Chapter 13

AALIYAH POV- YEAR 202 

In the passing two months, we have succeeded in implementing the first step of our plan. The wives of the Kings has listed, and industries in their kingdoms. Also, we have organized our first awareness programs and succeeded in making positive attitude in the hearts of men. Although, at the beginning there was a resist from men, with the explanation of the Emperor and Aaden as the Crown prince the resistance was control. With the support of the emperor, we were able to build market places to sell the quality goods, and a system to exchange the goods between kingdoms. The significant factor was this system mainly empowers women. Many of the responsible ranks held by women. Now we are on the way to the Palace after visiting one of the markets from the Kingdoms.

“Sister-in-law, you are very skillful and thoughtful. This system is helping our economy greatly than I thought. My father and mother are so proud to have you as their daughter-in-law. I’m so happy too, and our nation is very lucky to have you as our Crown Princess. You’ll be an excellent Empress to this Nation in the Future.”

Her praises make me happy. I’m happy that, I was able to do a fair contribution to this Nation as the Role of the Crown Princess.

“It’s my duty to serve the Nation as the Crown princess of the Nation and contribute to the welfare of the Nation.”

“Yes, you are right. But the all the leaders do not think like you. There are many ladies who are envious with you because of the post crown princess. They do not love my brother like you do and do not want to serve the Nation as you need. The only thing they expect to have is the power they gain as the crown princess. Also, citizens have begun to love you. Your proposal to build a woman army has created a new enthusiasm between the young ladies.”

Alena’s words make me happy. Palanquin stops suddenly with loud scrams around and as soon as I open palanquin entrance to look around two arrows hit on my shoulder without allowing me to do anything.

‘s**t! It hurt like hell.’

“Oh my god! Sister-in-law, you are hurt.”

Aliena screams when she sees blood flowing from my wounds.

“Probably the guards would not be able to defeat them. We must act soon. So, please be calm Aliena.”

I say while trying to hide my pain as much as possible.

“How can I be calm? You are hurt. The crown princess of our nation. My best friend.”

She says while crying.

“If you don’t behave calm, we’ll be dying in few minutes. So, tear a piece of cloth from my gown and tie it around my shoulder.”

Seems like this time she understands the situation. While she tears a piece of cloth from my gown, I remove the arrows from my wound.

‘s**t! It hurts so much’

I close my eyes to bare the pain and open my eyes when I feel Aliena wrapping my wound. After that, both of us take our swords, and get down from the palanquin from Aliena’s side. Seems like their target is me. There weren’t attackers at the Princess Aliena’s side. Because I cannot battle with them my wound, the next best option is to escape from here. 

Two swordsmen come in front of us. I know, only with these two months training Alena cannot defeat both these well-trained Assassins. 

“Aliena take care of one. I’ll take care the other.”

“No, you cannot. You’re right-handed, and your right shoulder is hurt. You’ll get hurt more.”

Aliena refuses me and begins to fight with both while covering me. I look around to see that, most of our guards and maids are killed by the assassins. If we want to survive, the only option is to flee from here.

“You and me both know that, you can’t defeat these two at once. We have to flee from here before other Assassins see us.”

Saying that, I fight with one swordsman and my shoulder hurts like a hell. With a great difficulty we killed both swordsmen and flee from the place. On the way I feel like me body cannot support more by my legs. So, I talk to Aliena.

“Aliena, I’m sorry. I cannot come with you more. Leave me here and escape.”

She runs back to me and support my body to stand up from the ground.

“I’ll never leave you. If I survive, we’ll both do it together. If we fail, both will die together.”

There was no energy in me to resist her and I know that she’ll not leave me whatever I say. So, I decided to work according to her. After a few minutes we find a cave and both of us walk into it Aliena helps me to sit down. 

“I’ll try to find some water and brings to you while looking someone for help.”

I grab her hand to stop her.

“Don’t go. Assassins will come looking for us when they find that we have flee. Wait till they pass us. If not, you will also get attack by them.”

Agreeing to my words, she sits down beside me. My eyes feel so heavy to open, and my energy is leaving my body with every drop of blood oozing from the wound. I know I can’t hold it anymore. Maybe I’ll die here without seeing my love, my parents or real world I belong. I know Aaden will devasted.

I take Aliena’s hand in my hand and keep it on my head. 

“Aliena promise me that, you’ll not leave here till the assassins pass here.”

She looks at me with tear filled eyes, without saying anything.

“Promise me.”

When I murmured again she promise me in a murmur.

“I promise. Please, don’t close your eyes, okay? Please”

“I’m feeling tired. I’m just closing my eyes to take some rest. Tell your brother that, I love him.”
