alpha William stated I wasn’t worth wasting money on. So all I have is a maids outfit for the day and a pair of old pjs. This dress isn’t even mine he made me borrow it in case I was seen today.”. God I’m hating this Alpha William more and more each minutes. Her cheeks start going red.

“ Dont be embarrassed. I thought that might have been the case from what I saw. I have more men arriving hopefully by the end of the day and with those men I’ve also arranged for my sister to come. I have already asked and she’s going to take you shopping to get everything you need tomorrow. I have heaps of stuff to sort out here with the pack. Lots of meetings and discussions about who should be appointed as the new Alpha. So you guys will have the whole day to yourself. If you think you’ll be ok?”

“I think I should be”. She slightly smiles. I just hope my sister doesn’t go overboard with Emily. She can sometimes be a little to much.
